There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today

1 syn FroYo/icecream...

Frozen banana chunks,
0% greek yoghurt
1 tsp honey (1 syn)

Blitz with the blender or a stick, pop back in the freezer for a short while. Makes a change from mullerlight.

Linzdreamz · 27/01/2015 11:40

Hello everyone, I just made this so yummy hummus, if anyone would like to try. I got this from a recipe site, but dont have now, so was praying for that to turn out good!
Chikpeas in water, cook for 5 minutes on hob, 1/3 of red pepper browned for 2 mins in oil spray, juice of 1 lemon, handfull of coriander leaves, salt and a dash of red chilli flakes.. Grind until you get a smooth/ coarsy paste, which ever you prefer. For carrot battons. Yummy as a dip with other stuff too

CookieMonster101 · 27/01/2015 12:35

hastar- you said you ate bread and ryvita in a day but you didn't syn the ryvita? I am just t rying to get to grips with things and I thought you'd have to syn one or the other.

Overnight oats were delicious. So much more filling than normal porridge as well. I would def not need more than my normal hexb allowance when making them like that so it's probably the way to go.

PinkParsnips · 27/01/2015 13:03

I'm gonna try that Houmous and the frozen yoghurt things, thanks for the recipes!

Well I lost 4lb this week and got slimmer of the week Grin so 6.5lb in 2 weeks I'm happy with that.

Today is:
B: a massive fruit salad with ww strawberry Greek yog (1.5syn)

L: 1 egg, beans, 1 slice brown toast, lots of mushrooms and tomatoes

D: sticky chicken (but it's turkey Grin) with egg fried rice - should have had it last night but ended up just having a macaroni pasta n sauce instead!

HEB - 1 slice bread, 1 hifi bar
HEA - don't know, I do struggle if not having a meal with cheese as I don't drink much tea or eat cereal.

calzone · 27/01/2015 18:43

Well done Parsnips! GrinGrin

B.....toffee overnight oats with banana....= bannoffee SmileSmile
Apple, pear

Oh how unfortunate I hoped I had missed a trick somewhere and could have more ryvita. Oh well :)

Ok day food wise here but I'm unwell with a cold so didn't eat much/all tasted the same.

FannyFanakapan · 28/01/2015 18:45

How are we doing today fellow slimmers?

Still premenstrual and fussing/stressing over dentist appointment tomorrow, but keeping it together so far!

B: 2 toast (HEB) with lightest philly (1 syn)and smoked salmon, cucumber
(a really nice change from eggs or cereal. I buy the basics range from whichever supermarket.)

L: Pasta with lemon mayonnaise (2 syns) with fish sticks, left over mackaral, cucumber, tomato, apple, spring onion (Delish)

D: Ham, CousCous with dried apricot (1 syn) and a little oil (1 syn) plus peppers, cucumber, cinnamon, tomato, lemon.
Mullerlight.

HEA - milk in tea.

The last 2 days the kids have had dinner that I did not eat - eg breaded pork tonigh, and I find it hard to get motivated to make myself eat something different. Just getting a bit bored, so need to look at some SW recipes online!

calzone · 28/01/2015 20:05

Gained 0.5lbs ConfusedConfusedConfused and I don't know why!

Eaten loads of fruit and veg....

Am wondering if I should drink more water this week and eat less pasta.....

OP posts:
FannyFanakapan · 28/01/2015 20:37

time of the month?

I find I buy stuff, assuming it will be free or low, and then find its syns....like Asda Veg curry I bought and now find out its 2.5 syns....

ALso, it could be a "not eating enough" situation.

Give it a week, you may have a big loss then! or do that speed foods thing.

Im trying to do more exercise....getting out in the cold with the dog for an hours walk makes me feel better.

calzone · 28/01/2015 22:15

Thanks Fanny. Smile

Am happy with the way I have eaten but need more water.

Have had 3 caramel waffles tonight. Grin

Back on plan tomorrow.

S: 2 slices ham
L: Stir fry veg with noodles (1 syn for tsp sesame oil).
D: Moroccan lamb tagine, with dried apricots (2 syns), rice, 1/3rd flatbread (4 syns) (very tasty but not filling need to add some chickpeas next time!)

CookieMonster101 · 30/01/2015 19:25

Weigh in yesterday and lost 4.5. Great for the first week :)

FannyFanakapan · 30/01/2015 19:31

well done Cookie!

Imscarlet · 30/01/2015 20:54

I'm trying eating more this week. My weight losses were 3lbs the first week and just a lb a week after that. I weigh myself every day and normally see the scales shift on a Sunday but it was down this morning so there might be something in it.

CookieMonster101 · 31/01/2015 08:37

I need some help with my meal planning please. I am making lots of stuff in the slow cooker and the stews and soups obviously have a lot of vegetables in them but I am not sure it's always a third. What sort of stuff do you guys make as a side? Sometimes I just have raw tomatoes or cucumber as it's very little work. Especially with the saucier things I am finding it hard to then do a third as a side dish somehow.

calzone · 31/01/2015 08:49

Cookie.....we love veg in our house so not a problem here! Smile

Do side orders of

Carrots
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Cabbage

Make soup for extra veg.

Had a friend over last night. I made a ff carrot and coriander soup and had a bowl of it before she arrived! Also cooked a pack of veg of broccoli and green beans and ate that too.

i hate falling off the wagon, as it were. Had my inlaws here last night, and so there was wine. And cake. I was OK Until dinner, when I had a small portion of chips....and pudding.

COffee ice cream, ginger pudding....so so good and so loaded with syns.

So...halo dusted for a day of being on plan again, and a couple of days of superfast foods I think!
