Getting a phone call from my son on his way home from school." hows your day been dad?"

barbsbarbs · 31/01/2015 15:28

when my eldest son got into university to do theoretical physics

stewaris · 31/01/2015 15:28

When my ex dropped off my son and he came running towards me, threw his arms around my knees and said I was his favourite person in the whole world. Ahhh bliss to be loved so unconditionally.

Tzibeleh · 31/01/2015 15:46

I give my family mini-moments of happiness by occasionally tucking something unexpected into their overnight bags/school bags/lunch bags/blazer pockets etc. Like a little foil-wrapped chocolate heart, or the last slice of birthday cake, (or, in dd's case, Japanese rice crackers Grin) or a little note saying "Sleep tight, sweetheart."

When my 2 youngest children aged 2 and 1 cuddle each other. They sometimes fight over toys but seeing them have their cute moments of love makes every minute worth while and I hope when they grow up they will be as close as they are now

muppet150 · 31/01/2015 15:55

When my 4yr old randomly gives me a hug and kiss and tells me she loves me. Sometimes it can be at least 10 times a day. Doesn't matter how many times because each time makes me smile.

nhopkins90 · 31/01/2015 16:01

My other half puts little love notes in my packed lunch! SO cute.

castleton · 31/01/2015 16:05

Cuddling my first grandaughter for the first time

sscrase · 31/01/2015 16:06

Regularly the fact that my lad cannot wait to get into school, seeing him grab his bag from me and run into school happy as larry always makes me smile.

Oh and his face when he scored his first goal at football club was priceless.

when you wake up all tired and realise you have hours yet before morning and can go back to sleep (provided of course you do actually go back to sleep!)

Themilseys · 31/01/2015 16:32

My last mini moment of happiness came yesterday when my husband had to take an unexpected day off work and cleaned the house from top to bottom; I came in from work and he was already cooking tea for the kids too :-)

Seefooddiet · 31/01/2015 16:47

Mines not child related but my mini moment of happiness happens every day.

when I get in from work and take my bra off, no better feeling in the world!

maisiesnan · 31/01/2015 16:54

My mini moment of happiness is finding little notes left for me from my 4 year old granddaughter they all say the same thing
I love you nanan with a little picture of either the two of us or me with flowers and love hearts

mave · 31/01/2015 16:56

My children telling they love me unprompted!! Melts my heart!

SantasFavouriteHo · 31/01/2015 17:03

Seeing my two dc in a rare moment of loving each other, ds2 (18 months) is a bit off colour at the minute so was sitting all quiet and still watching cartoons (normally a tornado baby!) and ds1 sat next to him stroking his hair and then said to me "ds2 is adorable isn't he mummy?"

sillysammie · 31/01/2015 17:16

Ice Skating today with the family, watching my teenage daughter's face as she realised that a day out with the rest of us could be fun, seeing my other half laugh his head off as he found his inner child again and watching my 9 year olds joy as he found something he was better at than the rest of us!

staceyshoes · 31/01/2015 17:28

Coming in from work & getting a massive excited cuddle from my daughter, makes going to work that little bit easier knowing I'll come home to that. Also love watching my daughter & the dog playing together, I swear I have the best dog in the world he absolutely adores my daughter & she loves hims to bits!

catgav31 · 31/01/2015 17:57

Reading bedtime stories, when the kids give you a kiss and tell you they love you ????

Purpleflamingos · 31/01/2015 18:07

3:30pm on weekdays when my 3&5yr old run out of school/nursery.

Saturday mornings when my DH brings me a coffee up and I can stay in bed for a few minutes longer.

Playing board games with ds and simultaneously having a tea party with dd.

Dorual · 31/01/2015 18:29

One of my mini moments of happiness is when, after a bedtime story, my 3 year old daughter and I change her wooden calendar to reflect the right time, weather, date, and day. It's like our own little bonding time where we talk, laugh and learn together :)

shivbrown · 31/01/2015 19:25

When my child entered the world, the love i felt at that very moment was unreal x

compy99 · 31/01/2015 19:29

when my little 16 month old laughs in anticipation of me doing funny noises when looking at his animal board books, the moos do it every time! so simple, yet so heart-warming!

twinklenic · 31/01/2015 19:31

my mini moment of happiness is when my youngest who is 16 months comes up out of the blue to give me a kiss :)

randdom · 31/01/2015 19:41

Nearly every morning my 7 month old (who is still in our room in a co-sleeper) wakes up with my husbands alarm and sees him there. My husband misses bed time so my little boy hasn't seen him the night before. He just beams at him and gets really excited and claps his feet! (He can't clap his hands but his feet he can clap)

ElectroNymph · 31/01/2015 19:42

When I do well in an essay I always feel a moment of brief elation.
