Go for it! No question too silly.......

I totally get how intimidating some counters can be ! Plus I've gone "undercover" recently and gone for a few free makeovers and have wanted to cry when I see myself after and am determined to never make any of my clients or models feel like that.......

I'm not promising I'm a miracle worker but I've got a few years of experience in lots of fields of MUA so if I can help I will x

Ps I think you should start the thread off lovely battleax! X

I've got hooded eyelids that are sagging in my old age, one noticeably more than the other so I'm starting to look like I'm having a stroke Confused

Is there something I can put on my upper eyelids that will tighten them up, or is surgery the only solution?

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 20:36

Sadly not although some people use eyelid tape!!!
I think I have a one eyelid that droops more than the other and I speak out of the corner of my mouth . Sadly I'm no miracle worker! X

My lipstick won't stay on my inner lower lip even for a second. I have a slight overbite so the "moist" skin I think comes too far out. Any strong coloured lipstick disappears leaving an obvious coloured edge. Even with primer, pencil, super matt super stay lipsticks. Is there any product that will put even a little colour on that inner lip? Some sort of stain?

JoyceDivision · 25/06/2018 20:39

Please can people stop saying that hooded eyelids make them look like they have had a stroke, it's really unnecessary
Hooded eyelids - first world problems
Stroke - serious health issue.

WraithBabe · 25/06/2018 20:41

Thanks @imsconequeen . Sob, it's just as I feared!

Tryingoutanothername · 25/06/2018 20:43

What would you recommend for eyebrows on a redhead ? Mine are gingery blond and can't be seen from a distance 😂. Thanks

ggirl · 25/06/2018 20:45

Where is it best to put blusher if you have a fat face Grin ?

WraithBabe · 25/06/2018 20:49

@joycedivision, don't worry I have a serious neurological illness so I'm very familiar with serious health issues. Actually I campaign about neurological disability and chronic illness - do you? this is a thread about makeup and beauty so it's a bit of light relief for me, you have no idea what I go through and struggle with on a daily basis - maybe consider that you can't always make assumptions about the person on the other side of the keyboard.

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 20:49

Sometimes if you put lip colour on and blot then a touch of translucent powder on top it will help but often that ring where your lip is a bit wetter is bloody difficult to keep covered.
I'd try a lip pencil or chubby stick as opposed to a wetter product if that makes sense?!

I dye my own eyebrows, light brown dye from eyelure as mixture of grey/ginge thing going on! Only leave on for 2 mins then use mayeline brow artist mascara in medium brown when wearing make up x

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 21:05

Yes sorry vaggie
Do you feel you need a mascara on bottom lids? Could you use a clear one?
Is the liner for the inner rim or outside? X

Thank you I've been recommended vitamin e in the past but will try vitamin a!

What are your staples that you use in your everyday makeup routine? I often feel like I use a lot of make up day to day as I feel I look bad without it.

Any cleanser & make up recommendations for acne skin - always looks angry? The skin I mean!

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 21:17

If you tint your bottom lashes then stick to clear mascara as I think waterproof can flake off bottom lashes after a while
Pencil wise I do like sleek from Superdrug......staying power can smash some of my expensive brands!!!

imsconequeen · 25/06/2018 21:18

Acnehelp environ and dr murad would be my best results driven ones but they don't smell very nice, are costly and you have to persevere!

i find that make up vanishes into my skin after a remarkably short time. I use No 7 serum and moisturiser, as they suit my skin. Others I have tried have made me break out in spots. I'm in my 50s. I have broken veins on one cheek thanks to a couple of accidents to that side of my face. I am also about the palest person you will ever meet! My make up always used to stay put, but I also have thyroid problems that seem to affect everything, so wonder if this is part of the problem. Thanks for this thread - what a good idea.
