She might die though. For some reason I have a vision of Faye Dunaway - is that her name on her knees getting executed. But that could be the flash backs to the first time Athos had her executed.

When does Mazarin come into it. Remember from History A Level ( a fair old time ago) that Richelieu never lost power but started to set up his successor. So if that was going to happen, we'd need Capaldi filming bits with Mazarin to show that. So, maybe another baddie. What about Rochefort? Don't remember the Pertwee character in the book at all, so don't know if he's a major player or not. I do like that photo tho MTM. Nice. very nice. Sadly, his slightly curly bouffyness in the clip doesn't do much for me in this tho. It's a missed opportunity by the wardrobe dept, who should be punished in one of the Cardinal's special prisons...

I'll be a bit pissed off with Richelieu if he kills Milady. I think he really does have feelings for her (most likely just turned on by how he can control her) but it doesn't seem to stop him from disposing of them.

I think Athos will find out about what he did to Adele, Dog about what he did to his dad, Porthos about the slavery thing and Athos discovers the extent of his manipulation of Milady and I think Richelieu is going to get it BIG time. He is fucked. However, I don't think he's the one going in the ground. I still think it's the old boy who helped them out last week.

Oh and..

RL Mazarin was much later but I agree comtesse, baddie could be anyone. The producers haven't set any store on being faithful to the book so they wouldn't worry about messing about with history either.

I agree with whoever said Richelieu will stage a daring escape, but possibly throwing Milady to the Musketeers (she wishes). She'll end up in prison which sets up a plot thread for series two for her getting out of prison.

Am probably very wide of the mark though.

Apparently Treville does die. at some point. Maybe not this series. And has a letter to his successor. to lead the musketeers. But,( something like), it isn't named. But Athos, Porthos and Aramis, all refuse to take the postion, knowing that Trevile wanted it to go to D'artagnan.

Milady will not die. No chance. If they are losing PC - Cardinal, they can't lose Milady aswell. No chance.
