Whewwwwww 18 years!! Amazing.

Little scumbag

Belledan1 · 23/03/2021 21:14

He was just vile. Said he had kids . Cant be a very good dad if he knocked that poor 8 year old over.

Crazycakelady17 · 23/03/2021 21:20

Such a good sentence in this day and age, those poor girls they were so brave and there accounts so eerily similar he obviously had a MO
Could tell at the beginning he was evil knocking that little girl over and that poor old lady showed no empathy
Hope the other inmates find out what he’s done and now he’s been on tv even when he’s out he won’t have a easy time

Peterpainter · 23/03/2021 21:20

He was absolutely horrible.
Even the thumbnail of him on All4 is just vile.

I was pleasantly shocked by the sentence.

Metalhead · 23/03/2021 21:45

Trouble is, assuming he serves 2/3 of his sentence he’ll still only be 35 when he comes out of prison! Plenty of time to cause more harm to innocent people... and I don’t think a prolific offender like that who’s never known anything but crime will ever change. Angry

Absolutelyscunnered · 23/03/2021 21:54

@CovidCorvid

Those girls were so brave. But I'm so cross that a video one of them made of her twerking could possibly still be viewed as undermining a case. This needs to stop!
This.
SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 24/03/2021 20:01

He tripped himself bonny when he said he was going away for 10/11 years before he even went to court...

I’m glad he was shopped by his own.

And delighted that he was put away. Just not for long enough.

Nasty little man.

TitsInAbsentia · 24/03/2021 21:48

What a piece of scum. He'll likely have had himself taken straight to the protection of the sex offenders wing. He's an utter no-one, and it's really sad that he'll get out by his forties, while those girls will have to struggle on to get over what he did. I hope his ex and children have a far better life now he's off the scene.

SakuraEdenSwan1 · 24/03/2021 22:49

The poor little girl he run over, and the old lady he robbed and knocked to the ground, as well as the rapes. Not many instances when the travelling community work with the Police, I am glad they were disgusted with him as much as we a are.

Fluffmonkey82 · 25/03/2021 00:08

Watched this tonight, the way he kept yawning during the interviews..the old lady that really upset me..glad he has got his comeuppance..hope the girls have a lot of support so brave...

Bloatedandconfused · 25/03/2021 07:15

What a vile scumbag. That piece of s%$t contributes zero to society. He deserves to rot.
I don't think it was just the two girls words against him though. I believe, and I'm happy to be told I'm wrong, that when a person is sexually assaulted that there are other indicators such as bruising and tears. Makes me feel ill writing that. I feel bad for anyone who has had any sort of contact with him.

RevolvingPivot · 25/03/2021 10:57

Hi poor kids. This may be out of turn and may get deleted but he looked inbred. His face didn't look right. Could be drugs / drink?

Peterpainter · 25/03/2021 12:02

He certainly wasn’t a looker that’s for sure

RevolvingPivot · 25/03/2021 12:03

@Peterpainter

He certainly wasn’t a looker that’s for sure
😆😆
ghostfrog · 25/03/2021 12:33

Yes he had a bit of a FAS syndrome look about him. So glad he got put away, I was so worried that he would get away with it. I cried at that video of the old lady, made me so angry.

RevolvingPivot · 25/03/2021 12:37

@ghostfrog Ah I feel bad now

RevolvingPivot · 25/03/2021 12:37

That didn't cross my mind

ghostfrog · 25/03/2021 12:58

Oh I don't know either! I'm just wondering, the way he spoke and acted i wouldn't be surprised if he had learning difficulties. Doesn't make what he did any less abhorrent though.

SheldonesqueIsUnwell · 25/03/2021 13:30

I don’t expect that he will come out of prison an upstanding member of society.

If he is shunned by his own on his release then it is no less than he deserves.

The lack of remorse for the elderly lady and the injured child and his total disregard for his rape victims was shameful.

Sadly I don’t think it is anything to do with any difficulties. I think he is just a disgrace of a human being who has scant regard for anyone but himself.

TheQueef · 25/03/2021 14:19

Just finished this.
18 years Grin I expected some ridiculous sentence, I cheered!
This specimen is an actual oxygen thief.
He will cause chaos and pain wherever he is, there's just no point to him.
Clear from the prison riot he had already been involved in even in jail he will cause problems.
Those poor girls must have been fucking terrified.
Callous twat.

I can absolutely 100% say that isnt true. The overwhelmingly vast majority of victims of rape have NO INJURIES whatsoever. This neither proves nor refutes their allegation. There is also research that shows consensual sex can cause minor abrasions and tears in about half of cases. This is why when a suspect claims it was consensual the physical findings (if any) are irrelevant in the main.
Bloatedandconfused · 25/03/2021 21:53

I did say @grandpacificpineapple that I was happy to be told I was wrong. I never said it was a fact.

I am wondering though what's the point of a rape kit then if the findings are irrelevant? Or are they only useful when the victim doesn't know the person who assaulted them? It just seems like a sh$$$y thing to put a victim through.

AnneElliott · 25/03/2021 21:59

I just watched this on catchup and was pleased at the length of the sentence.

Although I see it referred to on here a lot, a rape kit is an American 'thing'. There is no such thing as a rape kit here. In the UK the victims are offered a holistic forensic assessment. That may or may not include taking of forensic samples and documentation of injuries (not just genital but anywhere in the body). They are offered health care such as emergency contraception and onward referrals for sexual health care and support. Reassuring someone that the absence of injury does not mean anyone thinks they are lying or being able to advise on the presence of injury and what the health implications are can be hugely helpful to victims. Examiners and usually at that stage don't know what the suspect will say. Gathering forensic evidence early keeps all lines of prosecution and defence open. A suspect may say one thing at interview and another in court. A good forensic examination performed well by a skilled, empathetic and highly trained examiner should be an empowering and positive experience. We spend a lot of our time shattering rape myths and stereotypes with all kinds of people including professionals. If I could educate juries I would. Juries often don't understand the medical evidence although it is up to the court to ensure they do.
grandpacificpineapple · 25/03/2021 22:46

That should say examiners and police don't know what suspects might say
