Anyone going to watch Michael Hutchence Mystify?

Im really looking forward to it. I was a huge fan back in my teens.

It was Liam who made that lousy comment, it was on the documentary about Oasis last night, he is a total arse with his crap voice and ridiculous walk, can’t stand him. My dad drove Noel quite a few years ago now, and my dad said he was polite and pleasant to speak to, no attitude and that was when Oasis were at their most popular.

I also always thought it was Liam but Twitter was going mad saying it was Noel. I only had half an eye on the telly so I didn't see it properly.

It was Noel who made the comment. Who is the has been now?😁 (I'm not even an INXS fan but can't stand NG.)

I also remember being appalled at Noel making the comment about "has beens shouldn't present fucking awards"
Never really got Michael Hutchence's appeal and I was actually gutted as an 10
year old that he "stole" Kylie away from Jason. Now looking back, Kylie did actually become more confident as a performer post Jason. She's seem really in love with him then.

Don't know about love but Kylie looked like she'd been up all night shagging in those video clips... which she probably was

I would love to have watched this but I'm not in the UK at the moment, I think from what I've read that Bob isn't the Saint we've all be lead to believe and yes, Michael and Paula were toxic. Who ever made the comment on Michaels skin.... No shit Sherlock, he always had bad skin but somehow that just made him more attractive... To me anyway! Such a sexy man. I believe he took his own life, from what I've read he was very depressed due to Bob stopping him/Paula seeing the kids fir Christmas.

I think he'd moved on by the sounds of it and perhaps was wracked with guilt? Who knows but it sounded like he left relationships as things started to get serious.

If for whatever reason the 3 Geldofs couldn't go to him & therefore Paula couldn't/wouldn't-was there something that stopped him travelling to see Paula & their daughter?

I don't think it was all down to Bob either, but it seems MH fans hate him just from reading this thread and blame him for his demise.

Wasn't MH doing a tour at the time, so (imo) it's easy to see why BG didn't want his daughter's going to that.

It was then Paula's decision not to leave them, his decision not to go to her!

There's no way he would've stayed with Paula. She got pregnant but that was to 'snag him' so to speak, thinking it would keep him with her.

I read that MH had a new girlfriend every three years so he was coming to the end of their relationship. They wouldn't have stayed together, even with Tiger, however much she wished it.

I noticed from the timelines all the girlfriends apart from Hekena Christensen lasted 2 years, so yes it does sound like he was afraid of commitment. I dont think things would have lasted with Paula either. They were both into drugs and were very destructive.

I don't think anybody has been led to believe that Geldolf is a saint, Live Aid notwithstanding. He always was quite a surly bastard. But I do think he gets an unnecessarily hard time from the Paula/Michael cheerleaders. And as to their daughter being skint, yes she didn't inherit her father's estate but who knows if Geldolf gives her some financial support or maybe she doesn't want his support.

Actually, I think the other children have had to make their own ways in life and don't get huge handouts from their father.

Really interesting film, I loved him as a teen.
The footage of him and kylie was nice to see, she looked so young, which I suppose she was.

Although he said he loved whichever gf he was with at the time, he seemed to be very focused on him.
I'm not sure Kylie was much more that a plaything until he got bored and moved on.

Slightly off topic but my partner said he saw Bob geldof at Gatwick Airport and he deliberately pushed in front of everyone in a 'don't you know who I am', arrogant kinda way.

I saw the film and thought Michael looked sweet but like he loved himself a lot more than the women he was with. I can't believe he cheated on Paula Yates.

I'm not sure how old she was, 20's though, must be?
