Richelieu is my favourite character, PC does a fantastic job with him.

He still resembles an insect, which us good, emotionless,driven by instinct to survive etc etc.
And I still wouldn't.

Fabulous summary there LetUsPrey. I would add: I really like the bit in Commodities where they do the 'prepare the patient' and Athos punches him. Mostly cos of how he says 'we've learnt from experience' .

Other key scene I really like is the bit where Richelieu does the deal with Ninon for her life and how he refers to the convenient corpse. Superb.

Ooh, and in the challenge I love the bits where they're practising for it, Aramis and the not looking shot, Porthos throwing the other chappie, Athos baiting Dog to improve his swordsmanship (fnar).

I massively apologise. Really liked the whole evil papal envoy bit of ep 7, and when Cardinal sent him back to Rome in a little wooden box. And the sex face obviously. Just that that whole storyline seems to have temporarily attached itself to some other episode in my head.

Sorry. It's just that if aramis isn't in a scene I sometimes drift off a bit.

Episode 1 and Commodities which is 3 I think are my favourites, Commodities is just so funny and Aramis does his whip thing, followed closely by which ever one has Connie and Dog throwing weapons around. Then episode nine and them Aramis and baby.

Love the way this episode (9) is shot. The nun raising the axe on the convent roof reminds me of something but can't remember what.

Also, and sounding really poncy I have liked the sound across the whole series. Peter Capaldi gives good echo!
