There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today
B......fruit/tea with sk milk
L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

Hey Calzone

I've been a SW member for 12 weeks now, started at 18st 1lb now 15 stone 11lbs, target is 12st.

Today's been awful, had a huge bagel from town filled with beef and slaw! Deffo over my syns today so will be super strict until next WI and will probably have no syns tomorrow just to make myself feel better about today ;)

Today was...

B: Over night porridge with satsuma mixed in plus an extra satsuma to have after
L: The naughty bagel and an apple
D: 2 egg omlette with sliced ham and plum tomatoes. Glass of milk (H-A)

xXx

calzone · 11/01/2015 18:55

Dolly....amazing weightloss! Well done. ThanksThanks

DH made a platter of chicken shwarma, salad, flatbreads (none for me), baba ganoush, tomatoes with onion and parsley.

Syn free apart from the tahini paste. SmileSmile

((Forget the bagel now))

Thanks hopefully can keep it up and off, i'm very lucky and have a fantastic group.

Well done on the dry Jan, will give your weight loss a fab boost xXx

SheHasAWildHeart · 11/01/2015 19:14

Not weighing myself cos it demotivated me, instead I am just going to go by how I feel and if my trousers feel looser!

This is what I've planned for tomorrow:
Breakfast: wholemeal bread (HE) with egg
Lunch: pesto pasta with salad
Snacks: carrot and houmous, dairylea (HE)
Dinner: salad followed by a banana and handful of grapes
Syns: am sure some of the above has syns!

What I've found really helps is making sure meals are planned and ready so I don't start eating silly or getting takeaway. I've made up the pasta and salad already, put the carrots and houmous in a lunch box to take to work etc. less likely to go to canteen and eat rubbish. Surprisingly it doesn't take long and a lunchbox like this is really great with all it's compartments for syn free snacks! I got mine cheap from Asda www.ocado.com/webshop/product/Sistema-Plastic-Klip-It-4-Compartment-Lunch-Box-15L-Aqua-Blue/54598011?gclid=COmorYLTjMMCFSYIwwodOEQAWg&kpid=54598011

calzone · 11/01/2015 19:37

My boys have those lunchboxes Wild. Smile Really good.

How many syns for pesto?

Might have a search. Love pesto. Smile

OP posts:

I'll join you if that's ok even though I'm getting towards the end of my SW journey. I'm 5ft6 & currently 10st3, started at 13st9 (lost about half a stone before joining) and my target is yet to be decided - aiming for 9st7 but might do another half stone depending on how I feel/look.

Today I had:
B: fry-lighted mushrooms & cherry tomatoes, bacon medallions (fat removed), egg & baked beans on 1 slice wholemeal toast (half HEB)
Snack: satsuma
Lunch: carrot & coriander soup plus activia 0% yogurt
Snack: Apple & some grapes
Dinner: SW chips, peas & homemade breaded fish then total 0% yogurt with sliced banana & tspn honey (not bothered syning this meal as I've not had any other syns today & know it's well under my allowance probably about 5 or 6)
HEA is milk for coffee & other half of my HEB is a hi-if bar

PhoebeMcPeePee · 11/01/2015 21:58

Calzone your meal sounds amazing I'm very jealous. Can I also suggest you up your fruit/veg intake a bit (maybe have a mid morning/afternoon snack) and try to incorporate some sort of free carb or protein into your breakfast to give you some energy & stave off the hunger longer.

calzone · 11/01/2015 22:46

Hi Phoebe....well done to you as well. ThanksThanks

How long has it taken you to lose the weight and how have you stayed motivated?

I had a muller lite and some fruit tonight but take on board what you said. Smile

Hi, can I join you? First meeting on Friday, weighed in at 11 stone 8 which is the heaviest I've ever been (only 5 foot 2) have set my target as 9 stone but might revise it if I ever get that low!

NiceCupOfTeaAndALittleSitDown · 11/01/2015 23:02

Well done everyone on your weight losses so far, keep it up Grin

SheHasAWildHeart - I'm with you on the weight loss. My aim is to get to a 36DD bra (I'm 38E) at present. Then I can a) buy normal bras again that don't have 3 uncomfortable clasps at the back and b) have boobs that are smaller than my head.

I joined Wednesday, had a massive glip yesterday and ate Wagamama and cake Sad but back to it today. I don't know my weight because in the chaos on joining I forgot to get weighed .

OP posts:
BitchPeas · 13/01/2015 20:17

I'm here! Was just wondering if I could join you all. Am on week 2 of slimming world. I lost 3 pound last week. Next weigh in on Friday.

I'm 26 weeks pregnant, 5 foot 2 and 12stone 7 pounds Blush

I'm worried this week as have only done 2 lots of exercise, I'd planned 5.

BitchPeas · 13/01/2015 20:18

Calzone I've got all my books in front of me so I can try and answer even though I'm new to it Smile

calzone · 13/01/2015 20:32

Hi Peas (don't wanna call you Bitch Smile)

Welcome!
Any idea what EE, original and green plans are and if they are different in some way?

OP posts:
BitchPeas · 13/01/2015 20:46

Hi. I only know about EE. The red/green sounded to hard and confusing Blush sorry! Don't have anything in my books either.

clare8allthepies · 13/01/2015 20:49

My sister has done slimming world ages ago and I think that on the original plan meat was free but you had to syn all your carbs etc but that wasn't great if you were veggie so they introduced a green plan where your varbs were free but you synned the meat and the original became red plan.

I think you could do either red or green or mix and match so have a red day then a green day. Fairly recently I think they've ditched them for the extra easy but still have the values for the old plans on the website as lots of people who have been happily following for ages don't want to change.

Sorry if I've got that all wrong!
