Is anyone else obsessed with Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram?

I literally love her so much. She is so talented and every single look she does is just so beautiful!

Her tips are also amazing and have completely changed my make up game (eg. Eyeliner for hooded eyes, using smaller brushes for applying face makeup, cleaning up mistakes, using colour further up on the lid so that it doesn't disappear when you open your eyes, although I still can't do her brows!), I love her use of texture, the way she uses brushes in different ways, I purchased the awesome Weleda Skin Food because of her (as well as several other products). And her look is just such a refreshing change to the 'matte, cut crease, false lashes at all times' look that is still quite popular on social media.

Plus I love the new 'Katie Jane Hughes Academy' thing she is doing now where people copy her look and she will show them and tag them etc.

I am desperate for her new Spectrum brush set but don't think I will be able to justify 160 quid on it!

And plus, she just seems like a really cool person!

I promise I'm not her Mum or anything 😂 I was just wondering if anyone else loves her as much as I do?

Just had a look at her on Instagram, sorry but I don't like her look- neither the super bright eye colours, nor the overly shiny face.

I am slightly confused by the not my taste though when she literally has every single makeup look you could ever do on her Instagram. I prefer the matte looks and the liner ones to colour but it's definitely varied enough for everyone to find something

Never heard of her .. just looked and she looks a bit weird to me .. shiny and all her colours look weird .. each to their own though ..

This is a sign I am old. She is very lovely but that all looks awful to me - am sure that is a comment on my lack of modernity

Just had a look - it’s very easy to be an eyeshadow expert when you don’t have hooded eyes or a low brow.

@Arboria she does have hooded eyes, ok not to an extreme. That's why she does eyeliner tutorials on them to show how to do the folded bit
Mine are similar, I have some lid but there is a definite hood
Literally all of her liner videos are how to work with a hooded eye (and v helpful!)

Just had a look, good god no, not my cup of tea.

She comes across as very down to Earth, very approachable via DM and very talented. Her eyeliner techniques are a game changer for different eye shapes and she's all about making your skin look as good as it can, pores and all.

I think she looks the same in most of her looks and very shiny. She reminds me of the Pixiwoo sisters and their looks.

Definitely not her - was just wondering if any other MNetters like her stuff! Yes, she does take the shiny look quite far in some photos, but I much prefer a more 'glowy' look to very matte look which I feel can look very cakey and overdone. But that's just personal preference I guess, I used to do a lot of matte as well.

She does have slightly hooded eyes, hence how she can demonstrate the hooded eye eyeliner trick.

I follow Katie. Have gotten some good skincare tips from her instagram (am dry and aim for a bit of her shininess 😆).

She seems like a nice person and her natural curly hair is my biggest envy.

That said, I don't like her makeup style. I suspect her eyebrows would look so odd in real life, they're literally just pen flicks. Her eyeshadow placement is weird. She wears so much bronzer/blusher her cheeks always look muddy. And she has a penchant for beef lips (beige nude lip colours).

Plus her acquired American accent really grates on me.

Not actually sure why I follow her now that I think about it 🤔😂
