18 years, could have been longer but he won't fare well inside

purpleme12 · 22/03/2021 22:03

I'm glad he got sent down

CovidCorvid · 22/03/2021 22:06

Those girls were so brave. But I'm so cross that a video one of them made of her twerking could possibly still be viewed as undermining a case. This needs to stop!

Sidge · 22/03/2021 22:11

Wow. I’m actually pleased at his sentence. What an utterly repellent man. He brings nothing of any good to this world.

I feel so sorry for his “wife” and kids. Hopefully they’ll manage to keep away from him.

viques · 22/03/2021 23:03

What an arrogant foul little scrote , and what a brilliant result. So pleased the bravery of the two girls was recognised in court.

Yes it's illogical apart from anything else
SakuraEdenSwan1 · 23/03/2021 01:30

18 years! What a sentence, he thought he was untouchable.

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 05:16

I'm glad he got the sentence he did.
What an awful man. How could they prove it was rape though? I believe it was isn't it one word against the other?

I was interrupted several times watching it, but I assumed they had his DNA from rape kits taken from the girls after the attacks. One of the policewoman alluded to it in the interview. Also, the two girls didn't know one another, but described the baby blue caravan chalet in detail and corroborated one anothers accounts.

It's rare that you see a criminal on these programmes with absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever but blimey that perpetrator was one of them. Dead eyes indeed. Profoundly stupid, without a shred of a conscience, a one man menace to society in a very real sense. Bravo to the police for banging him up and getting him off the streets. I pity the prison governor and staff who have to deal with him though.

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 07:00

He said he had sex with them so they could have gone to his caravan and had consensual sex. I just wondered how they determined it was rape that's all. He was awful. His face didn't look right either.

purpleme12 · 23/03/2021 07:01

I thought it was because theyv found evidence he knew one was 15? So they could get him for that?

RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 07:05

He probably knows lots of people inside. I doubt being in prison is much of a deterrent. However 18 years is a whole different story. Plus hopefully once the others know the reason he's there things won't be so nice.

Also I'm surprised his father let the police look. I know they could with a warrant but still.

Either he was so arrogant that he knew there would be no evidence / nothing they could prove.

Thought his son was 100% innocent
Or wanted him inside.

Yes they had dna but he said it was consensual. So the conviction comes down to who’s more believable.....2 unconnected witnesses with similar stories or him? Plus they knew he’d lied about not knowing the 15yo age, it was in his texts that he knew she was underage and he’d lied to her about his age.
RevolvingPivot · 23/03/2021 07:23

@CovidCorvid Ah yes thank you.

I was just thinking if we didn't see the guys background and say he was middle class would we have automatically assumed he was guilty. Even with the texts. I know they know what they're doing though 😂

CovidCorvid · 23/03/2021 09:04

Sadly if they had been viewed as less reliable witnesses, particularly if they had been "promiscuous" in the past they probably wouldn't have been believed.

Deathraystare · 23/03/2021 09:15

Tripped himself up about the phone, didn't he?!
