I thought it might be nice to start a thread for those wanting to start sometime this week. I'm going to join online but might go to occasional group too. I've just weighed myself at a family members home and I'm 11 stone 2 1/2. I will be back here in 2 weeks so I plan to see how much I can kick start between now and then. I will actually arrive on the Friday of that weekend so from tomorrow that will be 12 days in to plan. If anyone would like to join, please let me know. I'm a total newbie. I will probably just vent about how my day has gone and what I've eaten / planned to eat. Please feel free to share any yummy meals.

You are right!

I won't let a teething baby and potty training toddler get in my way!!!!

...top now (clucking tablet, sorry!) You can so do this!! I have found it such tough going and only this week is my head really back in it. One day at a time.

You've kept this going more than 6 months, which is fantastic. Think how you would feel if you had to start all over again in a few months - eurgh. And how about how amazing you're going to feel when you reach your goal? It's going to be worth it.

I tried a few of the meals when our kitchen was out of action. The Thai curry one was rank! The meatballs one was ok though.

Well done! I had the SW ready meal lasagne today as I'd heard it was much better than other SW meals. It was OK, something easy and hot for lunch that wasn't soup anyway Grin

Here's to a slimmer 2018!

I lost 3.5 on Tuesday so that's my xmas weight gone so I'm very happy!

I'm buying a new countdown next week for 12 weeks, I think I'll need a bit longer to get to target though.

Have you had anything particularly yummy this week? I made Eaton mess with quark, merengue nests and berries, it was delicious.

I lost a pound - but only due to ten days of antibiotics over Christmas, not something I'd repeat! Has been a rocky hormonal week since though, have got scales to face on Monday and will just have to accept whatever the number is and move on Grin

Sounds like you did great over Christmas - that's an excellent number to end the year on. I like your next target. I haven't got a timeframe on mine but maybe I will do that. Since I do absolutely no exercise, I'm thinking about how to build in more walking too...

@B1rdonawire how did you do over Christmas?

I put on 3.5lb so I've lost 2st 8.5 lb in six months. It's the first time I've put weight on since I joined so I'm happy with it.

I want to lose another 18lb before I'm back at work in early March to get down to 13 stone which will be the lightest I've been for about 4 or 5 years.

That's good going! I have had tonight off (DD brought home first ever cooking from school - apple crumble - it was gorgeous, and DD was thrilled and proud to see us all eat it). Sat and Mon won't be saintly but shouldn't be disastrous; other than that, attempting to stay on track as it only gets harder if I de-rail Grin

I lost 1.5lb so pretty much what I put on last week. 2lb to 3 stone but not at class next week so hopefully I'll get that 1st week in Jan as I've got no other bad days planned (except for xmas day and Boxing Day)

I think 2 more as well - initial target for the year from GP was 4 total, but there would be real health benefits if I could get to 5 and maintain...

Everything crossed for you tomorrow!

That is great @B1rdonawire! Well done!

I weigh in tomorrow, was at 2st 11.5lb last week so hopefully will also get my 3 stone award but had 3 xmas meals out this week so not holding my breath!

If I can maintain over xmas I'll be very happy. Going to be good all this week.

How much more do you want to lose? I want to lose another stone before I'm back to work at the beginning of March and probably another stone after that too.

Bumping this old thread as it's 6 months since we all started Smile
How's everyone?

It's been tough going for the last 3-4 weeks, but I got my 3 stone award today! Now hoping to be moderate over Christmas and at least "not gain" before carrying on. What are your plans?

How are you getting on @B1rdonawire ?
I lost 4lb this week! Got my 2.5 stone award and only 4.5lb to 3 stone so with a bit of focus I’ll get my 3 stone sticker for Christmas.

The choc shots were reduced in Aldi, I got the coconut one too

That sounds yummy, must try that! Well done on your 2 stone!!!!!

Ooooh that breakfast sounds lovely and any loss is still a loss so we’ll done.

I made black forest baked oats this morning. Frozen cherries and choc shot with some cherry skyr to serve with, it was 1.5 syns too.

I hear you on the broken nights, DS1 had croup the other week and DS2 had decided life is too interesting to concentrate on feeding during the day so he’ll do it at night instead

On a positive note I lost the 1.5lb so got my two stone award. Going to get silver body magic next week too so that’s good.

I forgot about measurements, I’ll do them today and see how I’ve got on. I finally feel slimmer now though and I can get into a pair of size 14 jeans. They are from Simply Be but still!

Just hope when I lose the final two stone my c section pouch vanishes!

1lb off this week, so the march towards the next half-stone mark is more of a crawl! Proof if I needed it that weight loss slows when sleep disappears 5 very broken nights on the bounce, thanks DD
Cheered myself by taking some measurements though - in 18 weeks I've lost 8 inches from my waist yay!!

Did the kingsmill no crust bread, soaked in egg and fried in fry-light/natvia/cinnamon, with strawberries and choc shot, for breakfast - no matter how the scales go, I like something that feels like a treat on weigh day, and this was only 1.5 syns.

How has your week been @IheartCaptainHolt ?

Snap! 2lbs off today too - back in the game Grin

2lb off this week so only 1.5lb to my two stone award. I will get that next week.

The running is not fun but it’s working.

Get the book next week, it’s a comfort food book, had a look at it in group and it looks good.

oo well done I am in awe of the running. I went for a walk last night using one of my precious babysitter evenings - but DD woke up and I had to dash back. Ah well.

I'm doing online so don't get countdown stuff - I have paid up to Christmas though to motivate me. Anything good in the cookbook?

Report
IheartCaptainHolt · 11/10/2017 13:44

The holiday was great, thank you. I ate loads of crap but ran everyday so lost half a pound which I was pleased with!

I know what you mean about motivation. 3.5 lbs to my two stone award which is great in 14 weeks. But on the other hand it feels like it’s taking forever and sometimes I can’t be arsed!

Think that’s mostly because DS2 is starting to teeth so I’m knackered.

Bought another 12 week countdown this week so I get a free recipe book which is good.

Onwards and upwards (but downwards on the scales!) to Christmas.

B1rdonawire · 11/10/2017 11:00

Did you have a good holiday? (I typed that as "food holiday" initially...)

1lb off for me today, which is fine, but I know I have not been as good as I wanted to be. This is getting daft, why do I self-sabotage for the few weeks after passing a milestone? Someone sort me out!

Right off to look under the sofa for where my motivation might be hiding...
