So now here we are 9th thread after the 9th episode! Aren't we clever? The Cardinal will be giving us all his lusty lusty eyes to show appreciation but please try not to get too turned on and distracted by it because we have much wenching to do to take us up to the big finale!

Please remember IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO JOIN THE WENCHOOD! If you are a saucy lurker then please feel free to join in our discussions.

WARNING: Sometimes we discuss the plot line!

Ali glad that is realistic then. Obviously historical accuracy was of paramount importance to the producers. thank god it wasn't and they just went for loads of leather instead

MTM dont you think there's any chance of some Capaldi-River Song action in the new DW? I'm sorry but try as I might I just cant fancy him in the Musketeers, though I havent had this problem in any of his previous work.

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 11:51

Im with Drink Hannah. Just make it up and lay it on really thick, that is the only way to get anything useful out of the NHS.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/03/2014 11:51

Make a list of the symptoms and what you want to say to the GP.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/03/2014 11:52

Omg, Capaldi-Doctor and Doctor River Song

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 11:53

Clearly you're not depraved enough Madame, unlike some of us

I would do whatever the Cardinal told me to. Hell, I'd beg him to tell me to do whatever he told me to do....

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 12:00

Ah thanks lasses. I will go stand naked in garden for a bit to see if I can't revive symptoms. Though going by yesterday, I gradually got worse as day went by and ended up in bed at 4 anyway, feeling like throat was going to close up.
Appt after that time today

Not sure if it was stress of natureofcontinuingthreadgate that pushed me over the edge or what though.... Grin

Maybe we should started a volatile discussion..... erm.... Aramis is clearly gay. He doth protest too much for love of ladies?....

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/03/2014 12:01

Oh my, I could really find that very attractive, Capaldi Who and River Song. I love Alex Kingston, she is fabulous - and hot.

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:09

If we're talking historical accuracy Hannah I think boy-on-boy is quite plausible. Weren't they dead liberal in the 17th century?? Especially the aristocracy.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/03/2014 12:15

Not the Europeans in the 17th century I don't think, although the castrati (young men who had their testicles removed so that their voices didn't break and they could have a singing career) were probably sexually abused :( .

It was the Ancient Greeks who believed that male love was intellectually purer and superior to a hetrosexual relationship. Hence all the statues of boys bottoms!

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:25

Alex Kingston + Pete = squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Alex Kingston + Matt Smith = call child protection services

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:32

Thanks for that Ali

But look!!! Three Musketeers book character the Duke of Buckingham was definitely a friend of Dorothy in RL. [WARNING: BOOK SPOILER ALERT]

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Villiers,_1st_Duke_of_Buckingham

So maybe it was not socially done yet actually done all the time??

MrsAthos · 26/03/2014 12:32

I apologise! I didn't not expect to cause quite a storm!

Peace offering!

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:34

Accepted.

You can't deny he does look pretty damn homoerotic.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/03/2014 12:39

What storm? Eh? Who? Where? Why? What? When?Grin

Stinklebell · 26/03/2014 12:42

Twitter storm? We're not about to be outed are we? There's lots of stuff I've posted on here that I wouldn't mind being outed over, my Musketeer obsession isn't one of them Grin

Have just been to investigate MrsAthos on Twitter. DH is having an operation today and I can't concentrate on anything so it was just what the doctor ordered

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/03/2014 12:46

Sorry to hear that, Stinkle! You could ask Athos to administer his way of anaesthetising a patient Grin

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 12:46

Oh dear Stinkers - is he ok? Thanks

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 26/03/2014 12:47

SorryBlush, flippant. Hope it goes well Thanks

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 12:48

We are being very restrained today aren't we

Cos that Anne isn't here stirring up the Aramis lusting frenzy, I reckon Grin and I am being good

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 12:50

Don't worry Drink. I deleted my first 3 attempts. Not because they were deliberately flippant, but because you just never know.

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:50

Don't worry Drink it was just two blokes in a pub. Hi, two blokes in a pub.

Stinkle best wishes for your DH.

MalcolmTuckersMistress · 26/03/2014 12:50

Aaah I loved 11 and River! I think it would be a terrible shame if she didn't get to snog 12, but I have a funny feeling 12 will definitely NOT be the snogging type. It's going to be back to the good old days with this one, which excites me greatly.

Althooooough having said that, have you noticed at all that 12 wears a ring on his wedding finger? Dunno of it's going to just be a thing he does and PC's preferrence for keeping his own wedding ring on OR if it's part of a bigger story!

OP posts:
Stinklebell · 26/03/2014 12:53

Thanks. The actual op isn't particularly big, what happens next is the worrying bit. It's all happened really fast. I'm sure he'll be fine

DD's school is closed today so I'm stuck here waiting for a call and I can't settle at anything. Obsessively clicking on Athos links instead

MadamedeChevreuse · 26/03/2014 12:54

Malc I noticed that he usually wore his wedding ring in The Thick of It. When his character was clearly a divorcee on antidepressants. I think it's cos he loves his wife so much, awwwww.

HannahHorvath · 26/03/2014 12:54

There was a fair bit of homoerotic in DaVinci's Demons iirc.

Not a sniff of it in The Musketeers though. They like their bodies with lady lumps and innies. Not hairy chests and outies.
