Anyone wanting to join this week?! (Starting 19th June)

I thought it might be nice to start a thread for those wanting to start sometime this week. I'm going to join online but might go to occasional group too. I've just weighed myself at a family members home and I'm 11 stone 2 1/2. I will be back here in 2 weeks so I plan to see how much I can kick start between now and then. I will actually arrive on the Friday of that weekend so from tomorrow that will be 12 days in to plan. If anyone would like to join, please let me know. I'm a total newbie. I will probably just vent about how my day has gone and what I've eaten / planned to eat. Please feel free to share any yummy meals.

4 off for today. Really pleased with that! I know it won't always be that many but have been surprised how manageable it has been with a little baby. I think husband is enjoying different food too!

Just got in from my first wi. I've lost 5.5 lb! Shock stunned. 13 lb left until goal.

Ok I've weighed in for the first time 12st 7😫 Ideally love to be 10st7 as I'm only 5'5! I think I understand the plan but was wondering how much pasta and rice equates a portion?? I'll be cooking my own meals late in the evening when I'm back from work. i don't want to cook too much and scoff the lot.

Bungleboggs I do what it say on the packet! 75g of both I think? For speed I generally just do a mug of pasta

Not great day yesterday as ate a packet of tangfastic and two slices of white toast with butter! However, am in bed with horrible virus and had to get my mum over to look after the toddler for me so although it's not great it was all I ate yesterday.

No weigh in on Tuesday as group was cancelled (can't remember if I posted that) so hopefully will see 5lb off on Tuesday over the two weeks

Aw thanks b1rd! That's the first ever compliment I've received on my username Grin

Great losses all!! Get well soon iheart.

I've got a dinner tonight which is going to be boozy. Thinking of sticking to g and t and alternating those with plain tonic. Have had no syns today, saving them for this eve! I've exercised a lot this week so hoping it all evens out....

Can I ask what people tend to use for hex a and b? So far I've done porridge/cereal and milk but thinking I should mix it up a bit! Don't want to get Stuck in a rut

I'm breastfeeding so am allowed more.

I have dairylea / babybels sometimes. Babybel & grapes is a lovely treat and you're allowed quite a few light ones. Hifi bars for a treat too.

Well done everyone! Some great results. Only now managing to catch up. Been away with work (still am axtually) so plan has been a bit up and down. I am weighing in tomorrow (it will have been 2 weeks since first weigh in) I'm not expecting much as I've failed a few days 🙁 am home tomorrow eve though and going to order a food delivery so hoping that by planning each meal next week that I'm less likely to fail. Here's hoping!

I tried a baked oats thing today, liked it: 40g oats, 175g fat free fromage frais or 1 muller light yog, 2 eggs, 100g fruit (recipe said blueberries, I used peaches), sweetener if you want. Bake 35-40mins at approx 175. It was considerably improved by 2tsp maple syrup when cooked, but I reckon it might not need that if I'd used the sweetener or a muller light. It's zero syns without maple syrup, if you have the oats as hex b, and was big enough to split into 2 portions.

I often use 30g grated cheese (cheddar or Parmesan) as my hex a, to liven up salads or pasta.

Thanks for sharing the baked oats thing. That sounds great. I will give it a go sometime.
So I've just weighed. I'm 11 stone and half a pound. So I've lost 2 pounds over the 2 weeks. Not the best but still a loss I guess. And with travelling for work I've not made the best choices. It's given me some motivation to at least try harder this week. It's all about meal planning and also planning in time during the week to pop to the shop to get fresh salad leaves and fruit etc..

Thanks for the oat recipe b1rd. I'm just not sure what I'd eat for breakfast if I didn't have porridge! Guess I could do eggs and beans one day or something.

Well done Yukbuck - that's great to lose when travelling and having long hours!

I'm a massive overnight oats fan. Soooo filling and tasty :)

Had a big no scales victory today- I'm wearing my pre pregnancy jeans! Nowhere near my pre pregnancy weight (I guess my body shape must have changed massively) bug so nice to wear proper jeans!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. What's for dinner? We're having oven omelettes Smile

I've just had a sneak at scales and down 2 lbs since Friday! I think it could be the fact I've not had my normal 2bottles of wine over the course of the weekend? That and the giant bags of m&s party crisps mix.

Well done guys! •Yukbuck* it's so hard when you're not at home treat that 2lb loss as a victory!

Bungleboggs that's excellent! I wish I could say the same about the wine. I did really well the first week, but this weekend the glasses of fizz have snuck back in. It definitely makes a difference and increases that feeling of bloat. Not good.

voobylooby getting into jeans that didn't used to fit is a major win! Jeans that don't fit are so unforgiving - well done!!

Just written up a meal plan for the week. I know I've got a busy weekend so need to make the right decisions up to Friday and then try to keep up the good work beyond!

voobylooby that's fantastic! Well done.

And yay bungle that's also great! It's hard changing some habits isn't it? But I guess introducing new ones can be exciting too.

elf good idea. I ended up not going a food delivery because they couldn't deliver last night in the end. So I need to go shopping. I've had a banana, alpen light bar and an orange so far today. And a cup of tea! Not sure about lunch yet as I didn't have time to plan and I'm at work but will knock something up! Then dinner I have no idea!!! I have loads of eggs in but no veg. Maybe I can quickly run to the shop after work to buy stuff to make an omelette!
