Does anyone who what the returns policy is for sale items? I really should send some of them back, the sizing is all over the place.

Fortherosesjoni70 · 14/01/2021 18:49

I think its only 14 days.

Fortherosesjoni70 · 14/01/2021 18:51

The sale is really poor.

AuldFox · 14/01/2021 18:53

Oh dear. That ship has sailed...

@faustina

.. and some things added to JL from the summer. I've ordered this jumper textured stripe jumper. Does anyone have it?
Well I do now! Grin Plus I ordered the Indigo Denim V neck dress . I hope I like the jumper , Im fond of wool and cotton .
Templetree · 14/01/2021 19:03

I also kept the garment dyed linen dress in a small from the Toast sale
Plenty big enough as a size 12.
A lovely summer dress-anything with buttons and pockets does it for me.
I sent the medium back and have been refunded already.

Countmeout · 14/01/2021 20:02

I’ve caved and bought another pair of Vejas.
My Poetry purchase was a disaster but impressive with quick refund which I spent on eBay purchase that’s I’m verrrry pleased with.
Love that dress @Saurus72 .

ToastCosILoveIt · 14/01/2021 20:11

@countmeout, thank you for the tip on the sizing of the sateen dress. I was being seduced by the £48 price tag but when I really thought about it I realised I didn't really want it.

Re the Kitri order, you were all right, the fabric and even the cut on one of them just wasn't up to it and they are both going back.

I bought that in the summer sale, have worn it loads. It’s quite big though, even at one size down.
ilovecherries · 14/01/2021 21:20

I’m wearing a small, size 12, 5’7

@ilovecherries - thank you so much - how useful this thread is!
It looks lovely but much longer than I thought - I also ordered a small but am shorter than you - and now of course it's sold out again ...

Their sizing is all over the place!

Numbat26 · 14/01/2021 22:08

Hi all. I have been lurking and enjoying with my morning coffee for a while!
Have to say, on the terrible sizing, I just use their fit algorithm thing and it has 100% worked for me. I am in Australia and returns are $$$ (if quick) so it is mega helpful! I am quite curvy and prob not at all who they design for but no disasters so far :)
Sale has been totally uninspiring though.
And I do think they could do with some diversity of all sorts in their models - so many lesser brands are doing this now. Would be especially nice to see how the clothes look on different body types!

Templetree · 14/01/2021 22:28

Thank you for showing that -looks lovely on you.
Saurus72 · 14/01/2021 22:54

@Numbat26 Hi! that’s interesting about sizing - I used the fit calculator earlier today to try and work out what size dress to order. I worked from the dresses I already own and compared the size I bought to the Toast recommended size. And I did find some consistency - but it turned out that in most cases I bought one size smaller than the recommendation. Must cost a fortune if you need to return from where you are though. I’ve never been to Australia, how does Toast compare to local shops?

Numbat26 · 15/01/2021 03:45

Interesting on the sizing calc comparison!

Returns are the equiv of 18 pounds or so not totally outrageous and DHL does come to your house and collect it but definitely enough to put you off taking a random punt 😆 Given it’s the same to get it here too!

There are some great Aussie slow fashion / ethical brands - Citizen Wolf for actual made to measure t shirts almost at Toast prices, Outland Denim and Little Tienda floaty dresses for some examples. But I’ve not come across something exactly like Toast, especially the sales euphoria 😂

Upmarket active wear has been big here for ages long before Lululemon got to the uk but it’s not really my thing. High street equiv is alright but I do still miss John Lewis and I have been here a fairly long time 🥰

LunaTheCat · 15/01/2021 07:14

Numbat -waves across the Tasman from New Zealand. I agree the $40 shipping fee is astronomical and totally money grabbing - Brora rake the VAT off and charge more reasonably ( sales shopper for both!)

Countmeout · 15/01/2021 07:39

That’s a lot for delivery @Numbat26 and @LunaTheCat, do you have to pay customs on top of that?
Nice dresses at Little Tienda btw.

AuldFox · 15/01/2021 10:01

I need to NOT look at the Australian websites listed above....

Numbat26 · 15/01/2021 10:23

Oh no I didn’t need to know that enticing fact about Brora @LunaTheCat😉
I have never paid customs so I think the threshold must be reasonably high.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 15/01/2021 11:43

I think cor might be Australian. They are on the young British designers website which is also worth a look.
So.my green ine dress arrived. I like the shape but not sure if the print is a bit too 'table cloth' irl. Does anyone have it? I will attach a few photos for honest feedback Grin
