Very daring to wear these?

So recently I’ve lost a bit of weight, have been working really hard at the gym and am feeling better about myself for the first time in a long time. I’m going for a night out on Saturday for drinks and was wondering if these leggings would be ridiculous to wear?

If you saw someone out in these would you think they are ott? I think they are okay for me age wise, just worried I might get a few looks Hmm and they might make me look cheap

I think if they were worn with heels they’d look OTT. But I really like the photo of them styled with flats.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/10/2019 19:49

Horrible. Sorry, but they really are.

Lucked · 19/10/2019 19:49

It’s a no from me. They don’t look terrible styled with the thick jumper and heavy boots on the website so I suppose it may depend on what you plan to wear with them?

Better to stick to coated or leather trousers.

Also I know you linked to the black but wtf with the nude colour???

Tryingtogetitright · 19/10/2019 19:52

What colour would you go for? Black and burgundy ones look quite nice. The beige look awful!! Think it very much depends on what you wear them with - they could look very classy or the complete opposite.

Blahblahblahnanana · 19/10/2019 19:53

They’re utterly hideous! 🤢

EdWinchester · 19/10/2019 19:53

They are hideous. Truly.

Get some good quality coated ones.

Sherloidbaisherloid · 19/10/2019 19:54

Could you maybe get some faux leather look leggings? Still flattering but more classy? I think honestly the mega shiny pvc look of them is quite cheap and tacky sorry! Well done on your weight loss and feeling so confident tho! Smile

Fuckenstein · 19/10/2019 19:55

Depends on the styling. I quite like the burgundy one but the nude are horrendous!

ViserionTheDragon · 19/10/2019 19:55

Agree with Lucked about leather look trousers instead, much more flattering.

Sagradafamiliar · 19/10/2019 19:57

I get that you've done well to lose some weight, but this doesn't mean you should ever consider patent leggings. They are a true monstrosity, do not do it. I can't believe how expensive they are as well! For something that looks like part of a cheap Halloween get-up or out of a sex shop bargain bin.

Redland12 · 19/10/2019 19:59

Sorry but I love them! Definitely heels though.

HundredMilesAnHour · 19/10/2019 20:01

I wouldn't call them daring. Dated perhaps.

It depends if you're intending to make them a feature of your outfit or not. Worn with flat boots or trainers and a loose-fitting long top, they'd be ok. Tight and/or short top and/or heels will look terrible. Not daring, just dated and trashy.

And £95?!!!

Talisin · 19/10/2019 20:02

I think they’re horrible and look like fetish wear but if you really like them and have legs then go for it. Mostly if I saw someone wearing them, I’d be jealous of their figure and the self confidence required to carry them off.

inwood · 19/10/2019 20:03

Awful. Look like fetish wear.

Talisin · 19/10/2019 20:06

have the legs for them I did assume you have legs!

Itallt0omuch · 19/10/2019 20:09

Olivia Newton John in grease.

nespressowoo · 19/10/2019 20:09

Jesus wept. No. They are flipping awful! Don't waste the best part of £100!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/10/2019 20:10

I like them, but I did used to wear a lot of PVC in my youth! I think the way they are styled with the big jumper is nice but probably not a night out look. I'd wear them with a black lace tunic but then I don't have the figure not to cover my bum a bit.

youcanthandlethetruth · 19/10/2019 20:10

I was thinking about a jumper with them. Not sure whether boots or heels. I saw a group of girls wearing them before, one was wearing leggings and the other a pvc skirt and they definitely got a lot of attention from men

I’m 24, and have gone from a size 14 to a size 8. I always said if I could lose the weight then I would wear them if I ever got the confidence back. We are going out in London so didn’t think I would get many looks seeing as it’s such a diverse place fashion wise

I’m early 20s - I think they look normal and on trend. Would definitely see people my age wearing them when going out at least.

I do think normal faux leather looks nicer than the patent though - patent is less versatile too.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/10/2019 20:12

The beige ones look like some kind of Barbie fancy dress XD

Lhastingsmua · 19/10/2019 20:14

To be honest, just buy a patent pair from PLT or similar if you don’t plan on wearing them often.

youcanthandlethetruth · 19/10/2019 20:14

It would be the black ones

Thanks for your advice

I wa going to say "god no" but actually, if I was 24 (Not 42) and a size 8 (rather than 14) then I definitely would

My main issue with them is the price!
