There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today
B......fruit/tea with sk milk
L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

Hello all...can I join please? I've started today (again Hmm!) doing SW from home. I've got a lot going on at the moment so going to be gentle with myself.

Today:
B- porridge with 2 syns choc spread
L- 2 slices ham, freddo
D-lasagne, jacket pot and veg

I realise that there isn't enough to super free in there. I will rectify this tomorrow!

I've lost 2 stone over about a year doing slimming world on and off. Got another stone, maybe atone and a half to go.

calzone · 22/01/2015 18:18

What are your top tips Phoebe? SmileSmile

OP posts:
Imscarlet · 22/01/2015 18:56

B - wholemeal toast and banana
L - Superspeed soup & muller light
D - SW chicken chow mein with peppers, mange tout, spring onion, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots
1/2 a syn so far!

PinkParsnips · 22/01/2015 20:10

Thanks very much for the tips Phoebe, I definitely need to break the chocolate addiction! I've eaten my last Freddo today so that's it now haha. I'm at work mon/tues/wed very early but the other days I'm going to try a more substantial breakfast. Well done on your weight loss by the way, that's fantastic!

Imscarlet , yes the app says the Amoy straight to wok udon noodles 150g pouch are 1 syn - I was surprised too, I hope it's right!

Well today was:

B: 2 x slices of wholemeal bread (HEB), 1 x egg, lots of mushrooms and tomatoes in fry light

L: salad - cuc, toms, celery, sliced chicken, fat free cottage cheese, chopped babybel (+ 2 as a snack - HEA)

D: jacket potato, fat free cottage cheese, large side salad

Snacks - 2 x Freddo 10 syns

More fruit tomorrow!!

FannyFanakapan · 23/01/2015 13:29

Woo hoo, 3 lbs down! Ive just celebrated with 10 syns (curly wurley and some cheese on my pasta).

I went to M&S for new bras yesterday as mine were all buggered. I hate their changing room mirrors Sad but I'm keeping that large bottom image in my head for when I feel like giving up.

Onwards!

Hex a: Milk
Hex b: Toast

Bfast bacon, egg, beans, Tomatoes
Lunch: free soup with pasta added, plus 25g low-low cheese (4 syns) curley wurley.

No idea whats for dinner, but its a rushed one tonight - kids out and Im mums taxi.

clare8allthepies · 23/01/2015 19:18

Good work Fanny! Grin

Went this morning and as I couldn't make it last week my 2 weeks total loss was 6lb!

Meeting took forever so brunch was turkey rashers, beans toast and eggs
Dinner was cod with pesto and tomato, crunchy potatoes made with the spray stuff and salad.
Will splurge on some wine tonight, we're going out for lunch tomorrow so will try and find something not too costly on the syn front.

Linzdreamz · 23/01/2015 19:55

Went well today sofar, but will struggle thro weekend Sad.
B: banana and egg, coffee with milk in
L : butternutsquah n lentil soup
D: grilled chicken with carrot n lettuce sides

Finding it difficult to munch on fruits, when its this cold during day. What do you all snack, please ?

FannyFanakapan · 23/01/2015 20:28

Liznz, i agree - its hard to want to snack on something cold when its freezing out.

Try a slice of ham, some SW chips, cups of soup, noodles cooked in stock (the flavourpot ones are nice - curry, or ginger and lemongrass) with spring onions and sweetcorn....

I also ignore the clock sometimes, and eat lunch when I am hungry. Thats been 11:30 or 2:30 at times.

When Ive eaten I try and get out and about, so my tum has time to realise its full.

Some people use their syns values on crisps, if you like that crunch.

calzone · 24/01/2015 18:53

B...weetabix, banana, cutted up pear

L....syn free frittata, salad and sprouts

D...roast chicken, mashed potatoes with stock, carrots, broccoli, peas, oxo stock, 2 Linda Mc sausages Smile

Thanks Fanny Grin I haven't thought about chips and such as snacks..

Bought some ham today, not a big fan but necessity you know :) , will cook and keep some chips too.. last time i did it was so yummy with some piri piri salt on!
I am purposefully avoiding Velvet Crunch, as I may lead to many. so far I am avoiding Crisps temptation. I usually dont like Yougurt, But discovered the wonderful world of flavored Muller lights today :)
The problem is I use Milk(Hea) in coffee and Bread(HeB) for breakfast 6/7 days, so the alpen light/ cheese cubes( snacks) never cross my road.Hmm

will see how tmrw goes.. I am trying to make a meal plan for whole week.. and batch cook.. all this cooking is hard work!!

hstar1995 · 24/01/2015 20:26

B - weight watchers mini roll Blush 4 syns

L - noodles (free) with mushrooms and soy sauce

D - lasagne (0% fat mince, sauce from scratch, cheese as HexA). Garlic bread (4 syns)

total - 8 syns

calzone · 24/01/2015 21:40

Linz.....measure 35g oats and stir into a Muller lite. Leave in the fridge overnight and add fruit in the morning.

Tis a porridgey fruity delicious breakfast SmileSmileSmile

OP posts:
calzone · 24/01/2015 21:41

And an Alpen Lite bar is 2.5 syns if you don't count as an HEB.

OP posts:
Linzdreamz · 24/01/2015 22:08

Oooo.. I will try that soon, I am after breakfast ideas. I have tried a pancake out of porridge kept in yogurt last time I did slimming world. but this sounds yummier than that. There was one fab FB page called diet momma or something similar with loads of yummy stuff, but they stopped that page now.
alpen bar is not worthy Syn wise. But you know, looks more like a snack Blush

CookieMonster101 · 24/01/2015 23:17

Oh can I join please?

I only joined last Thursday so this is my first week. I'm 5.7feet and 14 stone 3.5lbs

calzone · 25/01/2015 19:27

Good day today SmileSmile

B...weetabix x 2 with sk milk
L...pasta with ham, mushrooms, asparagus ((used quark too but it split ConfusedConfusedConfused))
D...chicken (2syns) salad with balsamic, crushed new potatoes

Snack later will be Muller Light, Ringos, Alpen bar, diet lemonade.

OP posts:
PinkParsnips · 25/01/2015 19:46

B: bacon, egg, tomato, mushrooms

L: 1 x slice of cheese on toast (half HEB and HEA), raspberries, blueberries, grapes, aldi version of cherry muller light 0.5syn

D: chicken, mushroom and white wine pasta recipe from latest SW mag with extra asparagus (2.5syn)

Snack: 1 x hifi light (other half of HEB)

I do the overnight oats a lot they're lovely. I find they work better with the runnier yoghurts like muller light.
Am trying to find the toffee muller light as someone mentioned doing the oats with that, chopped banana, cinnamon and a drizzle of honey (syned) which sounds lovely!!

hstar1995 · 25/01/2015 20:50

B - Weetabix (HeB) and milk (HeA) with raspberries and sweetener

L - wholemeal toast and butter (4.5 syns), bacon with fat cut off, mushrooms, egg, ketchup (1)

D - pasta with ham, mushrooms and jar of carbonara sauce (6.5 syns)

Snacks - raspberries and fat free Greek yogurt (1pm)
Banana (4.30)

Total - 12 syns

CookieMonster101 · 25/01/2015 21:26

B: porridge (heb) with milk (hea) and raspberries.

L: salad with loads of different vegetables, egg and ham

D: pasta with tomato sauce including carrots, onion and celery

Snack: banana, 4 jaffa cakes. Also used some syns on oil (need to buy fry light) and extra porridge so ate 14 syns overall.

Does anyone else find 35g oats too little? I feel so greedy but I'm really struggling with that so I'm adding more oats using syns for now.

CookieMonster101 · 25/01/2015 21:28

Oh no just read the comment about runny yoghurt for the overnight oats. Making them the first time tonight and put it in with Greek 0% total yoghurt. Opposite of runny oops

calzone · 25/01/2015 22:07

Add a tsp of water Cookie......Smile

OP posts:
PinkParsnips · 25/01/2015 22:16

Don't worry cookie I've been using ww Greek yog and it still works , just fine but a spoon of water is a good idea just to make sure the oats have more to soak up :-)

I'm finding 35g oats ok as long as I add a banana / more fruit as well as it doesn't seem much does it!

CookieMonster101 · 25/01/2015 22:33

Added some water quickly now. If not it will be a bit more crunchy, not a disaster :) just typical that you read the advice literally five minutes after making something haha.

Got the sw chicken soup in the slow cooker for tomorrow evening. Hopefully that will be quite nice :) it definitely smells delicious

calzone · 25/01/2015 22:37

Bought Alpen bars instead of Alpen Light! 6syns not 2.5syns! Eeeeek. GrinGrinGrin

Fortunately I never eat enough syns so is probably ok.

OP posts:
hstar1995 · 26/01/2015 12:04

Snacks - cucumber and cheese
