Schitts Creek gets better, right?...

Hi,

So we've only watched the first episode, but so far I'm not feeling it.

The (grown up) children are a bit "try hard" in their comedy, but I'm really hoping it gets better, as everyone else seems to love it and I was really looking forward to it.

Really not getting it and not prepared to waste any more time on it. Watched Series 1 and started Series 2. DH can sit and giggle at it all he wants.

I watched the first 3 episodes and haven't bothered since. I did half smile at the end of episode 3 when they mayor changed the town sign, but I don't get it. Thought it was just me.

I am now half way through series 4 with DD and just starting series 2 with DH! Moira is far and away my favourite, her accent is spec-TAC-ular! The high-pitched screaming when things go wrong! And her clothes. I'm getting a bit fed up with David's gurning and thought the Simply the Best scene was cringy. Love Alexis, Jocelyn, Johnny, Twyla, Ronnie. "I am positivity bedevilled with business meetings, etc" is going to be on my out-of-office emails (that's if lockdown ever ends and I ever get back in to my office so I can be out of it!!)

I really got into in after the first season. I try to recommend it to people but they just dont give up. Parks and Recreation is the same.

Just finished watching it all a second time with my son, he loved it too. Enjoyed it just as much the second time around, always picking up something I'd missed the first time. Favourite episode by far is the finale of season 2 and them all dancing together, sooo heartwarming. Loved all the Roses but also thought Jocelyn was brilliant. Also loved Bob (and his little run everywhere) and Ray. Stevie grew on me big time, her character development was brilliant. Roland was the hardest to love but then he'd do or say something quirky and win me over.

Just watched Ted and Alexis in the last season and am crying...what a beautiful scene...
