Yah. One of my fav series is back. Easy watching - nice location and like to guess the murderer. Often wrong. Sometimes right 😂😂

sunday is the 100th episode as well

and someone who was in the first ever episode is back

‘I was lucky enough to be in the very first episode of #DeathInParadise now 12 years have passed & I was delighted to be asked back and appear in the 100th episode alongside the legend that is Don Warrington & a fab cast’, he wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of his family and Don Warrington.

sure was on a Friday night last series so wonder why now prime time on Sunday for bbc but who cares

Preposterous nonsense, as usual, but I enjoyed that. Nice to see Hayley Mills.

NewName24 · 12/02/2024 00:40

It was a odd one though. No big reunion to mark his 50th (and should he not be retired by now) and absence of colleagues, past and present, at the celebratory lunch. Even Catherine was elsewhere.

I did think this about the first episode.
I mean the "way it all happened and how I figured it out" were ridiculous Grin but we still love it.

2nd episode slightly more feasible which shows how ridiculous the first one was-.

I am terrible at knowing who actors are, and love but am also frustrated by all the faces that turn up in DiP whilst I am trying to guess the 'Who, How, and Why' and am getting distracted by wondering who the actors / actresses are and what else they have been in Grin

InMySpareTime · 12/02/2024 07:33

@NewName24 IMDB is good for that, we usually end up pausing stuff while we spend ten minutes down the rabbit hole of what else the various actors was in and who else was in that and what else the costars were in...

NewName24 · 12/02/2024 19:03

Thanks @InMySpareTime
DiP has such a wealth of 'faces I know' doesn't it ?

InMySpareTime · 12/02/2024 21:00

Yes, anything with British actors in, they were probably also in DiP, Casualty and The Bill at some point.

CabbageSeller · 12/02/2024 22:07

Such wonderful easy to watch nonsense. Perfect balance of a puzzle, some humour and the inter relationships of the regulars

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 12/02/2024 22:14

Also Midsomer Murders. There can't be many working members of Equity who haven't put in time in either Midsomer or DiP!

E3 tonight

Grand opening of a hotel the chef is poisoned yet didn't eat anything

This reminds me of the one playing chess. And poison was on the chess piece and got swapped

🫡

Enjoyed the last two as it is a lovely no think experience - just park thyself and settle into cushions. I am a simple soul who wants to live there very much!

Tis a record tonight for me though as I very much need to kip as I’m up at the hoot of the owls.

Enjoy!

Stressedgiraffe · 18/02/2024 20:59

Love a bit of death in paradise. It currently keeps the Sunday blues away as my brain is convinced its Friday.

JewelleryCat · 18/02/2024 21:12

If you like subtitles on DiP, they don’t seem to be working

Way back in the 90s, she worked in the cafe in This Life which Egg ended up in. It seems only a few years ago but it's really not...

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2024 23:49

Oh wow. I loved this life. Weirdly enough im rewatching or now (for prob the 100th) time😂

It's on drama channel in evening

That was a bit of a darker episode I thought for DiP.

InMySpareTime · 19/02/2024 07:02

Back to the classic "4 suspects" format, with a good "Murder on the Orient Express" twist to it.
Possibly I've watched too many murder mysteries but I saw the method straight away and spotted the metoo moment by about halfway through.

WatchOutMissMarpleIsAbout · 19/02/2024 07:07

I’d guessed 2 of the women but not the third pretty much from the off. And the ‘me too’ line at the end!

Agapornis · 21/02/2024 11:21

Quite like that they went for a more topical crime. Dealt with quite sensitively. Though I wouldn't want that every week from DiP, Call The Midwife and Silent Witness usually have social issues covered already!

diddl · 21/02/2024 13:35

When I first started watching the one with Hayley Mills in I thought "that's the killer!"

😂😂😂

MissHavershamReturns · 22/02/2024 12:04

Loving this series so far

Riverlee · 22/02/2024 21:14

Just watched the last two programmes. Thought the bingo episode was good. Guesses it was the daughter when she said ‘not for money’.

The ‘at your age’ was a nice bit of humour.

The cookery competition was well put together, and thought ‘the reveal’ was sensitively done. However, I felt it was a bit incomplete at the end. I would have liked to have seen something to indicate more cases were coming forward.

Love this series.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2024 22:10

Slightly behind so just seen the cookery one

All 3. That's unusual

I liked the cookery one @Blondeshavemorefun

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/02/2024 22:59

It was good and clever

Think have one more on planner

May watch Tom
