Just found this thread again. Scan date 12/07. My son has been awarded HRC and LRM. I cried so much and so did my husband! It was such a relief and felt like we'd finally been listened to, especially after years of fighting with the school for even just the most basic accommodations for him. My husband can now officially be his carer and I'm so relieved I don't have to do this all on my own now as we have two disabled children and this wait has honestly made me ill. I'm so relieved. Sticking around and hoping you all receive good news soon!

Congratulations, I am so made up for you xx

NimbleQuail · 22/11/2024 09:13

🥳🥳

MR SD 23/7

Decline amended to MRC and HRM (no idea how we got HRM tbh). I could cry. Thank you so much for all the support and I hope everyone else gets the outcome their child deserves.

congratulations what a relief. I am awaiting MR outcome aswell. I am so made up for you. Goes to show the declines are so unjustified and we have to always keep fighting if we know what we are entitled to xx

Been looking out for this post for a while. So pleased for you and your family! ❤️ The relief is overwhelming when our time comes. Good luck to everyone still waiting

Congratulations to all the awards this morning 😃

Has anyone put in a complaint about the system? I'm going to once I get a decision. We all complain about its flaws on forums and fb groups, but unless people actually officially complain nothing will ever get done. My first point will be the outdated letters stating 15 weeks. Then there's the fact its not done in date order, and how many people are declined but then awarded at Mr, so clearly dm's are all working in their own way. And I think an online system would be so much better, where you can apply online and track all progress online, which would free up the phone lines as people wouldn't need to call to chase up where their claim is at. There's my Friday morning rant 🙈 I think everyone can agree though the wait and the lies the call handlers give us only add to the stress and anxiety we already are up to our eyeballs with while parenting sen children.

Anyway hopefully lots more awards today 🤞

s/d 12/07. They just rang me to ask a couple of questions and said it’s with a decision maker now. She said decision could be made today or could be made next week. I’ve only ever rang once since sent form off. But now I’m not sure weather to ring later this afternoon and see if any update as I know can be with the DM for a while x

I know, and me too. Still makes it hard while waiting for our decisions. Every morning I wonder whether to call them even though I know I’m going to hear the same story of you made your claim on this date, it’s taking 25 weeks you’ll receive a letter etc. I was feeling confident of the dates they were working on but now we know for sure 23/7 received a decision when they told me 24th June scan dates were being worked on.

Exactly don’t think they have a clue tbh. It’s actually 36 weeks since my original date, which is a joke🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m gonna call up shortly, see what they say today

ThisHangryOpalEagle · 22/11/2024 09:38

Carson2504 · 22/11/2024 08:53

Congrats. Same scan date. Did you get a txt or phone call? I am just riding it out another long weekend xx

They kept saying I would get a text but I never had one. I phoned and they put me through to someone who was able to tell me. I hope you find out soon! 😊

Hello all 👋
I'm new here but not to the process, although things were a lot quicker when my oldest daughters claim was done many years ago!

SD 26th July so at 17 weeks now
The wait is agonising, I constantly feel sick and anxious - which has certainly been an eye opener for a glimpse into how my youngest feels almost all day, everyday.

This thread has been a breath of fresh air to know that I'm not alone in this particular part of the journey, fingers crossed for some decisions today.

I've read of people mentioning a Facebook group, is there any particularly good ones?
X

I don’t know if there’s any other groups but I’m on 2

My scan date is 12/09 so i was at 10 weeks yesterday so im probably half way through and it really helps reading people’s posts and seeing where they’re at with decisions!

Chels2020 · 22/11/2024 08:35

🤣🤣 I love this I was gunna call at 9 but I’ve not been called to a meeting at school so I won’t be phoning today xx

So i called and spoke to someone, they said decisions are taking 20-25 weeks now 🥲

said should be with a decision maker by week 20 and then after that it can take up to 5 weeks to make a decision 😖

honestly I’m just so fed up now. Feeling deflated.

wont be calling again until 5th December which is where I’ll be 20 weeks.

good luck to everyone else waiting 🤞✨

Im not even gunna waste my time then! How can they now say that honestly dries me insane but this does explain why the gentleman told me last week not the phone back untill 13th December! Great looks like we’ve a long wait ahead then x

I know it’s really frustrating just tell us it’s 20-25 weeks from the start then and we all wouldn’t be an anxious mess from 15 weeks.

oh really that’s a bit cheeky of him😂😂

I like the idea of it being online. Most of us ringing are only interested to see where we are at. They could update the progress to let you know when something is scanned in, or whether it was with a decision maker. They could also include estimated time with DM based on recent submissions. Additionally, they could add a queue number so you could track your progress. It feels a bit archaic to be ringing about updates and waiting on letters. They are wasting resources and people's time.

Danleigh89 · 22/11/2024 10:02

When done the form was in last year at primary and asked if he was in his secondary school. Then I said is it with a DM and they said yeah should get an answer very soon but could take the full week til next Friday (20 weeks) or could be done today. They also do make decisions on weekends but obviously can’t ring to check xx

Ceb2018 · 22/11/2024 10:13

@Carson2504 it’s so hard to not want to ring when you get told it’s with a DM! I was told this yesterday and I’m trying to resist today but I really want to as I’ve seen scan dates of the 12 get their answers!

I know. Not really been that bothered but now I know it’s with a DM and a Friday, if I don’t call today then it’s a long weekend 😂 in my head it’s a decline anyways but still. Xx
