For those who have seen all five episodes and binged it all.
Thought it was ok, very funny at times.

Also how does Julia look so great in everything she wears??? I know I'd look terrible in pink waist tied jeans and a baggy polo neck and puffa coat but she always looks fantastic - even in series two in a sweatshirt joggers and overcoat going out with Meg

@Thirtyrock39 I think she was also in an episode of not going out where there was something to do with a lollipop man, I’m sure I recognised her as one of the mums at the crossing! Bit random but I’m quite good at recognising faces (sometimes )

@Thirtyrock39 - blimey, I know taste is subjective, but I think Julia is the worst dressed character on tv! I thought it was about how she'd lost self care and never looked in a mirror. I assumed the costume dept got her clothes from charity shops in the wrong size. That purply puffa coat is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen and all her knitwear is bobbly. I think they're contrasting her with Meg and Amanda who look good.

I actually think Julia is stylish. It’s all subjective!! I love the slight ‘jumble sale’ look. It’s very London. If you look at what she’s actually wearing (mum jeans) it’s all fashionable stuff. In a casual way and for me that’s more stylish than Amanda who is very ‘ladies that lunch’ but not cool.

Ok, maybe I'm in the minority but I don't get why you'd look so bad! I thought it was because she'd been working from home and just got into not caring. No problems with jeans or trackies but the nasty acrylic knitwear I think is a point about lack of self care.

Ha yes. I do like a scruffy look through! (Which admittedly is easier to carry off when younger rather than in your 40s). I think she is supposed to look like she’s just thrown random clothes on and doesn’t care too much about her appearance.

I’ve just watched them all and loved it! Lots of laugh out loud moments. The last episode was particularly amazing. It seemed to be tying up the loose ends and felt very much like the last ever episode to me, I can’t see where else they can go with it as the children are growing up and they’re all happy, except Amanda. Maybe she needs a spin off show! I’m sad if that is it though.

I hope it's not the end! Haven't they got younger children than yr6 though? I think there's scope for them as Secondary parents, though.

@Maireas I think Julia looks so badly dressed! Awful clothes (which I think is the point!) but I don’t think she looks great. Those horrible blue shoe boot things she wore in the earlier series were a particularly low point

Just watched the last episode. I think Julia is meant to look thrown together, but she actually does still look good. It’s a hot mess kinda look rather than just Amanda hot. (I prefer Julia’s style though).

Fav character is always Liz, I think I’m most like her out of them all.

Def some hilarious moments in the series and really hoping there’s a Christmas special. I loved when Anne made the drink for Kevin and put all three in the same cup

100% think the series could go on, they don’t need to physically stand at the school gates together but could still go to the cafe/ round houses/ nights out and we could have teenager issues (lifts, boyfriends, mates round the house etc)

Just finished watching this and loved it. Anne was completely different character to the first series though wasn’t she? She was much more bubbly this time.

I discovered this tv show in the last couple of weeks so pretty much binged all three series

I agree Julie looks scruffy and hot stylish or well dressed at all. Amanda seems better put together but obviously comes across as a bit superficial and self centred. Sonia as a TA was quite funny.

I'm tempted to watch it all again from the beginning because I wasn't watching it all properly from the start (doing other things, on Mumsnet...) and I don't think I did it justice but it was really good.

I can't find the Christmas episode anywhere 😭 I only found Motherland this week and have finished them all, I really need that Christmas episode

I had no idea it was Jackie Clune either and I immediately thought about that doc with her triplets. I’d just had DS1 and as hard as it was I did feel better watching it and thinking at least I don’t have three!!
Loved this series of Motherland funny, subtle clever and moving. I was channeling J

Oops! I was trying to say I was channeling Julia when I got up this morning..huge sweatshirt, hair in a weird bobble, complaining about messy kitchen 😆

The Christmas one isn't that wonderful , but has a nice ending !

Yeah I didn’t really rate the Christmas episode but mainly because they released all the good parts in the trailer and didn’t keep much back.
It was okay, I’d still rewatch it!

I find trailers for nearly every show releases all the best bits in the trailers, so annoying they did it for this series of Motherland too. Still a good series though and still some unseen funny parts. Amanda’s TikTok dance was so her! Def something she’d do but actually put loads of effort into it and thinks she’s really good

I’ve been rewatching it from the start and love it even more the second time around.

I watched the pilot today. The characters are nicely drawn from the get go and Kevin had a beard then which looked good.
Liz with her frozen cheese was funny.

Watching from series 1 onwards with series 3 fresh in my mind I think Kevin and amanda were always going to happen. It's like the comedy version of line of duty. Watch it again for the clues!

It was brilliant story line getting Amanda and Kevin together. I didn’t see it coming at all
