I've not started on the After Eights yet @SpongeBobJudgeyPants....anyway I weighed on today and lost 1lb. Somehow!
I've made a tiramisu and chestnut cheesecake. Next weigh in will be 7th January.
Have a peaceful Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year 🎉

Happy Christmas to you all!
hope you dont mind me joining you. I did SW years ago, and did well but slow. I rejoined with the past member deal back in November and am just shy of the 1st stone, however, have really gone off the rails today. basically eating for the sake of it and my stomach feels very bloated now. However tomorow is a new day. My weigh in days are wednesday so we are not having a week off, need to limit the damage now. Hope everyone is managing well over the holiday. What made you all rejoin/join agai? mine is that I used to run, but then had a bit of a cardio event that means I am not allowed to anymore, and bam.. 2 stone on in less than a year! I need to sort this out. But not sure if anyone is similar but i only loose a lb usually a week.

Planning on rejoining asap, just wondering if those of you that have a current login can answer a question for me please?
I found out a couple of years ago I have an odd autoimmune disease and am ‘allergic’ to a really long list of foods, including most fruit, tomatoes, spinach.
it’s really depressing reading soooo many recipes that I spot ingredients I can’t have, ok, sometimes I do a swap but it’s just not helpful. I was a member a couple of years ago, twice, lost lots both times, but now when I look at a recipe book of say 40 recipes I might find two I can have.
is there the ability to put in food items you can’t eat in the recipe search section does anyone know?

Not quite sure if I know what you mean but ..... lets says I can't eat carrots then I typed carrots in the recipe and all it came up with was all the recipes with carrots in them like carrot and coriander soup, carrot cake etc. Just all full recipes with the food included in them.

I'm weigh in tomorrow and I'm going, I'm not at target at all and going will make me get back on it for the rest of the week bar New Year's Day night (working until 6pm NYE and in at 8am NYD). I will have gained but it won't be as much as if I leave it until next week.

That’s what I thought would happen. I was wondering if somewhere in the settings you can specify food items you don’t want included and only bring up recipes without say carrots.
I’ll give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say, thanks for looking.

I didn't weigh in this am, but DM did and lost half a pound! I'm not sure how, as she's been indulging quite extravagantly! I do cook healthy food though, it's the Christmas treats that will have done the damage for me.
It was lovely to check in with my SW buddies this morning.
pappajonessecretchild · 28/12/2022 15:56
i had just half a pound gain today at weigh in, which is pretty good considering. I also did the 6wk countdown to get the free book, only about 6 people stayed, and out of everyone who came in weighed and went, only one lost weight but she had been poorly! i might try a couple of sp days this week, but am very unimaginative with meals. good luck to all weighing in this week, it must be the hardest week. looking forward to new year, fresh mind set!
PieonaBarm · 28/12/2022 17:18
Showed up at slimming world tonight, I knew it wasn’t going to be bad as I don’t feel bloated but lost 2.5lb and got my half stone. I’m one of those weirdos that looses over Christmas 😂
To put it into perspective yesterday I ate
Cheese and tomato on toast
Key lime pie and double cream
2 Turkey sandwich with coleslaw
3 packets of seabrooks crisps
3 Yorkshire puddings
The leftover roast potato’s and parsnips with gravy and mint sauce
Copious quality street
A Tesco double chocolate mini roll

Hi all, hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas.
Was all psyched up to be good after Christmas blowout. Went to weigh in at usual time yesterday, no one there. They had held it in the morning! Going to fine it difficult to stay on track now.
Can you go to another group nearby tomorrow or Saturday to keep you on track?
LightandAiry · 28/12/2022 19:09
I am back from 2 nights away; lots of lovely food and drink, and I feel bloated, especially as we've come home to a fridge full of cheese etc etc. I am not weighing in again until 7th January.
I am going ultra healthy for the next couple of days....then it's new year.
@PieonaBarm well done on 2.5lb loss. I enjoyed reading your food list!
@pappajonessecretchild 1/2lb gain is a result, I would hate to weigh in at the moment well done.
@Pebbledashery welcome back
@Excitedannie welcome of course you can join
@Allergyslimmer hope you got some help with your query?
OneMoreWish · 29/12/2022 00:10
Hello May I join?
I joined sw on 24 th November and over five weeks I've lost 17 and half pound. I'm pretty chuffed so far but have a target of six stone so quite a way to go!
I have my weigh in tomorrow and hoping for a loss.
Could I ask a question though; with my weight loss I've had a half stone sticker but no certificate and when I lost my stone last week I didn't get a sticker or certificate, the lady said she didn't have any stickers and to remind her next week but didn't mention the certificates. I was really looking forward to getting the certificates and putting them up to keep me motivated - do they not issue them in all clubs?
My meeting is quite clicky and I can't decide whether to move to another meeting with a different leader but I don't know if it will be different and I also feel bad moving/ not sure how easy it is- any advice? Thank you xx
Dahliasrule · 29/12/2022 00:16
@PieonaBarm , I live in a village so the other meetings are quite far away.
I am very impressed with your loss. I think you must have been very active over Christmas.
Well done, @OneMoreWish , for your total loss. That’s brilliant. Hope there are some stickers for you next week.
