Dear lord her face looks terrible on This Morning.
Is it the botox or the fillers that makes a face look so weird?

You'd better discuss fast before this is deleted Grin

Zanzibaragain · 29/09/2014 10:45

I like Amanda, but the top two thirds of her face are not moving at all.

It's the manic laugh which goes with the scary staring eyes that's freaking me out slightly.

mignonette · 29/09/2014 10:51

I am filled with sadness that women feel the need to damage themselves in this manner. :(

Fcukfifa · 29/09/2014 10:53

Just turned it on and this is Amanda's absolutely shocked face at the 55% death tax.
Her forehead did not move a millimetre (I rewound about 5 times Blush)

However, I do like her, but come on Amanda we want to see some expression!

I agree mig, it's so sad.

She would look just as (or even more) beautiful without the Botox etc

BellaVita · 29/09/2014 10:56

I love Amanda, this is the first time I have seen her in ages (normally at work but off due to a knee op), I am shocked at the level of Botox. She really didn't need it.

itsbetterthanabox · 29/09/2014 10:59

Why do posters always say threads about Amanda Holden get deleted? Why would that be?

ArsenicFaceCream · 29/09/2014 11:04

Wasn't commenting on AH threads specifically box. A lot of sleb threads have bitten the dust recently, however. Some kind of crackdown. It seems commenting on the appearance of famous women is off the menu. There was a fantastic deletion message for a pretty mild Victoria Beckham thread the other day explaining that she was 'a woman and a mother'.

I merely observe that AH is sleb a woman AND a mother. So I'm thinking the thread is doomed. Unless the propensity of certain people to sue really does come into it, as was hinted at elsewhere.

No idea really. I'm watching with interest Smile

Zanzibaragain · 29/09/2014 11:13

Oh boy what Have I done....

Amanda has been frozen-expressioned for a long time. I find it difficult to watch her. I suspect more than her forehead is Botoxed. She might as well wear a plasctic-doll-face-mask.

Such a shame, a very good looking woman, just over-done. I'm sure with less help she would age beautifully. I know women slebs will say that the industry demands this is how they should look but really???

ArsenicFaceCream · 29/09/2014 11:17

Women plasticating themselves seems a reasonable subject for discussion to me Zanz. But then so did concerned comments about a gaunt looking woman. What do I know? It might stand. I'm interested to see if it does.

GimmeMySquash · 29/09/2014 11:18

I am not sure how it works, I just turned over and she raised her eyebrows. I thought with botox you can't achieve that.

mignonette · 29/09/2014 11:20

Yes, a chat with Martin Lewis (lines, some grey, eye bags, facial mobility) and Phil Scofield (lines, eyebags, grey, facial mobility) and Amanda.

The appearance bar is being set so high we women are doomed to fail the moment that X chromosome hits the egg.

lurkingaround · 29/09/2014 11:22

Depends how much Botox and where it's injected. IMO ideally you should have some movement left, just a softening of lines. I hate that shiny smooth immobile forehead and face, IMO it looks ridiculous.

GimmeMySquash · 29/09/2014 11:25

Maybe she has just had botox on the top portion of her forehead and the bit between the eyebrows, leaving the muscle just above the eyebrows still in working order?

Zanzibaragain · 29/09/2014 11:29

Its the cheeks that make her face look frozen, they dont budge at all, only her chin moves.

OP posts:
EmilyGilmore · 29/09/2014 11:34

What's worse is that without doing this to herself, she knows she wouldn't get the tv gigs she does. Those who employ her want young women with smooth faces and pert boobs and bums. That's the real horror.

But yes, she has really overdone it.

lurkingaround · 29/09/2014 11:35

I'd say she's had a bit of Botox here there and everywhere on her face. Nothing moves. Last time I saw her on telly, even her chin hardly moved.

desperatehousewife21 · 29/09/2014 11:53

I'll try and hold back as I really do not like Amanda holden but yes she has def had botox and yes she looks awful.

mignonette · 29/09/2014 11:56

I'd like to forcibly hold down and inject botox into the dick of every male TV executive that condones or encourages this. This is not solely generated within the minds of these female TV presenters.

Am getting older and crosser but at least I can still show it :)

SofaCanary · 29/09/2014 11:56

She does have a tendency to overdo the injectables, can't help but like her though...she's infinitely better than the giggling little girl Holly.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/09/2014 12:11

Her eyes are disappearing as her forehead is becoming her most prominent feature!

Tillybee · 29/09/2014 12:34

"There was a fantastic deletion message for a pretty mild Victoria Beckham thread the other day explaining that she was 'a woman and a mother'."

I didn't see the thread, but seriously that sounds like a bizarre reason for deletion. A woman and a mother Hmm

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/09/2014 12:38

A woman and a mother is code for we can't piss off business interests Wink
