DLA waiting times continue from thread 55

Hi, I’ve been silently watching and I wasn’t able to post on the previous thread!

scan date 12th of July NC

supposedly with DM today but never sure if that’s true or not!

I missed her call. Will have to wait until she calls back again. I have another meeting at 4 so hopefully will be before then. Wish me luck everyone. I feel like it’s a trick because I included a diary of our typical day and she’s asked me to describe it again, which I obviously can as we do it every day and have done for ages but I’m so nervous.

Finally got an update! Decision was overturned today from LRC to HRC 21 weeks into our MR! So thankful its done for now, good luck to everyone still waiting, you’ve got this!

Hello everyone! Scan date 3/7 new claim and I think I’m slowly losing my mind.

called today to have it escalated as that is what I was advised yesterday, first person was lovely and then was put through to someone who wasn’t to nice and just said you have been told it is with a DM and will receive a text (I havnt been told this at all)

so now I don’t know what to do. I don’t know wether to call later and see if I get through to someone nicer, just a bit lost and the wait is so long, especially when this is a new claim and not even a COC or MR where the wait is 25 weeks. My scan date has been and gone as far as I can see 🥴

I just spoke to a lady who told me mine had gone to DM today and my scan date is the 12th! I didn’t really take any notice though as I’ve seen others say the same thing and are still waiting for an answer two weeks later. She told me I will know by next week! Would have thought you had your answer now! How frustrating!

It really is frustrating, I was told last Monday it was with a dm but any time iv called since they havnt confirmed that and not once have I been told I would receive a text even after asking 🤦🏻‍♀️ i understood having to wait 20 weeks even tho 3/7 dates seemed to have been done last week yet I’m now over and told to just wait and that’s it

i think when you wait the full 20 weeks it then feels unbearable to wait anymore. I only called because I wanted to make sure they received all docs I sent! Mine will be one of the ones to go over too I’m sure, knowing them they will decide to ask the school for information right on 20 weeks! Fingers crossed that you hear soon!

8/7 and going insane. In my head I was hoping for a decision last Friday as seen lots of people being awarded around 18+5. Then at the weekend I was like right OK, surely I'll hear this week. And now I'm thinking it's going to be another long weekend waiting.

I rang this morning to see if they received new evidence.. she said mines with a DM? I’m week 15. But could be sat with a dm for weeks

Ok she’s going to make a decision today. I said can you text and said said no. Then she said she doesn’t know if the system automatically sends a message if you’re awarded as she’s quite new, then if you’re not awarded you don’t receive a text. And that was it. I won’t be able to ring at all either.

I think the texts are so random, my mum was awarded and never received a text at all

I got offered the text message today but I’ve hardly seen anyone say they got the text most people found out by receiving back payment first! Hopefully you find out asap!

I don't think it will be a trick, she's possibly wanting to see if it's changed or maybe she's undecided between rates? X

I asked for a text with my daughters claim but didn't get one. Apparently only some dm's can send them. Its the reason I keep calling them this time 🙈

Scan date 12/09. They told me middle of Jan but I’m expecting more end of Jan/beginning of Feb. But 10 weeks today, should be half way there! Getting there 😂

Argh I’m so stressed. 17 weeks and 2 days. I know they’ve made a decision so everyone cross their fingers for me. I’m hoping if it was a no they wouldn’t have bothered phoning at all…

Does anybody know if they always contact the school ? Or is it at random?

Hello! New to posting here, so I'm not 100% sure on the terminology. I assume scan date is the date in which they state they received the original paperwork? If so, then mine is 22/08. So I reckon going off others, we have another 7weeks or so to go.

Not sure if anyone has a child with a similar condition and wouldn't mind sharing their outcome. My son is almost 7month, he has spina bifida, Hydrocephalus (with a VP shunt) and Chiari II malformation. He has a neurogenic bladder and bowel and is on daily medication and catheterised 4 times per day.

I didn't even get a call or contact with the school or anyone and was awarded so don't worry too much about that x

Ring them up and find out your award it saved you stewing on what it is all night x
