When one of my boys tells me they love me! Makes my day!

fluffyblueberry · 02/02/2015 12:05

Having a snuggle with my children before bed gives me happiness...making them lovely healthy dinners that they enjoy, fills me with happiness... getting up early in the morning when so many are still asleep and training for a race, makes me happy.... so many little things that all add up.

handbar · 02/02/2015 12:15

My mini moments are when the doorbell rings and I open it to see my grandchildren standing there.

confusedofengland · 02/02/2015 12:53

Hearing DS2 say 'I love you'. He is speech-delayed & possibly autistic so a year ago, when he was nearly 3, he couldn't talk at all Smile

Other mini-moments of happiness are snuggles from any of my 3 DSes, alone time with DH or alone time to study the course I've just started.

I have many mini-moments, but each one to me is huge. My DS is autistic, but surprises us every day with how he overcomes his problems. Over the past couple of years has gone from a quiet, introverted little boy, to a confident, happy little boy. Each day is a blessing and he has taught us so much, especially patience and how to see the world through his eyes, as it is a wonderful world if you look properly :-)

My mini moments of happiness are when something I do makes someone else happy - me and my children often like to do random acts of kindness, where we just do simple little things like leave change in a vending machine or leave kind notes and at Christmas time we take part in Operation Christmas Child where we send shoeboxes of gifts over for less fortunate children in countries such as Romania etc. I can't tell you the joy we get from making these children happy. Seeing my own children happy makes me the happiest, whether that's watching them play together in the park or seeing their faces when they receive a nice surprise for good behaviour :)

When my little girl comes and tells me she loves mommy, daddy and her brother matthew and gives me a cuddle.

Sammyislost · 02/02/2015 14:10

A few days before my son started school, we told him we had to do some boring driving chores, and he would have to come along with us. Imagine his face when we approached the gates of Legoland for the very first time! He was so happy that I actually welled up with joy! Even if we did have to tell a little lie, that surprise has stayed with him and he still talks about it now!

jacqroberts68 · 02/02/2015 15:04

I have a mini moment when the kids give me a hug when they come home from school. They are teenagers now.

fixuplooksharp · 02/02/2015 16:37

My boys doing something boyish and then collapsing in a fit of dirty laughter!!! So funny and the sound of those giggles makes me super happy!!!

pipersky · 02/02/2015 17:39

The small delight of getting through the morning routine and getting the children to school without once having to raise my voice or repeat an instruction. Even better if I don't forget anything ... bliss

littlemisstrivia · 02/02/2015 18:22

Cuddles with my baby girl and big boy

StickChildNumberTwo · 02/02/2015 19:01

DD cuddling up in my bed once DH has gone to work, and bringing through a pile of stories for us to read together. Far better start to the day than the chaos of work/nursery days!

chezvic · 02/02/2015 21:24

My mini moment of happiness is when my lg gets my shoes out of my wardrobe, puts a handbag over her arm and shouts 'bye' as though she's off to the shops. She's 2 next week on my 36th birthday.

ktandspen · 02/02/2015 21:26

Where does snow come from Mummy?

The clouds Darling..

So It's CLOUD POO??

pfcpompeysarah · 02/02/2015 21:28

My son telling me he got good spelling results or something good happened to him at school, chilling in front the tv watching a movie with my son armed with popcorn or pizza on a rainy day, and my son asking for cuddles, though not allowed kisses any more as its 'embarrassing' sad face, they grow so fast.

snare · 02/02/2015 21:43

I love sunday mornings when all the kids come in and have cuddles :)

redstararnie76 · 02/02/2015 21:47

mini moments of happiness; when my 4 year old son can tear himself away from his lego for long enough to give me a kiss; when my 9 year old daughter gives me a hug and a smile full of sunshine just because she feels like it; when the song 'New Shoes' (Paolo Nutini) plays and we all start dancing spontaneously - even my husband.

Anj123 · 02/02/2015 22:03

When my little girl looks at a meal I have made and tells me it's "beautifully presented"! She gets this from watching Junior Masterchef!

gemmygemgem · 02/02/2015 22:41

My mini moment of happiness is when I go to my little boys room every morning and he throws his arms around my neck tightly and tells me he loves me, it melts my heart every day, he so happy and chatty first thing in the morning, it's the best way to start your day Smile

Summergarden · 02/02/2015 22:45

Being told "I love you Mummy" by my 3 year old, gummy grins from my 8 month old.

A bunch of fresh tulips on the mantlepiece

A steaming mug of hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows on a cold day.

Minisoksmakehardwork · 03/02/2015 10:23

My mini-moment of happiness is taking those first steps in frsh, untrodden snow :)

Or when our 4 dc all try and snuggle up together on dh and I, burying themselves in their efforts to get comfy.

tintoys · 03/02/2015 18:19

The day the children stood up in front of their friends and parents at the school assembly and told them that they had been adopted the day before - there wasnt a dry eye in the house

KateOxford · 03/02/2015 21:51

My children's surprised faces when they saw it had snowed. The joy something so natural brings them is very special. It's as if it were something magic. I join in by being as enthusiastic as they are and sharing their feelings.

Pmliu · 03/02/2015 23:15

just had a baby last week, now I have 2 beautiful little princess
