@MissRabbitIsExhausted yes it me, well done you! So I completely fell off the wagon and slowly disappeared from the thread with shame! I was doing slimming world online and found thy hard not to cheat myself so first group meeting was Monday I'm praying for miracles x

The soya latte might not be as bad if you had not used your milk allowance for day . I occasionally have a skinny cappuccino on a Saturday and don't count it and don't use milk all day then .
Try to have speed at every meal . I find spinach or rocket or a slice of melon the best .

Hi everyone, happy Friday!
I have had my induction, it was quite fast pace so will probably take a while to get my head around but will do my best. Have set a target of 10% weight loss, although not quite clear to me what timeframe I am supposed to achieve that.
Have prepared my first SW lunch and I think it is free, but not 100% sure. It was this:
- cooked pasta
- onion, garlic , red pepper, baby corn fried on oil spray
- edamame beans
- 1 tablespoon of zero fat Greek yoghurt
It was delicious, so I hope it complies with the rules. My doubt is with the oil spray, I used 4 sprays to cover the pan, maybe that is too much.

Thank you! It was indeed Fry Lite, so yay! Paid £2.50 for it in the corner shop as I didn't want to wait until my grocery delivery next week, but saw it would have only been £1.50 from Tesco. Oh well... It is a bit silly to start at the weekend when I will have to cook family meals, but feel like the oil spray will help me prepare things which will be within the syn guidance. Then will do a big shop next week to stock up on free stuff. Thinking of jollof rice and pasta with roasted courgette and peppers for the weekend, I think both would work.
Do people have favourite family-friendly favourite meals?
DAC21 · 11/09/2020 14:56
@InfiniteSheldon Love your username! :) Thank you for the tip, I feel like I will probably end up eating a lot of pasta for lunches when I am home alone.
I am a bit confused with the food diary, thought we would write down each meal we have had, but it looks more like I need to examine each component and put them down in the different boxes, is that right? I was hoping for a syn-free first day, but for dinner will have leftover from yesterday and it has single cream in it. I thought I could count it as HealthyA, but it doesn't look like. :(

Happy Friday everyone!
Is anyone's scanner working on their app yet?
Today I've had/ having:
Breakfast: weetabix & milk (a & b)
Lunch: ham salad (lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, onion, picked onions, cucumber) free
Dinner: chicken with tomatoes, courgettes, peppers, onions with Coleman's Mediterranean seasoning (2.5 for half the packet), mozzarella cheese (a), potatoes
Snacks: banana, apple & strawberries
Feel like it's a good day for speed and free foods, I'm never usually this good 😂

@MissRabbitIsExhausted my app is working but hardly anything is on it . Imo
Today was another good day . Getting some good food ideas here too . 9.5 syns and all so tempted to eat before bed but holding firm .
Dinner was chicken stirfry with rice . Very tasty . Used honey but 2.5 syns for the whole recipe so not too bad .
If I can get over eeekend now I be happy .
Sounds like everyone is doing ok 👍
WhoUsedMyName · 12/09/2020 08:56
Moaning about 4.5 syns was still in London at 10 last night and hubby grabbed us a kebab chicken shish I had but it was covered in mayo and I didn't resist, im guessing around 30 syns.
You used to be able to save your syns so I'm hoping the theory will still work if I go hard today and tomoz should weigh out the naughty for Monday I will let you all know how I go .
ListenLinda · 14/09/2020 08:06
It’s blumming period week for me, 4 days until weigh in and already dreading it!
But i’m going to stick to plan 100% for the next 4 days and hopefully something comes off.
@DAC21 yes you need to break your meals down into components rather than just writing ‘spag bol’, in the speed part do your onions etc and free food mince etc. It’s enlightening to write it all down!
DAC21 · 14/09/2020 11:12
Good morning everyone! How did you do at the weekend? I managed a syn-free day yesterday just by chance, but not sure if this is even something to aspire to? I wonder if doing too many of these would backfire and send me into a snacking frenzy. My problem is moderation, so it is easier for me not to have any cheese or biscuits rather than limit them.
@ListenLinda Thank you, I am now getting used to taking my meals apart into components and writing it all down like that. Feel a bit silly writing onion and garlic all the time, but most of my cooked meals start with that.
Can I just ask how strict people are about the Healthy A and B choices? I am at the very start of this all, so sticking to the book by the letter, but was very frustrated recording single cream as a syn when I didn't have any Healthy As that day. I checked and the fat content in the amount of single cream I had was significantly lower than what would be in 2x200ml whole milk, which I understand could be considered my Healthy As for the day. Do people do these sort of swaps or do you fully stick to the plan?
MissRabbitIsExhausted · 14/09/2020 11:31
I didn't have a great weekend, so I stayed the same today. Not overly upset as I know it's my own fault, today is a new day
I stick to my a & b choices, I understand the frustration but there's got to be a reason that it's not on the list, so I would syn the cream instead.
