Go for it! No question too silly.......

I totally get how intimidating some counters can be ! Plus I've gone "undercover" recently and gone for a few free makeovers and have wanted to cry when I see myself after and am determined to never make any of my clients or models feel like that.......

I'm not promising I'm a miracle worker but I've got a few years of experience in lots of fields of MUA so if I can help I will x

Ps I think you should start the thread off lovely battleax! X

SmallVera · 25/06/2018 13:52

I don't want to wear foundation but need a way to hide my horrible big pores. they're mostly on my nose and one is huuge :(

Dizzywizz · 25/06/2018 13:52

What is the best way to apply foundation?

SoleBizzz · 25/06/2018 13:52

How do you get the airbrushed finish? No visible pores etc.
Are LVL lashes any good?

Yarnswift · 25/06/2018 13:55

Is there a way of getting light makeup to stay on without being caked in layers of it? On the very rare occasions I wear makeup I want it to be light, yet my mascara slides off, and gives me panda eyes, my lipstick disappears in seconds etc. I do not have greasy skin and I also don’t want to be caked in stuff. Any ideas?

Oh also lipstick - my lips are permanently flakey and I’ve tried every moisturiser /technique on the planet. Any ideas?

reallyanotherone · 25/06/2018 13:57

Do you honestly think the contoured, fake tanned, 3 ft eyelashes, hd eyebrows drag queen style is a good look?

Do you think hd eyebrows are attractive at all?

Should one draw outside the lipline? I see it on insta-pouts all the time.

What do you think of people that don’t wear make up?

TrollTheRespawnJeremy · 25/06/2018 13:58

Tell me about undereye concealer- all the makeup counters make it too dry and it just looks horrible!

What do I need!

MoreCoffeePlease123 · 25/06/2018 13:59

How do I blend effectively? I only have two minutes for my eyes a day! 😂

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 13:59

Woohoo we are off! Not working today so will try to answer.....
Best thing for eye bags/crepey eyelids are cold teaspoons on the bags for 5 mins.....tap in light reflecting concealer to the darker area with ring finger . Best to use a creamy liquid one, not a solid one from a lipstick like wand. You can use the same light reflecting base over the lid too ........hides little veins and discolouration plus makes you look a bit "more awake".

Best lipstick for staying power isn't necessarily the product but the base underneath it! Conceal/loose powder on the lip before can really help. Depending on how oily your lip is or if lines around the lip line will determine what product I'd use so I wouldn't want to rec a particular one as may not suit you

Does a really red lispstick exist that I can wear all day, drink/kiss/eat wearing at it won’t rub off?

I have tried so many and I am still searching for the holy grail!

ItWillAllBeOkayInTheEnd · 25/06/2018 14:00

I don't really know how to choose foundation. I go to counters and get colour-matched, but after I've bought one I start thinking it's not quite right. What's the best approach for a pale-skinned person who tends to be a bit rosy-cheeked?

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 14:02

Best way to apply foundation.......cold hands! Then buff in with soft big bristle brush in a very small circular motion

Green is best for red coverage yes.....use a cream one not a hard waxy one

Non silicone based primer good for not showing off very open pores.....powder can often sit in pores like talc so don't use on those areas!

can you please recommend a good compact powder for oily skin

I think lvl lashes are overrated but I sometimes have it done as I feel like when I curl my eyelashes before mascara it does leave a more dramatic look (which I like on me)

I don't wear much make up. Go days without it! Love making other people up but rarely wear much on me

Blending eyeshadow.....get a round headed blending eyeshadow brush......the brush is the key here not the product

I personally don't like the fake contoured look although I can do it. I find it ageing and only really good for bright camera work .

Less is more really is my motto. Foundation if absolutely necessary on only the really needed areas. B.B. creams are totally UNDERRATED. Use them!

I'm mixed race with very yellow undertones and a lot of hyperpigmentation on my face.

I try to match my foundation to my chest as it the part that is usually on show but after a few hours the foundation always looks too orange.

I've tired going lighter, using different undertones, using toner, but nothing helps.

I'm currently using 4 didnt nars foundations and mixing them but I still turn orange

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 14:10

Buy a packet of mascara wands.....and use them over lips with a bit of Vaseline. If all lipsticks are causing drying flakey patches, give lips a break for a bit. Blisteze cream for a few days then go back to it!

Foundation.....put a stripe on jawline and leave the shop to see it in real light outside......choose one that you can barely see where you put it!

How do you put eyeshadow on without it looking dry? I don't have many wrinkles and I prime my eyelids, I use UD but I suddenly look 10 years older once I've put my base colour on and end up rubbing it off.

Any tips Smile?
