Very daring to wear these?

So recently I’ve lost a bit of weight, have been working really hard at the gym and am feeling better about myself for the first time in a long time. I’m going for a night out on Saturday for drinks and was wondering if these leggings would be ridiculous to wear?

If you saw someone out in these would you think they are ott? I think they are okay for me age wise, just worried I might get a few looks Hmm and they might make me look cheap

Great advice thank you

I'm the same size and similar age to you OP (ok a few years older!) but I still think they're gross. I get it, you've lost weight, but you have nothing to prove. I guess you're wanting that 'wow' factor and think these will give you it so go ahead if you like them.

Bojheybuddy · 19/10/2019 20:39

I would look like a jelly in a bin bag in those. Good for you op if you can pull them off (or get them on)Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/10/2019 20:39

Agree that you should wear what makes you happy. But I'm sure you'd feel just as happy spending £30 in River Island on some faux leather leggings, and you'd have all the rest leftover for cocktails!

Craftycorvid · 19/10/2019 20:40

As a few have pointed out, definitely a nod to fetish wear there,OP Grin. They do look a bit, ahem, sweaty?! I’d say, if this was your ‘going for it’ outfit to celebrate the weight loss, crack on and enjoy....but surely there’s a less expensive version out there?

Pinkarsedfly · 19/10/2019 20:41

24 and a size 8?

You crack on, love. Enjoy it while you can. You’ll never be this young again. Give yourself something to smile about when you’re ancient my age!

Justneedaflippingtemporaryname · 19/10/2019 20:44

Hmm, I don't think MN is the right demographic to ask. 🤔

I say why the hell not. Do wear it with confidence, though.

MilkLady02 · 19/10/2019 20:45

I would say if you feel confident in them, then wear them. You can get away with wearing more ‘outrageous’ items when you’re young and slim! I had a pair of the more leather look ones and they did look good on. It does depend on whether you can pull them off, the irony being that they are really hard to actually get off as they are really tight and stick to your legs! And yes, the sweat....Confused!!

HeavyChopping · 19/10/2019 20:46

It's the patent element that cheapens them. If they were matte leather they would be fine. The shiny ones look very cheap and in the words of Dolly Parton "It costs a lot of money to look this cheap."

Pixilicious · 19/10/2019 20:47

If you can pull them off, go for it. Not the flesh coloured ones though!

surlycurly · 19/10/2019 20:48

I have similar in black and burgundy and wear them with long tops/ jumpers and fly boots. I think they look great. Wear what you like!

JenniferM1989 · 19/10/2019 20:50

I initially thought no way! I'm glad I never expressed that as you've gone on to say you are 24 and a size 8 so I think you can pull them off

Putthekettleonplease · 19/10/2019 20:51

I think they are lovely. Very sexy. And if your a size 8 then celebrate that weightloss. Do it. You will rock those bad boys.

confusedmaybe · 19/10/2019 20:54

I hate them, sorry. I'm sure you'd look fabulous in something else

snottysystem · 19/10/2019 20:54

They are not my kind of thing but that whole Kardashian skin tight look is popular with the youths. I prefer them dressed down & think the linked pics look a little dated style wise.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/10/2019 20:58

Oh gosh if your 24 and a Size 8 then totally go for this style but I've just seen they are nearly 100 quid :o

Runningonempty84 · 19/10/2019 20:59

Depends where you're going. They're a bit try-hard for most pubs and bars IMO.

They also a tad dated - remind me of circumnavigating the screeching masses on Deansgate Locks on a Friday night around 10 years ago.

That said, if you've got the figure and you're after attention, then why not? Go for it!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 19/10/2019 20:59

That's not the right smiley, I was aiming for Shock

TessTackle · 19/10/2019 21:00

@youcanthandlethetruth look at the molly jeans from river island, they have a coated/faux leather version which are SO versatile.

TessTackle · 19/10/2019 21:01

Also try Rebellious Fashion Kamyra trousers xx

PurpleFrames · 19/10/2019 21:03

Sorry they look trampy 🙈 plus for £90+ that is a totally rip off

Runningonempty84 · 19/10/2019 21:04

If you do go for it, get the Asos version, at a fifth of the price...

AgathaTheAardvark · 19/10/2019 21:05

If I was 24 and a size 8, I might wear them on a night out. But there is no way I would spend £95 on plastic leggings. No chance.

youcanthandlethetruth · 19/10/2019 21:08

I’ve a good job and no children so the money isn’t a major issue for me. Will maybe look at some cheaper ones as they look fairly similar

No, the only pace these look good is on the catwalk or on a model
