Is anyone else obsessed with Katie Jane Hughes on Instagram?

I literally love her so much. She is so talented and every single look she does is just so beautiful!

Her tips are also amazing and have completely changed my make up game (eg. Eyeliner for hooded eyes, using smaller brushes for applying face makeup, cleaning up mistakes, using colour further up on the lid so that it doesn't disappear when you open your eyes, although I still can't do her brows!), I love her use of texture, the way she uses brushes in different ways, I purchased the awesome Weleda Skin Food because of her (as well as several other products). And her look is just such a refreshing change to the 'matte, cut crease, false lashes at all times' look that is still quite popular on social media.

Plus I love the new 'Katie Jane Hughes Academy' thing she is doing now where people copy her look and she will show them and tag them etc.

I am desperate for her new Spectrum brush set but don't think I will be able to justify 160 quid on it!

And plus, she just seems like a really cool person!

I promise I'm not her Mum or anything 😂 I was just wondering if anyone else loves her as much as I do?

I used to follow her a long time ago but her looks are just too weird for me. Plus, there's something about her now that completely puts me off watching her & the Chapman sisters too. I find the tweaking of their faces really odd. Up to them if they want to do it, and I'm sure they don't give a monkeys about what I think. But, I find it aesthetically unappealing and it makes me cringe.

I like her use of colour and creativity. I don’t like the cheek filler, off placement so low on the face. Wish I didn’t find it so hard to see pass the bar cheek filler

I'd never heard of her but just had a look and I quite like the look of her page. She's similar colouring and eye shape to me so I would probably find the tips useful

I like the fact thst she doesn't seem filtered and you can see her pores. I love Bailey S but she wears so much on her face its ridiculous.

What? No I haven't? I have taken issue with people saying its an ad with absolutely zero evidence but that's it.

I have offered my own opinions and replied to some people's criticism with a counter on why I disagree but I haven't been rude to anyone?

People are free not to like her look, I am free to say that I like it and why I like it.

Never heard of her prior to this, but I love the fact that you can see her natural skin texture, fine lines etc and that her eyelashes look normal. But she’s way too “glowy”. I’m usually a fan of dewy skin, but she just looks ridiculous!
Lisa Eldridge does similar looks without the oil slick and weird alien like brows.

I also think she’s great. A positive, fun person who has posted throughout the last 12 months giving lots of helpful advice, different looks and whilst some looks are quite out there, I like that she generally doesn’t look fake.

Apologies if I was rude to you, that was not my intention - I was just wondering about these 'rules' that women are given about makeup.

You are right though that I may have over done it on the emojis, reading back on my posts!

I like KJH. I'm not into all her looks but she's creative with her makeup, and she's not not on Instagram trying to flog things to you.

Me - I'm a fan! I don't like all of the weird brightly coloured eyes but I appreciate her dewy look, her tips and the fact that she's not over edited.

She also seems pretty down to earth, albeit the accent is annoying.

Anyway, to prove my fangirl status, I'll just say that I spent a fair chunk of my time trying to work out why she was back in the UK for an extended period recently. This made absolutely no difference to my life, but I just had to know. Anyway, I didn't actually get very far, realised I was verging on stalkery behaviour and got back to swooning over her makeup. 😂

I don't know why she was in England for such a long time last summer - I guess she doesn't have much 'real life' work, and with Covid maybe thought she couldn't just fly home quickly to see her family when she wanted to, so had an extended stay? I loved her 'home' content with her mum and everything, pretty different to her glam NY life!

I hadn't even noticed the cheek fillers, I kind of always thought she had quite prominent cheekbones but it didn't really register that it might be filler. She has talked about having botox before and presumably gets some lip filler as well. She's gorgeous though!
