Do you think that next week dog is trying to stop Athos from killing Milady so that he won't get arrested and executed for murdering her? Am I clutching at straws? Has someone already suggested this?

I think that Milady spins a whole yarn to D'Art about her horrible husband, and so when he finds out that that is Athos (not knowing the truth of what actually happened and how fucked up she is) he loses it and tries to kill Athos.
In the book it is somehow mixed up with Constance being in prison, but I can't see how they can get it all into an hour's episode.
