Thanks so much for looking @faustina I really appreciate it.

I like the Uniqlo coat - thanks for thinking of me. Unfortunately, it’s rather similar to one I already have, (although nicer), so I think it’s out. I will remember to look in Uniqlo though. I really want one with a warm furry drawstring hood as I am really missing mine - I know it’s ridiculous but I keep getting pangs of sadness - like yesterday when I was going back to work and looking for it before I remembered 😿.

No news on the delivery front re: my second orders! Toast seem much slower than usual- I wonder if they have reduced their workforce or if there are other factors in play.

OftenOrange · 05/01/2024 18:41

@Saurus72 Adding my praise for the Greta dress on you . I love accents of yellow, so illuminating and uplifting .
It’s interesting that some thought it more of a cold season dress, I’d see it looking great all year.
A(nother) Toast friend wore the Bryn Raddichio dress, which Id previously have thought as cool weather, for dinner in our town in Southern France mid August 40 degrees, it looked perfect .

QueenJaineApproximately · 05/01/2024 18:44

It’s a lovely dress @Saurus72 and it really suits you. I always think that’s such a versatile and flattering length .

OftenOrange · 05/01/2024 18:47

Just ordered the tie neck ecru linen silk shirt which I tried when I bought the alpaca waistcoat in October .I’d been holding out for a price drop and when it became OOS I was crestfallen.
Also threw in the blue stripey dress I mentioned a friend has back thread.
Copying is so uncool and infradig so I need to be sure not to wear in her company .
Haven’t copied her style before , we’re very different shapes and colouring , but feeling a bit sheepish

Snowyowl78 · 05/01/2024 20:18

@OftenOrange had to look up the word infradig! I wouldn’t feel bad, unless you’re inseparable? Also you’re a dedicated toastie so who knows if you already had your eye on it?

No1Mousie · 05/01/2024 21:41

@Noodle421 it me, was the other Mousie 🤣.

Thanks, I wasn’t particularly clear, but that was helpful!

I tend to walk out of that type of shoe if the heel is too wide and doesn’t hold my foot in place. so good to know that the leather might stretch.

Noodle421 · 05/01/2024 22:01

Hi @No1Mousie apologies for the Mousie muddle ! I’m quite impressed with the way the shoe holds my heel in place so far. There is a tiny bit of give, but only tiny and anyway all leather softens and stretches a bit. I’m fairly confident these will be fine - I’d be returning them if I wasn’t ok with them. I’m a UK 6 and the 39 is perfect.

No1Mousie · 05/01/2024 22:38

@Noodle421 no worries!

It’s completely a first world problem, but I spent such a lot of time during COVID in wellies and Birkenstocks now gently sobbing none of my lovely pre-COVID shoes fit me any more. I think I might take the plunge.

Noodle421 · 05/01/2024 23:17

@No1Mousie Oh No ! What happened to your feet after prolonged welly and birkie wear ? Did they change shape ?
You can always return the loafers, a pain but worth a try perhaps - I think they are good value at the reduced amount but I don’t want to pressurise you unduly, I’m just very pleased with mine.

It was odd! I think wearing unstructured boots and shoes meant my feet had room to broaden out, but I went up
a size too 😳.

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 06/01/2024 10:19

Crinkle jumpsuit arrived today, I'm frightened to unwrap it as I'll never get it back the same if I need to return.

faustina · 06/01/2024 10:22

@Theteapotsbrokenspout - that does look daunting! Would love to see a pic once it turns into a jumpsuit?

Theteapotsbrokenspout · 06/01/2024 10:48

@faustina I think we might be on a new thread before I feel brave enough 😁.

Noodle421 · 06/01/2024 11:03

@Theteapotsbrokenspout I wouldn’t worry, I bought the dress version which I returned. It arrived as a dress and not tied up in the bundle as shown. It was so lacking in crinkles in some areas that I suspect someone before me had attempted to steam or iron it. Toast won’t expect you to return it in that exact shape.

Noeggsontoast · 06/01/2024 11:07

The burgundy wool cashmere wrap scarf arrived this morning. The colour is so much nicer in real life and looks fab with my navy coat and greta dress. I have an ochre one on the way too. It's a lovely scarf.

Countmeout · 06/01/2024 12:12

Look forward to seeing the jump suit unwrapped @Theteapotsbrokenspout .

Isnt the burgundy scarf lovely with navy @Noeggsontoast .

Another thing to watch for with returns. I bought a small accessory. It arrived and I knew the weight did not correspond with with package. I’ve just returned via the PO and indeed it weighs 200g lighter than Toast label.

I got a Lydia dress today, finally identified the correct size! It is large. It’s much smaller than the v neck version! Is lovely so comfy, incredibly long but I think I’ll keep the length

Countmeout · 06/01/2024 14:19

I got my Lydia shortened @Snowyowl78 but I am smallish. It was just too long.

I absolutely love this but it's far too tight on the bust. I bought my recommended S but I need a M. Currently oos but as it's a bit marmite I suspect there may be further returns.
