My mini moments of happiness - first thing in the morning when the alarm goes off, ds slips into my bed, strokes my hair and tells me 'time to get up beautiful mummy' .

And bits like now when I'm sat at my desk working (well, drinking my coffee right now) and the dogs are curled up at my feet all happy and cuddly.

I have a mini moment of happiness every day when I pick up my older children from school my dd comes running out with her hair all messy telling me about her day and my ds who's almost 11 with his "areet ma" and his knuckle bump!
I also have one whenever my ds2 who's nearly two learns something new or says a new sentence that his little self has thought up. Today he said please mama and I replied what son, he said a cuppa tea bottle please! Love it x

When my nearly 2 year old puts her hand in mine or gives me a kiss or a cuddle without me having to beg ask!

A recent mini moment of happiness was seeing the look on my son's face when it started snowing, and then going to the park to build a snowman together. He loved it. Later on in bed he asked "Will it come alive?" (having seen The Snowman at Christmas!)

I'm a single mom to a lovely little boy who is 6. My moments of happiness and pride come when ds does little things around the house, without being asked and without fuss, sometimes without me even knowing until i realise it's been done. They are just small things like, changing the toilet roll, putting dirty plates/cups in the sink, putting the post/newspaper on my table for me. They are just very small things but it shows what a thoughtful little boy he is and this makes me happy beyond belief.

My mini moment of happiness is when my 6 year old ds comes out of school and gives me one of his big wet soppy kisses! Also when my 11 month old dd strokes my face/arm and says "ahhhh" in her big loud shouty voice

Non mini-moment is when you spend all morning doing a family roast dinner to be met with "oh no mum" my best mini-moment is when they bounce in from school to beans, sausage & chips and I hear "wow thanks mum its my favourite"

Mini moment of happiness is when kids spontaneously tell me something they find interesting at school, like a history fact or something in maths, in a really enthusiastic voice.
They are 5 and 8 and these moments make me happy to see them grow and enjoy learning about the world around them.

I have just had a mini moment of happiness... a coronation chicken sandwich, courtesy of the reduced section in Asda.

A non-food one is waking up to quiet and being able to wake up slowly, as opposed to a meltdown happening in my ear as ds has woken too late to get a long go on the computer, or ds shouting at dd or, when they were smaller, the dreaded shout of "I have done a poo" coming from the bathroom.

My mini moment of happiness comes from how nonjudgmental little children can be. My 4 yo DS was with me in a changing room whilst I tried on a swimsuit. Unprompted he turned to me and said "you are beautiful naked mummy".

My best moment of mini-happiness came when DBH was away, DS was 9 and the 14' trampoline I had bought arrived the day before his birthday. I knew I was going to have to put it together myself. It took me six hours but I did it with just 10 mins to spare before the school run.

It was a long garden on a cold day, so he couldn't see it from the house and there was little risk of him going down there. I walked down with a glass of wine in the evening to admire my handiwork feeling shattered, but happy that I had got it done in time for him.

It was worth it, he loved it, and lived on it, under it and around it. I've never forgotten that quiet moment of happiness looking at it in the dusk with my glass of wine.

Mine is not child related . Coming out of the house early in the morning to leave for work travel, around 5am, a happy sigh ensues at the fresh air, millions of stars, and the sound of, well, nothing much. The odd sheep, or owl. It reminds me why we live here, and is a general sense of "all is right with the world"

When we go on an adventure (day out in the country) and stop to share a flask of tea, DC love it!

Walking in the sunshine - even winter sunshine, makes for a mini moment of happiness. And Dc can be made ecstatic by some chewing gum or a salmon and cream cheese bagel, apparently. But what I really love as a family is us all sitting there and reading different books and making the odd comments.

I was thinking of all my mini moments of happiness that didn't involve children. Then I read the replies and now feel a bit guilty.

My mini moment of happiness is when I find my 6 year old and 2 year old playing nicely together, because I only have a brother and I love that they love being sisters.

When my nephew gives me a hug.

Life is not always easy or fun but I think it's so important to appreciate all the little things in life that make you smile, those mini moments of happiness. For me these come from; dancing with my daughters, a chocolate bar, a good film, a relaxing bubble bath but most of all cuddles and giggles with my babies. They really are the light of my life!

My mini-moment of happiness is seeing my children taking delight in timeless childhood activities such as jumping in puddles, playing hide and seek or paddling in the sea. It reminds me that lots of things may have changed over the generations but that simple pleasures remain the same as when I or my mother or my grandmother were little.

When my 2 year old dd gets excited about something (seeing a squirrel in the garden, being handed a sticker book, hearing an ambulance siren) and turns to me with such a look of excitement saying "wow!". It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside that life is full of these small happy moments for her and that she wants to share them with me.

My mini moments of happiness, watching the DC playing together nicely and having a long soak in the bath undesturbed!

When my eldest is at school and my youngest is at nursery and I am not at work.. Supposed to be cleaning the house etc but always make sure I get 30 minutes 'me-time' with a HOT cuppa and a biscuit! Ahhh.... :)

It has to be smiles from my two and a half year old. Anything which makes him happy makes me happy. We went to a cafe today and he got so excited about choosing a treat. His smile made my day. ALso when he tells me he "just wants a cuddle Mummy." That is awesome.

Getting an unrequested cup of tea in bed from DC1. Makes me feel like I've really achieved something.

My DS is 6 and refuses to let me give him a kiss before school and battles with me not to have a goodnight kiss either. So, when he gets into my bed, snuggles right up, gives me a hug kiss and whispers 'I love you so much mummy' that is a real moment of happiness.

Also (if I can share two) when DS and DD (18 months) have a lovely cuddle together it makes my heart burst!!
