Thanks Lefty. I believe somebody has to be mentioned first before we can tag.
Wilma55 · 20/12/2022 08:29
Thanks @LightandAiry for the new thread. Hope everyone has a good festive season and the scales are kind in 2023. Think my next weigh in is 7 Jan so plenty of time to do a LOT of damage.
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 10:48
Hi All. I'm weighing in on Thursday...not looking forward to it tbh! Better weigh than miss tho, for me, otherwise I'll just eat synny stuff all the way until then!
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 10:49
As my SW con says, "On plan, when you can" which sounds like a good goal.
Noshowlomo · 20/12/2022 10:50
I’ll be there. Joining again mid Jan. lost 2stone last year, just 4 more to go 🙈🙈
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 10:52
@everyone does anybody else remember After 8 mints being 1 syn, and not 2, as they are now?
LightandAiry · 20/12/2022 10:54
Hiya @SpongeBobJudgeyPants my app is going as well as it can this time of year; I'm off at lunch time and evening for festive catch ups with friends. I agree 'on plan when you can.'
LightandAiry · 20/12/2022 10:57
I have After Eights, Florentines and Heroes, Christmas Eve onwards I have no chance of staying on any plan!
I have always counted After Eights as 1 syn!
picklemewalnuts · 20/12/2022 11:04
Hello! I've not joined you before- I'm maintenance, though I'd dearly love to get to the bottom of my window, which has never happened!
So I'm half heartedly trying to lose half a stone.
Making Christmas edibles for gifts has sabotaged any hope I had!
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 11:18
High @picklemewalnuts . Florentines, @LightandAiry I luffs them! We have a small box waiting for Crimbo Eve if they live that long
LightandAiry · 20/12/2022 11:34
Hi @picklemewalnuts I'm glad my rubbish thread title attracted you; I seem to not be doing SW but an NHS app provided to try and reverse type 2 diabetes. It is similar to SW but count carbs not syns & portion control. Hopefully it will work for me.
I meant to specifically say maintainers as well.
@SpongeBobJudgeyPants me too love Florentines I once made my own, not posh but with melted down chocolate chips, walnuts and glace cherries🍒
picklemewalnuts · 20/12/2022 11:38
Ha! When I made my own florentines, delicious though they were, they were weirdly reminiscent of little puddles of sick. They didn't get a repeat! I'm not stylish enough for things like that!
LightandAiry · 20/12/2022 15:44
What Christmas edibles are you making @picklemewalnuts ?
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 16:06
I made SW Ferrero Roche with ryvita and nuttella. Surprisingly good!
picklemewalnuts · 20/12/2022 21:10
Mainly chocolate bark. I used to do candied peel and nuts, both dipped in chocolate. It's quite time consuming. This year I've done it as chocolate bark- melted bars of chocolate in a baking sheet, then sprinkle with various toppings. I've done candied orange peel and almonds, marshmallow and sprinkles (looked very festive).
Salted pretzels and chocolate was amazingly good. I've done a mix for DH of choc chips, pretzel bits, peanuts, mini marshmallows. It's amazing.
It's all amazing. I've eaten far too much of it 😂
PieonaBarm · 20/12/2022 23:14
Hello everyone, first weigh in tomorrow so nil by mouth from 12pm 🤣 cheeky weigh in this morning showed a loss, but tbh I'd be happy with a gain because it would be less of a gain than if I'd not joined last week! I have been on it 5 days out of 7 though.
@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I'd still count an after eight as 1, just like I still use Philadelphia as a HEA sometimes. And I HATE frylight 🤣
SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/12/2022 23:18
Sounds like a plan @PieonaBarm . Fingers crossed for tomorrow!
