Hi hoping for some advice please, does anyone have any recommendations of style blogs, don't want anything too high fashion, just general every day wear, in need of some inspiration.

Thanks :)

I like Does My Bum Look 40 in This and Style Guile.

chanie44 · 31/12/2013 18:12

School gate style blog.

jinglymum · 31/12/2013 18:28

Thank you will check these out, ones I've found before are too trendy for me

This is my favourite.

buttercrumble · 31/12/2013 18:31

This is a nice one fashionmumof40.blogspot.co.uk/2013/09/the-power-of-bretonand-school-runs.html?m=1 you may be younger but she picks lovely classic and fashionable bits and pieces

trixymalixy · 31/12/2013 18:32

My favourite is The Frugality. I also like Wearing it Today.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 18:37

Oh that one is nice, Dexter. I'd forgotten about her.

jinglymum · 31/12/2013 18:41

Thank you so much, I am sat looking through these instead of getting ready.

I'm 26, work full time and have a 2 year old little boy, so want work/toddler friendly ideas. I'm a social worker so work is pretty causal clothing, unless in court.

My faves are Does My Bum Look 40, Style Guile and School Gate Style.

Twentymumthing, written by MN's very own AmberNectarine!

Allwornout, a slightly more "amateur" blog but some nice ideas and a variety of styles.

Poppy's Style - she lives in the US but buys a lot online; makes some...er.... interesting choices.....

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:27

I love WIT and obviously Allwornout not that I blog anymore - I think its one of the few blogs that does it just for fun and not for freebies so I guess it is amateur

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 21:31

there area thousands of htreads on this

a lot of them are just bankers wives in scarves

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 21:32

style guile too prim fgs
I want to get her hammered on tequila and make her wear something outrageous

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:32

I'm currently obsessed with Esther Walker's food blog which is very very funny.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 21:33

Bankers' wives in scarves! Grin

Mrs CB - have you stopped altogether?

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:33

I think the key is to find a blog where its someone whose a similar shape/size to you. I like doesmybum but none of her stuff works on me as we're totally different shapes.

Where as I'm a dead-ringer for WIT Wink - I also like how her blog is a bit aspirational.

AnnBryce · 31/12/2013 21:33

Bankers' wives in scarves!

Succinct & spot on!

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:35

Yes, I went back to work remus - too busy now Wink

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 21:36

Aha! :)

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 21:36

cb - twitter

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:36

And despite loving WIT who clearly gets freebies and discounts galore, I don't really like blogs where its clear that the posts are sponsored/whatever.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 21:37

WIT far, far too expensive for me, and some v odd choices at times.

AlaskaNebraska · 31/12/2013 21:37

yup old kat and her collarless jackets and victoriana shirts makes me look like the wife for the prospective tory Candidate for Henley

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/12/2013 21:37

And she's mostly just trying to flog stuff nowadays too. I liked her in the v early days, when she lived in Breton tops.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:39

I think its very very hard unless you do work in fashion to provide enough different outfits to make a blog really interesting.

And most bloggers know what suits them so just wear variations of their uniform the whole time.

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2013 21:40

Kat is tall and slender so looks good in pretty much everything.
