Mavis - the book in my opinion is very witty and enjoyable. I would just download a free ebook to iPad/kindle or buy a cheap copy unless you particularly want them on the front. I also have a spare copy I can post to you (I have three for some bizarre reason).

And I don't give a shit about lusting after real people to be honest. Santiago is not actually real, he is a figment of my imagination that I have created through google and gifs and the roles he has played. It's all fine.

Mavis reading the book is good as in your mind's eye this cast are playing out all the scenes. Which is obviously a bonus.

mavis have you got a kindle? I think it's free on that cos it's old.

I've downloaded a free copy from iBooks. I tend to read it at DS1's martial arts lesson where the adults doing their martial arts adds a certain ambience

Did they know that PC was off to Dr Who before they finished filming? If they did, then it's v. odd that they haven't written him out. And his position in court is surely too prominant to do that lame thing of talking about someone during the episode without them actually appearing on screen (thinking that Brookside thing years ago when they killed someone off and dealt with it by having the characters talk about it. Anna Friel was it? - yes - being Beth Jordache). Surely they wouldn't do that?

Tbh Anne, I don't want them on the cover. I'm still slightly annoyed that I have a Margery Allingham Campion book with Peter Davidson on the cover and I bought that in about 1988 . It just smacks a bit of 'I bought it cos I saw it on the TV even if that's true. If you do wish to off load a copy then I'll pm you?

anne the conclusion I've come to from my extensive research of the Spanish-language press over the last few days (thanks loads for the name check earlier btw, i was touched ) is that santiago really is actually properly lovely. Clearly all those breakfast tv interviews when Luca was hogging the limelight like an overenthusiastic teenager and he looked totally bored, he was actually just thinking "i wish I was in Berlin with wifey."
