You're welcome Dry - I'm going to cost you a fortune. :)
Meant to tell you that I also got complimented the other day in my #doingaDry outfit of Whistles orange sweatshirt and statement gold necklace from Cos. I was in SpaceNK buying mascara of amazingness so she was probably boosting my ego pre-sale but I was happy.

Man, House of Cards wardrobe, amazing. Only on episode 3.

QueenCadbury · 07/04/2014 22:08

Hello all. Back from wet Wales although Bluestone is lovely. For those that you that enjoy centre parcs you'd enjoy this too, if not more. We've decided to go back there for our summer holiday.

On my return this was waiting for me. It was on the kitchen island as my neighbour bought it in whilst feeding the cats. Dh must have seen it but didn't comment. I'm taking advantage of him being so relaxed over money at the moment Grin. Anyway, great cardi, great colour, perfect size 8 for me.

Before I went away I also bought this cossie in navy which I love. Felt very confident in it even when we bumped into people we know.

Off to Drayton manor/Thomas land tomorrow so will be wearing all things practical.

Haven't had chance to catch up properly with all the links and chat but hope everyone is well...

Turquoiseblue · 07/04/2014 22:59

Marking place Thanks

Novice Blush

Hope you get your swimsuit sleep

Lovely cozzie Queen

Amber - I proper chortled when I read your blog last night, ! I soooo needed that yesterday morning !!

Am so so sad for peaches geldof. Her poor babies, and family.

libertychick · 07/04/2014 23:03

I like the look of that swimsuit QueenC. Cardi is a lovely colour. Glad to hear you had a good break and that DH is relaxed!

For the first time ever in my life I have packed away winter clothes! Amazing - I can actually see what I have for summer. I'm not going to work tomorrow, have a horrible chest infection and sore throat and can't speak (not a state I am used to - DH finding it hilarious). Going to do a couple of hours work from home and then have a try on session and make a list of things I actually need to make up some summer outfits.

QueenCadbury · 08/04/2014 07:14

That sounds like a perfect use of time liberty. Hope you feel better soon.

AmberNectarine · 08/04/2014 07:43

dry just to dispel any rumours about Louboutins being comfortable, mine are hideously painful.

Fedupnagging · 08/04/2014 08:13

Gosh, a new thread already!

Glad you had a good time away Queen and sorry you are not feeling great Liberty.

One, it's sounds like you are doing brilliantly re the weight loss. Think I need some tips. as she stuffs another croissant down.

Met up with DM yesterday for some retail therapy. Very disappointing. The only top I tried on looked hideous and then forgot to buy a replacement Bobby Brown lipstick. Oh well, was great to catch up with DM and we had a lovely long lunch.

Drywhiteplease · 08/04/2014 09:08

Today I'm trying to copy this lovely young lady. I'm just not in a black/grey/camel/sludge sort of mood....the sun is almost out, it isn't raining yet and I'm getting ready for Italy, so I'm pretending it's Spring.

Orange and cream breton
Apple green fitted cardi (Queenc love that turquoise btw! as you know I'm a sucker for a fitted cardi)
Straight cut jeans turned up
Bright blue gazelles why do I only see middle aged blokes wearing these? Am I retro or completely beyond hope?Hmm
Orange statement necklace #doingadry love that Shop

And I might even bring out Nancy to add to the colour bomb Grin

My feet aren't the right shape for Louboutin, sadly I find them too low rise or however you call it. I only wore my wedding ones twice (one wedding) and the aisle was grass in the garden so I can't even sell them. They were pretty.

Dry sounds great.

Queen welcome back.

Sunny coffee / breakfast and day off with dh, brilliant.

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/04/2014 09:42

Morning :)

Great outfit Dry, colour always makes me feel cheerful and it's a lovely day! I'm wearing new DP scuba dress over a white shirt with brogues, v comfy.

Welcome back Linus and QueenC. Gorgeous colour cardigan.

I'm going to partly take back what I said about the outnet and their fit information... they don't measure bikinis! e.g. this... gorgeous and a bargain but who is actually the same size on top and bottom? And that model is not a 32C. Bah!

Lots of bikinis on there today though, so maybe worth a look santa? If you know your size of course...

Stokey · 08/04/2014 10:43

Love those Massimo dresses Dry, and very reasonable

Marsha Claire's wardrobe is amazing - don't think I can rock her style, completely different body shape a little conservative for me - but she looks perfect. And it's great the way they have her using the same bag or wearing the same shoes or coat in different episodes. I particularly covet her black silk pyjamas... ideal for the childless lady unlikely to have mucky paws smeared all over them.

Lovely outfit Dry and great cardie QueenC. And interesting about Bluestone, we did first Centre Parcs trip last autumn with friends and was pleasantly surprised, although most of the activities were designed for slightly older children.

I know the sun is shining but am freezing at work - have my cashmere scarf & wristwarmers on, really struggle at this time of year.

Stokey · 08/04/2014 10:46

Anyone fancy a tiger's face on their bottom?!

I can't start thinking about bikinis for another couple of months really.

libertychick · 08/04/2014 11:18

Oh I so wish I had a wedding to go to and look Marsha I even have the bag!!

OneLittleLady · 08/04/2014 11:41

I've just got an e-mail inviting me for a formal interview for a university placement. What do I wear?! I rarely ever have to do formal, usually only weddings or funerals so I haven't got a clue!

libertychick · 08/04/2014 11:44

Oh exciting One. I wouldn't imagine you would have to be too formal for an interview for a university course especially one in a creative field. Is there anyone there you could ring for advise? The interview is formal, doesn't mean the dress code is formal.

AmberNectarine · 08/04/2014 12:02

When I went for my interview at Cambridge I just wore a knee length skirt, sweater and knee boots (was in November and 10 years ago don't judge) and that was fine so I don't think you need a suit etc.

OneLittleLady · 08/04/2014 12:06

I've got plenty of skirts and dresses to choose from so I know I can pull something together, I just hope I don't look daft!

MarshaBrady · 08/04/2014 12:44

Stokey I know. In fact I love all the females in the show. They all look fantastic. Tv is getting much, much better at showing strong female leads. Love it anyway, love Kevin Spacey, I probably wouldn't adore it as much if he wasn't in it. Such a good actor.

Liberty so pretty! And yes you have the bag! Grin

One good news, don't go too formal at all I say, it is a creative course, better to be more yourself. Just yourself on a good clothes day iyswim.

Blair I agree, crazy not to give people the choice. Just so limiting and really does it make that much difference to them?

We won the pitch, so that's good! It's not a long project, intense and short so won't take too long which is fab, and a good one to get. Will pay nicely for my SS sales stuff Wink

OneLittleLady · 08/04/2014 12:50

Thanks everyone. I like think I might give my grey DKNY dress an outing with a black cardigan over it, black ankle boots and coat will depend on the weather. Haven't worn it in ages and it's one of my feel good dresses. Dp's mum put a new zip in it as it broke and I've been waiting for a reason to wear it.

Topazandpearl · 08/04/2014 12:52

Thank you Liberty, I do have a wedding to go to so have just ordered that Thanks.
We'll done on getting an interview One. As Marsha says! go as you. You will be great.
We'll done on getting the pitch Marsha.
Hi to everyone else.

libertychick · 08/04/2014 13:11

Well done Marsha

That's great Topaz I love it when I accidentally find the right thing for someone Smile

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 08/04/2014 13:13

Gorgeous dress Topaz and liberty, such a beautiful print.

Well done Marsha, and One - that dress sounds perfect but you could probably add some colour in the outfit too if you wanted, doesn't have to be all dark. I'm sure you will look lovely whatever :) as long as you're comfortable your enthusiasm for the course will shine through!
