Ah you see, Friday was not good. Saturday was good up to dinner, when we went to the pub for a quick bite and it all went horribly wrong!

For those of you using very few of your syns, what's your weight loss like? I've read that not using your allowance can stall weight loss. I weighed in today, 1lb down. I would have been happier with 2 but it's going in the right direction!

Imscarlet · 21/01/2015 12:42

B - wholemeal toast (Heb) and banana
L - omelette with bacon, cherry tomatoes, spring onions and low fat cheese (3.5 syns)
D - will be SW bolognese pasta bake
HEA is the milk in teas and coffees.

Linzdreamz · 21/01/2015 16:52

B: bread(Heb) with lemon curd spread( not sure of syn, probably 2, will have to check on syns allowed)
L: prawns fried rice, with lots of carrot and moong beans in it
D: probably will be Rice and chicken curry
And fruit bowl
I am aiming for atleast 10 syns a day, and I am sure, it will add up to 15 by licking on my toddlers leftovers Grin
Milk in coffee
I am finding it difficult to stick to milk allowance and, ended up syn-ing it Blush

annielostit · 21/01/2015 17:47

Imscarlet, I use someone else's syns and my own and lost 5lb in 3 weeks.Smile. I do think if your not using them up you won't have anything to reduce when your near your pat.
I'd like to be 11 st7 now but if I achieve it by july using all the syns I'm happy. 12lb left to go!!

PinkParsnips · 21/01/2015 19:51

Hi, can I join in please!
I'm 5ft 6 and on week 2. I was 15st 5.5 starting weight Blush I lost 2.5lb first week which is ok hoped for more as I stuck to it 100% but never mind...

Today was:

B: 1 x alpen light (heb) and a banana

Snack: grapes, 1x alpen light (heb)

L: scrambled eggs, mushrooms and beans

Snack: 3x light babybel (across the day) hea

D: chicken stirfry with Amoy straight to wok udon noodles (1 syn)

Syns: 1x Freddo 5syns and 1x mini twirl 5 syns - I find snacks the most tricky as I'm not a savoury snacker and I love my chocolate !!

Also upping the water intake this week.

calzone · 21/01/2015 21:47

Lost 1lb tonight which makes 10lbs in total over 2 weeks. ??

Frittata and sprouts for dinner.

OP posts:
Imscarlet · 21/01/2015 22:02

Are the straight to wok noodles only 1 syn? I thought they were more for some reason!!

PhoebeMcPeePee · 21/01/2015 22:08

Pink parsnips I would look at making breakfast a bit more substantial (cereal or yogurt with fruit or if you've got time eggs with grilled/fried mushrooms & tomatoes, bacon, beans etc) and definitely up your fruit & veg intake. I've always found that whilst staying within syns will see you losing, the big losses only happen in the weeks I'm making healthier choices with less naughty snacking.

For chocolate cravings have you tried dark choc - a square dipped in tea or coffee can last for ages & gives you the sweet hit without relying on too many choccie bars. Upping your fruit intake will help a bit too - eg cut up melon in the fridge, grapes in a bowl etc so you have something ready to grab.

Hth (3.5st off 7lbs to go Wink)

Imscarlet · 21/01/2015 22:10

Phoebe, how long did it take you to lose 3.5st? That's about what I'd like to lose!! Well done!

PhoebeMcPeePee · 21/01/2015 22:19

B: bacon, egg, beans & fried mushrooms & courgettes
Snack: satsuma & some grapes and coffee out 4 syns

Lunch: huge bowl of super speed soup with spoon of quark on top plus 0% activia yogurt
Snack: Apple, hi-fi bar ( half HEB)
Dinner: grilled chicken breast, carrots, green beans & broccoli, mashed potato (milk, mustard & quark added) plus gravy - 4 syns then fat free yogurt with sliced banana & honey 1 syn
Snack: melon, hi-fi bar (half HEB) &

Adding another 2 syns for stealing some of DS's tea Smile so 11syns total

HEA milk for coffee

Hoping to hit target by end of next month - 7lbs in 5 weeks so very doable but lots of birthdays & entertaining coming up and it's definitely slowed down/getting harder.

PhoebeMcPeePee · 21/01/2015 22:29

Quite a while considering I started end of March Smile BUT I took the whole of August off (2 week holiday & just needed a break but actually only gained 2lbs). I also haven't actually lost much since end of November but totally changed shape from exercise. It's only really now I'm back on plan as I want to shift this last half stone.

I'd say 7 months of properly following plan but it will be best part of a year from start to finish. It doesn't feel like I've been dieting all the time & my eating / exercise habits are unrecognisable from this time last year Grin

Imscarlet · 22/01/2015 14:53

Well done, that's amazing!!
