You really do begin to wonder what they spend out taxes on don't you? Crap education system when it comes to SENs, crap diagnostic services with long waiting lists and now another whole area of crap services, coutesy of the NHS.

The publically funded services in this country really need a good shake-up.

Scary articles about hearts to justify asking for urgent cardiology referral if one hasn't gone through already.

the addaction woman actually said to dd infront of me Well you have no job and nowhere to live so you beat go over the road and sort out some benefit.

for a start she has got a home and always will and the only reason she isn't working for me is she is too weak to sit on the bloody stool and obviously temptation of money would be stupid and cruel of me to even contemplate putting her there.

dd left upset and I gave her a hard look and she said well she isn't working and she is entitled. this was said just after dd said she needs somewhere now.

heart wise she has had a monitor fitted and the readings have been sent away and results not on yet. Her contrast MRI is next week for her brain. You know you might have something Maria maybe I could get a cardiologist on board x

pro plus are working btw the diazapam are lowering her function ability but with the pro plus it stopped the tears and the manic feeling and we are sat colouring in and able to talk her back up :)

No pipin they never did turn up. I rang that hospital and gave them hell though. DD actually sorted referral out herself last week.

Even when she atows out of the appointment today I thought she would storm away but she merely stormed outside and got back on phone to the ones dealing with es referral nd docs.

Thinking of you and your dd!

coff33pot · 13/09/2012 09:14

Thank you star x

yesterday was non eventful just ringing around and waiting for calls. psych nurse never did bother phoning or visiting. ED referral form never came in post and she spent all day waiting for
Mental health team to phone her back.

As that is coming from the same bloody building for CAMHS who I already flipped at the delays for ds re meds and ADHD I have told dd their secretaries are ceap and if it doesn't come in this mornings post mum is taking a car trip. Car had mot yesterday so we were stuck.

Despite that the glucose and pro plus are working together with the diazapam to keep her at a relaxed but logical level and we did have a nice evening together apart fr her havin a major headache.

I met up with fatbottomed yesterday morning for a couple hours and it was lovely. I got spoilt by her DS who gave me the longest cuddle ever, sang me a song and I am rather jealous of his raspberry blowing :) he certainly made my day brighter :)

Angry

It really is like everyone thinks if they can ignore and lie to you enough you'll just go away.

Do these people ever help ANYONE? If that's not true then what is it about those who are helped that gets them the help?

coff33pot · 13/09/2012 10:39

I won't go away I am going to stick like a fly to horse shit. Its the usual non communication between these so called Team of proffessionals that supposedly band together to help with eating disorders. Lack of funding and mixed with the fact that I care for my kids so they can't be desperate enough. Negative view I know x

What worries me and disgusts me is that they are forcing me to play chance with her health and mental well being.

On a good note a letter has arrived so I think the referral forms are here so it's a get them filled in and a trip in the car to take them back even if its Tim buck too!

StarlightMcKenzie · 13/09/2012 10:41

Photocopy them 6 times and submit them 5 times!

coff33pot · 13/09/2012 10:42

Daft thing is they know me well enough at CAMHS to know I won't go away quietly....

OP posts:
StarlightMcKenzie · 13/09/2012 10:45

I don't think they are 'actively' ignoring you. Just continuously passing you around hoping for you to be someone else's problem, someone else's budget.

WetAugust · 13/09/2012 18:04

Glad to hear things may finially be inchinf forwards.

I had more evidence of NHS crap today when I got home to find a letter waiting for me for a hospital appointment ...... at 10.30 this morning, which I obviously missed due to receiving letter after appointment date.

GRRRRRRR what is wrong with these people?

StarlightMcKenzie · 13/09/2012 18:09

I had one of those once Wet. It said your Ds has an MDA on 13th June. It was the 14th and I though 'feck'. I phoned them up cross to be told that it was in fact for the following year Hmm.

WetAugust · 13/09/2012 18:22

LOL Star! In our PCT the computers won't let you book a year ahead so every year, after my annual dermatology appointment I try to make an appointment for the following year the receptionist can't do it and has to send me a letter a few months later.

Crap innit?

StarlightMcKenzie · 13/09/2012 18:31

Well I shrieked at them anyway. Got it down to 6 months and then just went private. We already had a working Dx, but all services were suspended pending this stupid MDA. So £££ for someone to just say ' of course your Ds has autism, let me write it down for you!'

StarlightMcKenzie · 13/09/2012 18:32

Hope you sorted it out Wet.

And Coff, hope you survived the day.

coff33pot · 13/09/2012 18:46

haha! your next letter wet will be "we notice you failed to arrive at your designated appointment for......." " a new date of .....2012 has been made. If you fail to attend your name will be deleted from the list and you will have to go back to GP to reapply."

just forewarning you Grin

OP posts:
WetAugust · 13/09/2012 19:02

Oh I know Coff - I'm fully expecting that. What they won't be expecting is for me to have a full-on meltdown at them. I always find that very effective, especially if you do it in person on their premises. Grin

They probably don't think that some of us actauuly leave the house quire early in the morning to go to work! Shame I didn't take up GP's offer to sign mne off sick last week - at least I'd have been at home to get the bloody letter before the appointment. But with 55 days until retirement I was trying to preserve good sick record for post-redundancy job.
