My two dresses are supposed to be arriving ‘by 7.30pm today’. I fully expect to have a message at 7.15 saying they’re delayed!

I am a little bit surprised that Toast haven’t bothered adding new items to the sale. It feels like a bit of a half-hearted effort compared with last November’s pre-Christmas offering.

Well my one and only purchase from the sale (easy pleat trousers) is going straight back - they are too wide for my liking. Starting to think about the post Christmas sale instead!!!

I have made only one purchase in the sale 😇 as I am trying to save my money for the "real" sale before Christmas. I bought a navy garment dyed linen shirt which will be great for work - although I realise most of trousers are navy so I might have to broaden my wardrobe to accommodate this 😅

I'm sorry I missed the Alix @faustina . Good to get info on the sizing in case some pop up in the next sale.

My linen sun dress is nice- a good shape and the colour suits me. Quite thin material but it will be useful on holiday. Not sure if it's £90 useful though.

Two more linen dresses on their way and, as I don't need all three, final decision is on hold.

I posted on last thread about my neat denim dress. £195 doesn’t seem too bad when you compare to £220 they are asking for a renewed workwear denim dress I’ve just seen on website. I bought that dress in the sale, can’t remember how much I paid but probably around £100. I never wore it and later sold for £70.

My top tip for anyone selling their used stuff, stick a sashiko patch on it and you might treble the price 🤣

Has anyone got their Maeve dress yet? It’s the one I didn’t get from Vinted because it was a scam and I had hoped to take on holiday . I’m interested to find out if it’s light enough for holiday.

Bizarrely, the parcel that was due by 7.30pm is the one that arrived at 1pm today.

The one that hasn’t arrived was due by 3pm. It seems to have got stuck at a sorting office - not our local one - so a bit odd. I expect it will be tomorrow now, assuming it comes at all.

I think I'm going to keep the clogs (though will try on again tomorrow first) and then send everything else back. The green Alixes are lovely but I'm not sure green is versatile enough for me. Then I will have more opportunity for convincing myself I need something from the post Christmas sale!

Thanks for the new thread @Countmeout . I haven’t bought anything in the sale but I’m really enjoying wearing my Cord trousers and Boston clogs. I think I do much better when I buy at full price, less panic buying in case things sell out, although I’m still looking forward to the Christmas sale, I just need to be a bit more choosy.

@MsDastardley @Theteapotsbrokenspout so true that full price items usually give more pleasure and value in the long term
I know that buying a few well coordinated pieces from each collection offers a more balanced wardrobe without all those. sale items that are hopelessly out of sync. So why am I already looking forward to the next sale ?
