Sainsbury’s jeans 😲

My mate was wearing a lovely pair of barrel leg jeans so I asked her where she got them. Sainsbury’s, she says, £22. So I went and got some for myself. First day out in them today and another woman asked where I got them, said they looked really nice on. And I wore them all day and they’re the same size now as when I put them on (marginally more relaxed but they haven’t grown a couple of sizes like jeans sometimes do).

Very impressed. When did this happen to Sainsbury’s? Are there other gems in the Tu department that I should look out for??

Bit boring but I bought a rubberised rain coat from Tu. Think it was linked to on here actually! It's amazing, cost about 20 quid and looks and feels loads more expensive. It's also the most waterproof coat I've ever owned!

I got my lovely pointy shiny red ballerina flats from Sainsbury’s Tu recently. They made me so happy. I often find absolute gems from both Sainsbury’s Tu and Asda George. Never discount them.

I bought the velvet wide leg trouser suit over Christmas and the faux sheepskin football commentator style jacket in the sale! Oh and a leopard maxi dress in November.....loving Tu at the moment.
What jeans were they, can you link to them online? True to size?

I might have a look here as I've been after some similar jeans (haven't worn jeans since having my DS 7 years ago 🤣)

I got the gingham white & green dress last year that's very "Nobody's Child" like and I've had about 5 women on separate occasions tell me it looks gorgeous and where was it from 🥺🥳 went back for the darker pink colour too..

Just wish the boys' clothing was a bit more decent and trendy

I too got the rain coat @Twinstudy, it's amazing.

Beautiful satin skirt before Christmas too, far nicer than my one from Mint Velvet and 1/4 the price in the 25% off deal.

I have the same jeans and also always get lovely comments when wearing them.
I love how they are wide legged but not flappy ankled!

TU is the best supermarket range in my opinion!! I have some really lovely items that I’ve been complimented on loads that all came from there 😊

I also like the mid blue wash 🤔 and yes I think true to size.

I used to get lots there when dd was a baby as it was the only place I could go shopping. I don’t remember being so delighted with anything back then though.

@Twinstudy I have that raincoat (it might even have been me that linked it!) it's the best rain coat I've ever had!

I had the very same! Went to treat myself to £200 pair and the professional said, why change what you're wearing. I said they're Sainsbury's! She said well they look better than these £200 ones!

@AlertCat I have these barrel jeans too and have had loads of compliments

I always use them for the kids shoes and they last way longer then other supermarkets equivalent.

I run a lot, and the running leggings I bought from Tu years ago have lasted better than my pricey Sweaty Betty ones.

I am very short and find Sainsburys short skinny jeans are the only ones that fit me length wise.

And I am tall, not hugely so (5'7" ) and most of their jeans and trousers are too short on me

It's a shame because I have bought several good quality pieces from Sainsbury's over the years.

Don’t they just make your look larger? They make that model look larger imho. Not a fan of this style, sorry OP.

Thanks, but I’m happy with them. They balance my top-heavy shape. Besides which, the thread isn’t so much about the style as the fact that Sainsbury’s are making fantastic clothes (I just wish they hadn’t closed their changing rooms).

i agree, so very annoying that they have closed their changing rooms!
i guess there was theft
and they would need staff on hand
and after covid it was easier for them

If they've still got changing rooms ask a member of staff if you can use it. My Sainsburys lock the changing room but will open up if you ask. They don't just want it open because of like you say shop lifting.

Tesco on the other hand don't have changing rooms anymore and it's for that reason I don't buy clothes from them.

Agree with PP about their sports stuff too. I bought two long sleeved tops there about ten years ago and they still look brand new despite weekly wearing and washing. I’ve just scoured vinted to get more of them.

I’ve got a couple of pairs of their straight leg jeans and they’re fantastic! Very cheap, fit and last well.

i’m with you on the lack of changing rooms in supermarket’s clothes depts since Covid. It puts me off buying in store so that rules Tesco out. With Sainsbury I tend to order online to pick up at our Sainsbury Local shop which I pass on my way to work.
