My initial huge moment of happiness was being told I would never have children, then went on to have three gorgeous sons...naturally Smile They are my absolute universe & have often found little 'love letters' under my pillow or hidden around the house every now and then. That is happiness to me and what life is all about. Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

Cherryjellybean · 27/01/2015 08:17

Huge moment of happy ness is walking into the room and my 7 month old grins at me, in a way that lights up her whole face and crawls towards me.
When my 3 year old spontaneously gives me a hug and tells me that she loves me and that me dh and dd2 are her best friends.
When I get a chance to sit alone with dh on the sofa and chat.

Hellohellohowareyou · 27/01/2015 08:29

My mini moment of happiness is when my Son (22 months today!) rubs and kisses my stomach and says 'baby' - his little sister will be arriving in June! However he seems to think that daddy is having a baby too and he does the same to my husbands stomach!

TheHoneyBadger · 27/01/2015 08:46

i like the, 'the day is done', moment. no more i'm hungry or i need or can we do this now etc it's really done and dusted all needs met and disasters avoided or resolved and the day is tucked into bed and you can just relax Smile

My mini moments if happiness are different for each of my dc.
Ds1- when he wakes up and says his tummy isnt hurting yet and manages to try some food during the day. He suffers from a lot of gastric problems (was in a+e with him last week due to it) in fact just seeing him smile and knowing what hes been through makes my day too. He battled meningitis as a baby too
ds2- the moment he wakes up hes all over me and dh giving us lots of kisses and cuddles. He loves the custard pots so seeing him eat them with no fuss makes me smile too! He loves his little brother and is always kissing him and passing him toys, tries to feed him, gives him a blanket and will sit with him hes only 18months old!
Ds3 is a baby and his smile is enough to melt anyones heart!

LostMyBaubles · 27/01/2015 09:43

Should have also added getting through the day and not having ds1 have a meltdown or get confused makes me happy. He has autism along side all hos other problems which makes things quite hard for him

Maddaddam · 27/01/2015 09:46

For years when the dc were tiny I had a min-moment of happiness on arrival at work on a Monday morning. Calm and tranquil, decent cup of coffee, just me and the computer. Bliss.

3 dc all very lovely and all that but family life was just very intense.

My mini-moment of happiness is when 3-year-old DS brings me a book and asks me to read it to him, before positioning himself comfortably on my lap.

del2929 · 27/01/2015 11:09

my guilty mini moment of happiness is when the clock strikes 8.30pm and the darlings are in bed!

AnnieEdison · 27/01/2015 11:55

My mini-moment of happiness is walking with the family (DH, DS 5 and DD 3) on a beautiful day. It is just the four of us enjoying each others company and the views (and my children often choose to walk ahead holding hands).

Fillybuster · 27/01/2015 13:42

When dd2 comes running up to me when I get home, flings her arms around my neck and gives me all the kisses and cuddles 'she's been saving up for me all day'. No matter how hard a day I've had at the office, everything suddenly feels ok again.

marymanc · 27/01/2015 14:57

My moments of happiness? Certainly when my ds cuddles me and gives me kisses, when they get a special recognition certificate for something they have been good at in school. Also my peace when my DC are at school and I can relax and read a book or have a cup of coffee and browse the internet.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 27/01/2015 16:41

My mini moments of happiness include:
when DS (2) spontaneously says "I like you Mummy"!

when DD (4 months) smiles

when DH makes me a cup of tea without me asking!

when I get on the scales and they read slightly less than the time before! (trying to lose the excess baby fat!!!)

Smile

My mini moment of happiness is on a work night when the house is in some sort of order and both little boy and hubby are in bed. I have a cuppa and stare in space under a blanked. Wake up and repeat! Until Friday

Ren1974 · 27/01/2015 19:56

My kids make me happy every day and I especially love it when I am sat down reading or looking at something and they come to see what I am looking at and put their little arms over my neck and shoulder. So adorable and feel so loved :)

Cintacmrs123 · 27/01/2015 20:19

My happy moment is the after bath hairdrying. My lovely little girl loves the hot air on her face and she giggles continually.

InAndOfMyself · 27/01/2015 20:32

My 3 year old stopped me the other day as we were walking home because he wanted to watch the pretty pink sky; he definitely appreciates the small moments of joy.

HappySunflower · 27/01/2015 20:51

Small things that make me happy:

Waking up to my daughter's squidgy little arms wrapped around me, whilst snuggled up to me in bed in the mornings and her sleepy little face pressed up to mine. Priceless!

How I bring happiness to my loved ones:
Little surprises.... A little note left in a lunch box, a surprise 'yes' to going to the park when really I have a long list of jobs I should be doing, not chocolate and snuggles on the sofa in front of a family film on rainy days, to name but a few!

Lariflete · 27/01/2015 21:07

DD and DS running hand-in-hand up and down the kitchen giggling like maniacs.

DS (1) stroking DD's (3) hair when she is having a tantrum.

Finishing a class at the gym and being covered in sweat, aching like crazy but knowing I'd done really well.

My non-verbal DS with ASD watching Alphablocks on repeat loop, watching his brother make words with wooden letters and having a lightbulb moment. What followed was a happy but exhausting week of him spelling out words, over and over again :o

BreakingDad77 · 28/01/2015 11:27

When I think I can smell poo and actually the nappy is empty :)

No probably coming home and seeing my little man climbing off DW to come and see me.

foodie12345 · 28/01/2015 12:42

mini moments of happiness for me are those everyday new learning milestones my lo is achieving. It gives me immense pleasure to see her do the things the very first time

AndHarry · 28/01/2015 12:48

Last year, on DS' last day before starting school for the first time I took him on a treasure hunt in the local park. I'd prepared it the evening before and gone out with DH to hide the clues and the treasure (big bag of chocolate buttons!). I didn't think it had gone so well when we actually did it but DS still talks about it and asks to do it again and it makes me happy to think that we made such a nice memory for him.

sburton · 28/01/2015 13:46

I have a mini moment when my daughter (3) wakes me up in the morning with a big cuddle and a kiss and says "it's daytime time to get up".

My world wouldn't be the same without her
