Little giggles coming from the living room

glenthebattleostrich · 28/01/2015 14:45

She I'm having my first cup of tea of the day and 4 year old DD sneaks up behind me and kisses my cheek then says good morning g favourite mummy.

GoldfishSpy · 28/01/2015 15:02

Bananas and custard, in particular, Ambrosia, as it was what we had when we were little. The taste is just the same and transports me back to my very happy childhood with just one spoonful :)

Signoritawhocansway · 28/01/2015 15:36

My mino moment of happiness is when I wake in the morning and realise I haven't been woken up by my toddler. Outsleeping him makes me start the day on the right foot!

Amybabygypsyqueen · 28/01/2015 15:46

My beautiful moment of happiness was sitting in bed with 3 day old DD eating ham sandwiches and watching Harry Potter. I have never felt so loved happy and complete.

nicsnac · 28/01/2015 17:43

While out having dinner with my 3 children, my 3 year old (who started kindergarten a week before) wrote H on his paper and said my name starts with H, before I could say anything my son(9) said what an amazing brother he had, followed by big sister(7) who hugged my 3 year old and said I am so happy I'm going to cry. One very proud and happy mummy with tears in her eyes.

I have lots of mini moments of happiness. Finding out we were having a baby when we weren't sure it was going to happen. And then everyday he does something that amazes me and makes me happy from giving kisses, seeing him learning, trying to brush his teeth or walk or use his spoon. That moment when you look at your partner and see he shares that feeling too. He has just started to give me spontaneous hugs and kisses, I can't even describe how it feels when he does that.

Yesterday I found out my best friend is pregnant and she's been trying for ages. I couldn't stop the cheshire cat grin.

But simple things like reading a good book or having a hot bath or both at the end of the day. And that moment when you first get into bed.

Moreshabbythanchic · 28/01/2015 20:48

A mini moment of hapiness for me was when we took DGD (3) to the beach. She needed a wee so I took her to the toilets, while we were in there she started singing baa baa black sheep, a little girl in the next toilet joined in and started singing too. Such a sweet and happy moment.

When DD 10m who is struggling with teething, crying all day every day for the last week still without a single tooth (allergic to most pain med's) is sat in her buggy in hysterics because mummy is in the neighbors hedge stinging nettle patch swearing as the ferret they were walking slipped his lead and is now swinging off mummy's finger as she wont let him climb up the gutter

A Fresh bed... It's the simple things in life.

HoHoHappyDays · 29/01/2015 08:51

Watching Top Gear with my 3 boys (hubby and sons)

amylauren1 · 29/01/2015 10:35

My little boy is desperately trying to talk so my mini momenta of happiness are usually being babbled at by him. Or snuggling first thing in the morning with my little one and my husband. Perfect.

Nouseforausername · 29/01/2015 12:56

ds (20m) actually coming over and giving me a little kiss. makes my day

iwantavuvezela · 29/01/2015 14:11

My mini-moment of happiness is walking with my daughter and simply holding her hand. I love the warmth from it, the way it fits into mine, and connects us as walk.

FMJ1000 · 29/01/2015 17:35

Every day is full of mini bursts of happiness when you have children.

Current favourite: hearing him say new words!

07oakeyJ · 29/01/2015 19:12

When my children mispronounce things but with the innocence only children possess, my daughter recently asked when I was need going dogging! She meant jogging!!

missorinoco · 29/01/2015 21:27

Mini moments of happiness for me - when the children wander up for a cuddle spontaneously, and a cup of tea in bed brought by my husband.

How do I bring happiness to my loved ones - a lie in or a run for my husband, and for the children - snowmen and sledging then a movie on snow day went down a treat today. It would be fair to say any sort of custard brings happiness to all family members in my house except me!

Nodney · 29/01/2015 21:32

My mini moment of happiness is when my 18 month old son clings around my neck when go in to feed him at 5am every morning. Or when my 3 year old son says "oh mummy I love your cold hands" as he kisses them. He's only just started speaking so it's very special!

taffetatee · 29/01/2015 22:15

Mama poo poo - magic words after 4 months of rather unsuccessful toilet training!!

Tusty · 29/01/2015 22:41

Mine was this morning, when I came downstairs and my just turned 4 year old son told me he'd made me breakfast. My heart fell when I wondered what state the place was in...but it wasn't too messy, no dropped food.

He showed me the table at my seat, and there was an extremely chunky raisin bread sandwich of butter and cheese. Now, I don't like raisin bread, but it was so sweet him making it all on his own. When I pointed out that I had something else ready for my breakfast, and that I wasn't keen on raisin bread, he just said 'but just try it mummy'. So cute, and really made me laugh.

Oh, and he topped it off by actually getting himself dressed (admittedly after I'd had to ask a few times, but he usually moans and doesn't do it).

elizaco · 30/01/2015 10:23

We're very lucky in that we live on a working farm, so our girls are growing up with the pleasure of open fields, animals and lots of fresh air - most of our "small pleasures" happen on the farm :-)

roggy45 · 30/01/2015 11:11

being a home ed mum one of my mini moments of happiness are when my children put an apostrophe in the right place or point out a sign with one missing.

spababe · 30/01/2015 11:14

cuddling my lad when he has just got out of the bath and is all snuggled up in his towel

suzieo1 · 30/01/2015 11:28

My mini-moment of happiness is my hubby smiling at me and telling me he loves me. I realise how lucky I am.

MadMonkeys · 30/01/2015 11:30

My mini moment of happiness - when DD waves at me across the swimming pool and mouths 'I love you Mommy' in her swimming lesson :)
