This is not for a specific event, just a dress in general. My daughter doesn't wear dresses usually, so I was surprised when she bought it. I don't mind her wearing a dress, but I still wanted to ask for opinions.😁

It’s not inappropriate (in my eyes at least!) but I definitely wouldn’t choose it for a 15 year old.

Normally at that age it’s mini dresses all the way

GettingFestiveNow · 31/12/2024 21:01

Unless there's something outrageous happening at the back it's fine.

Whoyoutakingto · 31/12/2024 21:01

We live in a world where we should all be able to wear exactly what we like when we like. I would be happy for my DD to wear it depending on where and who is there. A friend went to a wedding evening party with their tall, beautiful 13 year old and said she had to guard her DD as she kept getting unwanted attention from much older males, possibly as the blokes were drinking but they seemed indifferent to her age!

TheLadyIsAVamp · 31/12/2024 21:04

Yes I think it's fine

Ayechinnyreckon · 31/12/2024 21:19

I think it's fine.

My 15 yo niece would wear similar.

It's got more coverage than most fashionable clothes for 15yo!

Plus I had a really similar one at the same age

My beautiful DD was a bridesmaid at 14 and her dad and I took her home early because of the behaviour of the best man and groomsmen...
Shocking behaviour..
She still says she ignores them if she ever sees them (small town) .

LunchtimeNaps · 31/12/2024 21:30

I'd let my 15 year old wear it.

ueberlin2030 · 31/12/2024 21:31

I don't think anything from Shein constitutes the term suitable tbh.

itsmylife7 · 31/12/2024 21:40

It's very sophisticated for a 15 year old.
She's got good taste.

slightlydistrac · 31/12/2024 21:41

Anyone able to post a screenshot - I can't open the link.

AutoP1lot · 31/12/2024 21:44

Well I wouldn't be buying anything from Shein but it's quite a nice dress and similar to things I wore from 13/14

Snowmanscarf · 31/12/2024 21:44

That’s absolutely fine, apart from it’s from Schein. Youngsters wear a lot worse and more revealing.

eyestosee · 31/12/2024 21:50

Imagine it as a layering piece. Maybe with a shirt/jacket over it. I had Lycra catsuits in the 90s but I just wore them with a shirt or jumper over.

Echobelly · 31/12/2024 21:53

Looks fine to me, probably being worn with trainers from what I see of teenage girl fashion these days

Purplecatshopaholic · 31/12/2024 22:00

Is it backless or something? Looks totally fine to me …

avocadotofu · 31/12/2024 22:02

Looks totally fine to me.

purplecorkheart · 31/12/2024 22:08

It is ok but I would be wary of the material quality. Just took a quick glance of at the photo and it looked poor quality and could be fairly transparent.

backawayfatty1 · 31/12/2024 22:13

I have a 15yo DD. Would have no issues, lovely dress! Wish I could pull it off 🤣

xxreeldancerxx · 31/12/2024 22:20

Totally fine for that age, don't see any issue with it?

SparkyBlue · 31/12/2024 22:22

Absolutely fine (apart from being from Shein) . I saw my friends DD of a similar age wearing one just like it at a grandparents birthday party recently

User346897543 · 31/12/2024 22:24

Totally fine, it would have been up to my arse cheeks when I was that age

Awrite · 31/12/2024 22:26

My dd would have worn something like that at 15. Not from Shein mind, she has ethical objections.

polpolpolpol · 31/12/2024 22:27

It's cheap shite from shein so probably see through and badly fitted.

Ihatelittlefriendsusan · 31/12/2024 22:29

There are pictures from other people who have bout it in the reviews, looks like a standard strappy t shirt dress. Not sure I can see what is inappropriate if I am honest

What is your concern about it @elaineesmith333

CombatBarbie · 31/12/2024 22:30

My daughter (17) has this dress, it's lovely on.
