a nice long walk will def help, well done on 5 miles chocolate candle!
I know what you mean Delta, my first mini goal is to feel the clothes i am squeezing into fit properley before then thinking about the size down. I am fooling no one by thinking i fit this size.
I have found this week trickier than christmas week as everything is open, and the casual approach to food is coming back. last wednesday was a half pound gain which was lucky. I realistically know this wednesday will be probably a 2lb gain.
keep going everyone, baby steps...

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I don't see why you shouldn't be able to freeze Brandy Butter if Tiramisu can be frozen. The birds round your way would be lucky!

Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday everyone.

Wrap the brandy butter in clingfilm making it sausage shape then freeze. I take it out when it is just starting to freeze and portion it then rewrap and freeze. Do this to make Kiev (without the brandy).

Another 5 mile walk this morning but I'm also finding all the open things difficult. Back to work on Wednesday so hoping to be stricter then. Still hoping for a small loss when I weigh in...

Thanks @LightandAiry and @Carpediem15 . I'm a bit confused Carp. Sausage shape, freeze, take out part frozen and refreeze? What is the re freeze for? Have you changed the shape from a sausage shape prior to 2nd freeze? Tis early in the morning, and can't sleep. Daren't have coffee! Grin @LightandAiry I see the sponsoring is coming along for your walking!

oh yay a thread for people who don't think sw is the work of the devil! i have just re-joined online after 3 years of not doing it! had a rather nasty shock that I'm pushing 18 stone! Starting today! I'm having smoked salmon and eggs for breakfast, beef and veggie noodles and 5% beef meatballs with veg and pasta for dinner. have oranges if i need a snack! my hifi bars for dessert (they are the best bit of sw 😂) and lots of water! I need to do it this time i cant believe i have let myself go this badly I'm really disappointed in myself.

Re the butter - just put it in ice tray portions. 😄I roll it and freeze a bit so it is easy to cut then put it back in the freezer until I want a portion.
This is the only forum that doesn't think SW is the work of the devil and that we eat proper food and not live on Muller Lights and Snack pot stuff. Enjoy your first day back (and the rest of them).

Welcome @mickandrorty I lost 1.5 stone with SW, definitely angelic! Although after Christmas weigh in it's only 1 stone 1.5 lb. I did gain a little before Christmas.I agree re the water, it fills me up.

I've had to make a few tweaks because I am pre-diabetic, so I restrict fruit and carbs which works for me, but what you're doing sounds as if it will be successful. What do you like to have for syns?

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants yes it's coming along. That brandy butter won't go out for the birds then. I had some trouble with my fundraising page, two family members can't work the link, which is a pain.

If anyone is in interested the charity Refuge are offering a walking challenge in February - 2 miles per day. Raise whatever sponsorship you can.

I had a shock when I put on a pair of jeans after Christmas - just after a week it was a struggle to get the waist done up!

Can anyone critique my first few days? Not starting properly until 8 Jan but trying to get into the swing of things eg not measuring milk etc yet

Yesterday....
1 Weetabix and a sprinkle of raisins. (Half a hex b)

Latte as per username 😉 and a sw bar for other hex b.

Our for lunch and really wanted a big fat panini and chips but instead I had jacket and beans with a side salad no dressing.

Dinner was tacos so low fat pork mince and I think it was all free eg veg and beans apart from a sachet of salsa but that was between 3 and I had 2 tacos for 7 syns.

Today...

Same as yesterday for breakfast of Weetabix

Lunch will be 2 heck chicken sausages 1 syn each, mushrooms and a poached egg.

Dinner planning the taco mix from yesterday but making it into a sort of Bolognese. Got a jar of tomato sauce to use up unsure if syns. With spaghetti and salad.

Fruit to snack on during the day.

Am I roughly on the right track.

Thanks for this thread.

Sneaking in quietly. I spent the last third of last year comfort eating and generally wallowing in self pity. Life has been full throttle and I've used it as an excuse to really beat up my body.

Weighed in this morning - was not a nice surprise! So coming back to what I know works best for me. I have a target of 1lb a week, starting from today. Hoping you guys will keep me focused!

HNY everyone xx

Just went to weigh in. Quite pleased the gain seems manageable, but confused as to the figures. I thought I had put on 1.5 lb from the readout at the weigh machine. Weighperson said computer was showing only a half pound gain when I queried what he had written.
Has this happened to anyone else?

First day at work today after the Christmas break, I'm walking to my yoga class for 6.30 as my job is sitting behind a PC, I've had a good day so far. How is everybody doing?

Right, I've been awol but I'm back on track! I ve spent the last two weeks eating everything I don't normally have. As a result I've put on about 7lbs (not been for a weigh in yet).

So today I've planned the week's food, and eaten only fish sticks so far. Healthy tea in the oven- a biryani.

I've soup lined up tomorrow. I'm sticking to speed and protein for a week.
