Lipstick Challenge January 2018.

Come my pretties.... Some of us did this last year, the idea of this is wearing a different lipstick everyday. I have more lipsticks than you can shake a stick at, I collect them.

Today I wore Kiko metal lipstick in Unconventional Gold, from their Arctic Holiday collection. It wasn't very pigmented, but it still looked pretty, (I'm partly blaming this on the condition of my lips, as they're as dry as the Sahara at the moment, and a bit flaky and scabby and disgusting at the moment to boot.) I will post a picture of the lipstick in a bit, it looks very pretty in the tube.

What a good idea. I've got loads too but always wear the same ones.

Well I couldn't take a decent picture of my lipstick, so I found a promo picture of the metallic lipsticks from the Arctic Holiday collection, today I wore Charming Red, another of the metallic lipsticks, and Sleek matte me up metallic in Volcanic, which was part of a set I got from Boots. Great idea! I wore MAC Captive yesterday and Modesty today. I've got several reds I don't use much so will try to wear them more.

Good idea! I might not manage every single day as I doubt I've got 365 lipsticks. I'll count them and get back to you - as well as tell you which I'm wearing, of course.

I've probably now got enough for one a day for a week.

Today was Mac Twig.

Counting my lipsticks would probably take a week! I got all the NYX liquid suede lipsticks last year, there's 24 of them! (Some of them were technically free, I saved up my Boots points and paid for quite a few of them that way.) And collected quite a few Kiko limited edition ones. I did go through my make up last year and donated quite a lot, same with my jewellery (none of which was valuable.) This year I want to get all the NYX cosmic metal lip creams.

Not sure I have enough lipsticks to keep up with you but love the idea.

Today I started with Rosie for Autograph Rosie Lips but I caught sight of myself in natural daylight and it was too dark for my look, blotted most of it off ( it really stained my lips) and went over the top with Clinique Pop Glaze in sprinkle pop which is a staple of mine.

Oooh, that is such a dinky little set! I was rather kicking myself when NYX came out with the liquid suede vault before Christmas, because as well as the 24 original shades in minis it had six limited edition ones, and I suppose minis would be less wasteful than full size. Oh well, I'd already got them all!

Yeah, lipstick addict here, I find it hard to stop at just a few...

Another addict here. I was planning to do this as well - but am in comfort zone today my current favourite, Revlon Ultra HD Matte in Seduction. Wore Clinique Chubby Stick intense in Brick Red yesterday - felt too bright for daytime but I forced myself not to change it

Oh I love these threads. I remember last years! Great thread Sapphire! Well today I wore my Diego Dalla Palmer burgundy lipstick, as a stain! I never do this normally but I had burgundy/red/gold eyes so felt like a stain would be better!

Today I wore another Kiko lipstick, also from the Arctic Holiday collection*, this one is matte, and it's called Elegant Orchid. (Again, not my picture.) I wore a shimmery olive green eyeshadow, with a shimmery white dotted in the centre of my lids, burgundy eyeliner and iridescent green highlighter. The eyeshadow and highlighter were Makeup Revolution, the eyeliner Kiko. I have a thing about green at the moment.
(*Would it be unwise to mention that I have all the lipsticks and the lip balm from that particular collection? Limited edition is like a siren song to me. )

I wore mac kinda sexy today, sometimes feel its too peachy for me but I managed a brown eyeshadow look today which I think helped it suit me better.
I've never heard of kiko, seems popular so I better have a Google!

Mac Velvet Teddy today, a lovely nude - sort of 'your lips but better' shade.

My NY resolution for about 3 years now has been 'wear more lipstick'

I wear make up every day for work and got into the habit of not adding lipstick because it would come off when I kissed the kids goodbye...

I am also starting to get a bit worried about having an old lady wrinkly pout that bright lipsticks feather into - any ideas on how best to deal with that?

Welcome to our humble abode misscheery and isambardo! To the latter, Kiko are fantastic. They're not that expensive, are really good quality, and have their own shops dotted all over the UK, or you can order off the website and get free shipping when you spend a certain amount, (I think it's £25.) Only downside is they're based in Milan so sometimes things take a little while to get here.

Love this thread. I ve got a huge lipstick collection and one of my resolutions this year is to wear more bright colours as I only really wear Mac Myth. Yesterday was Mac Heroine day. Will post today's one when I am ready 😁 Can we have some pics please? Even if they are just swatches

I was the OP who started the original thread last January - lovely to see that it's being resurrected! It's only for January, not the whole year, so don't panic about not having 365 lipsticks!

I put all my lipsticks in a box and pulled one out at random every day. I found I was really excited to see some colours, and a lot more 'meh' about others. I got rid of any lipsticks that I didn't love at the end of the month and of course bought a few new ones.

Estee Lauder Elizabeth Pink today. (Discontinued years ago, but can still be found on eBay). Not sure it still suits me, but I love it as a colour ....

Mac lady danger. I rarely wear this but really enjoying it today. Only the 5th January and this challenge is already making try lipsticks which have been hidden at the back of the cupboard!
