Thanks @faustina . Is your T-shirt a Toast one, it’s such a summery colour.

Thank you @lordloveadog .

@Stoic123thank you, thats a lovely dress too, are you near a shop so you could at least have a wee try on?

@AvaGardens definitely a keeper. I need another dress like a second head but I love summer clothes most of all. Just 🤞🏼for good weather.

Thank you @sonjadog .

@Poplinskirt thank you , fingers crossed . At least I have a holiday coming up.

@QueenJaineApproximately thank you

@mizu are you not in the uk. It’s on the uk website. Lovely dress .

@Theteapotsbrokenspout yes very pleased with the length

Thanks @neveradullmoment99 .Arms might not bear close scrutiny these days. It’s cut exactly like the crinkle pinafore in my opinion round the bust. I measured it as I was curious 🙄 and to me it seemed to measure 2-3 cm more than they said online for the size. All this measuring is such a pain, especially as they don’t seem to have 2 garments the same size.

Thanks again to all , overwhelmed by the positive comments.

I am now sitting on my hands until the end of summer sale . I have my eye on the other blue dress with the gathered neck and waist.

Count, does that mean it’s relatively generous on the bust? I haven’t tried the crinkle. Thanks!

AFingerofFudge · 08/05/2024 10:44

@Countmeout that dress is absolutely fabulous on you!!

mizu · 08/05/2024 21:39

@Countmeout i think it becomes available tomorrow. Says 9th May on the website, wondering if they will have in store in Oxford as I am planning to visit on Sunday.

AvaGardens · 09/05/2024 03:45

@EasterIssland Hi, I was just back tracking to check sizing advice and spotted your comment. Unfortunately discounts are extremely rare, even the refer a friend ones! My sister is in Germany and she also mentioned that there is an EU 10% discount at present for subscribing to Toast's email list.
However, on the plus side, sales are fairly frequent and heavily discounted.

Useful for wishlists!

AvaGardens · 09/05/2024 04:09

If anyone's interested Sideline has a 10% discount this week for joining their mailing list too.

Uniqlo t shirts are great @faustina . I tend not to order as I struggle with their sizing and something on the back of my mind tells me the returns were a faff.

Thanks @AFingerofFudge .

Gosh I don’t know @lordloveadog . I am beginning to doubt my judgment. The crinkle pinafore is not generous in terms of Toast old sizing but I think I meant the dress is similar so it’s not old Toast sizing but not as bad as I feared.

Late to the party, but thanks for the new thread @Countmeout, and also thought that dress lovely on you.

ironingboredagain · 09/05/2024 13:18

I have a memory of there being a very short sale at the end of May last year. I didn't buy anything so have no record of it on my account. Does anyone else remember if it happened?

mizu · 09/05/2024 13:59

TOAST reworn got lots more in.

Just bought the lilac linen sundress with the square elasticated back. Already have one in orange so hopefully it'll fit the same!

13th June I bought reduced things.

I ordered two shirts which arrived today and both are keepers. First things I have tried and liked in a while. The asawa check linen shirt will look great as a shirt and a light jacket. The stripe drawstring waist shirt is light and wafty and will go with lots. Very pleased.

faustina · 09/05/2024 15:33

@Countmeout - the faff about the sizing is that they charge you for it! I took a gamble on the tee because it was such a beautiful colour. I didn't want it fitted so went for a medium and it's perfect. I think a small would have worked equally well though

@ScottishMouse - oh good! I know you've not found anything for ages!

Does anyone have the Tretorn little boots? I just bought some in the Reworn and I remember someone saying the sizing is odd in one way or another. They're a 39 which is my size, but wondering if they will work or be too big?

ScottishMouse · 09/05/2024 16:12

@faustina, I have the Tretorn boots. They run big. I am a 5 and a half and have the 38 and I can wear them with a couple of pairs of socks in winter. Hopefully the 39 will work for you. They are great boots.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 09/05/2024 16:32

Great you’ve found a couple of pieces you like @ScottishMouse .

I’ve had the asawa shirt on my wish list for ages, I did think it might be a bit dark for summer, but I’m tempted again now you’ve said how versatile it is. What size did you go for ? I’m always wary of the dreaded gaping across the bust.

faustina · 09/05/2024 16:38

@ScottishMouse - thank you! Sounds like they may not work, but worth a shot for the price. I've already made one boot mistake this year so don't want to spend a lot

FitzLea · 09/05/2024 16:38

@ScottishMouse I really like the look of that tie shirt, and love the way it’s styled in the look book with the shorts and gown over…would it be acceptable to wear a gown out the house like that? 🤔

@faustina those Uniqlo linen tees look great and quite tempted by the off white. Some reviews comment about them being see through and I’m wondering if it would be the case with the lighter colours (unlike that lovely one blue you have). Also, I have the tretorn boots and I had to size down, but I do only wear them with cotton (and not thick woolly) socks.

faustina · 09/05/2024 16:44

@FitzLea - thanks for the boot info. I will have to cross my fingers until they get here! About the tees - I guess the lighter colours will be the ones most likely to be see through, but I am very impressed with the blue. I often buy black linen tees from Cos and they're much more transparent. Uniqlo are quite good if something is sheer - they will say on the description. Maybe have a look?

I ordered the garment dyed trousers and just by luck a Nasturtium print shirt came back into stock
The luck of the early riser !
I do so miss the early morning John Lewis raids.
Some super bargains there
I also ordered the Aurora dress in a medium in the Reworn section, my first experience with this, so fingers crossed.

Stoic123 · 09/05/2024 17:07

Dipped into the Reworn section earlier today and picked up a couple of summer dresses to try. A tangerine linen and a grey woven ikat one. Totally surplus to requirements but couldn't resist.

ScottishMouse · 09/05/2024 17:07

@Theteapotsbrokenspout it is quite oversized. I ordered a small, and now wondering if I should try the xs. I would try it for sure if I was only going to wear it as a shirt, but the s will work over layers. I am a busty 12 on top for reference. No gaping at all. I would say size down at least one size, maybe two depending on how you want to wear it.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 09/05/2024 18:58

Thank you @ScottishMouse Toast are recommending the S for me so I’ll probably go with that. I’m a busty 12 as well and with narrow shoulders, so shirt sizing can be a bit of a nightmare.

Poplinskirt · 09/05/2024 19:01

No idea how I quoted @faustina post there!

ScottishMouse · 09/05/2024 19:49

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I’m thinking I would like to try the xs as the s is quite big. Not too big but maybe the smaller size would give a different look. I might get a chance to go to the Edinburgh store over the weekend, if I manage to try I’ll let you know.
