My mini moments of happiness are when my two children write me little notes and draw pictures. The latest one which they composed together was a picture of me with the message - 'you're the best Mum, love ......' It was so lovely and thoughtful and has pride of place on the fridge.

Waking up every morning and feeling my baby bump kick and move around in my tummy. Also ticking off each day until our rainbow baby gets here as we lost a baby in 2013. We so lucky. Only 2 weeks to go. So excited

LittleBallOfFur · 30/01/2015 15:42

When DS1 makes baby DS2 giggle.

When we sit down with hot chocolates and sweet treats after a cold, wet walk.

TigerSheep · 30/01/2015 15:44

My child's little arms around my neck. Just utter bliss.

My son bringing me a bowl of cereal up to my bedroom on mother's day. I couldn't have asked for more.

Perfect mini happiness moment.

When a smell unlocks a forgotten happy memory. Sometimes you catch a whiff of a perfume as someone walks and you are taken back to a moment, a feeling, a place in time you had forgotten about. For a second you are back it that moment and it's just a great feeling. There is one particular perfume that will always remind me of when my daughter was a newborn baby, and another that transports me back to my teenage self, sitting in my bedroom listening to music with my friends without a care in the world. That always makes me happy.

The look on DD's face when it started snowing....

VikingLady · 30/01/2015 22:10

My mini moment of happiness is whenever DD gets excited about something she's just spotted for the first time, that I'd have regarded as totally normal. Like this morning: she saw a mini rainbow on her bedroom door from the sun shining through her window. So much excitement!

miljones1 · 31/01/2015 07:14

My walks with the dog in the early morning have lots of mini happiness moments - seeing the sun rise, or the snow fall - it is a changing picture every day!

Patilla · 31/01/2015 09:11

Yesterday I needed to clear the foot and a half of snow that was sitting on our drive so the food delivery could come.

I let the kids watch some TV as a treat.

I was busy shovelling snow when I heard my toddler DD saying a cheery "hiya". She then proceeded to put on her little spotty boots and climb out to join me.

She patiently stood by me as I worked away and held out her hand for me each time we went to move.

It was so lovely that she just wanted to be near me.

my mini moments of happiness, when id just finsihed screaming at my 8year old for not helping me out round the house, and she comes to me 10mins later and gives me and hug and tells me shes sorry and loves me.mush mush

Notnowbernard · 31/01/2015 13:33

An uninterrupted bath. More recently, a HOT, uninterrupted bath (plumbing probs just been sorted)

I love my dc to death but they never let me bathe in peace!

walkingwebb · 31/01/2015 14:44

When I get a huge 'huggle' (as he calls a cuddle and hug)from my 12 year old boy, and when we find ourselves laughing hysterically at something stupid that we said or did. When a cup of tea appears on my bedside table when I am drying my hair courtesy of my wonderful husband.

janeyf1 · 31/01/2015 14:50

My mini-moment of happiness is when my mother tells me she is proud of me

gk6277 · 31/01/2015 14:53

I'll be brave and admit... When DD's are safely tucked up in bed and I get a moment's peace and quiet ..... Have lots of other lovely moments when they are awake too ! Crunching autumn leaves in the park... Walking along the beach jumping the waves.... School cookery lesson results... IOU notes they write for me too precious for me to redeem ...

My Mini moment of happiness was when my youngest son (aged about 7 at the time) heard me singing one day & said 'mummy your singing is lovely' :)

Mummageddon · 31/01/2015 14:55

Mine was when I told my 2yo son he was a cutie-pie and he responded
I'm not cutie-pie, I'm

He also finished his cereal this morning and declared "delicious!"

I love the little insights into the way he thinks Grin

badgermum · 31/01/2015 15:04

my mini-moment of happiness is a moment when my two boys and I are having a real laugh about something together

Rcollins91 · 31/01/2015 15:09

My mini moment of happiness is when my daughters play together copying one-anothers dance moves.

mrpeterhall · 31/01/2015 15:16

I work with Refugees and Asylum Seekers many of whom have little or no English. The smile that usually comes to their faces when I say hello in their own language [with a very working class South London accent] makes it all worthwhile................and that moment of happiness tends to stay with me all day

MissPoppins · 31/01/2015 15:20

Sitting round the dinner table, enjoying our evening meal, chatting about our days, no arguing, no bickering, just lovely food and nice chat. Sometimes brings a tear to my eye!

rachheap2014 · 31/01/2015 15:22

When my 2 year old goes into full singing and dancing queen whilst frozen is on

trueclaret85 · 31/01/2015 15:25

seeing my daughter laugh is always an incredible moment
