Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun . Never used to watch this , taken it up in the last two series . You don't have to use your brain [luckily!] , it's easy watching .

I also like the spin off , Beyond Paradise , with Kris Marshall and his girlfriend solving crimes .

Def easy watching and I enjoyed the spin off but know some didn't

I got so excited when I saw this but we will record it and watch it on Friday or Saturday with 11 year old DD who absolutely loves it.

Omg I can't believe that I missed there was a new season staring. Off to iPlayer now.

It was a odd one though. No big reunion to mark his 50th (and should he not be retired by now) and absence of colleagues, past and present, at the celebratory lunch. Even Catherine was elsewhere. Was the point that Sean Maguire reappeared, but not as same character?

I was a bit underwhelmed by the plot. Hope the next one is better.

I prefer the whodunnit lineup at the end too, but I liked how the suspect was there from the start, though we didn't see him. It was a shame it was someone who could have turned his life around, but I guess if you're a Dip crim in series one, you're a DiP crim for life 😉

I did wonder if was him as a star /well known name but then saw one man shot so ....
