Hi all, can I join.

I started a week or so after you. I originally weighed 10st 11, second weigh in was 10 St 9 1/2 and today's weigh in was 10 St 9 1/4 so a really slow loss.

Does water retention come into it all, I,ve started the water balance so been drinking loads of water the last few days.

I'm losing 1lb a week. I'm getting a bit disillusioned TBH. At this rate it will take me 3 months to lose a stone. Anyone else feel like this?

FannyFanakapan · 04/02/2015 18:49

thats 3.5 stone in a year - you have to play the long game. I would love to lose it quicker, but Im not sure thats good for my health.

Imscarlet · 04/02/2015 19:10

I'm not looking to lose 5lbs a week but I would like to lose 2lbs.

silky80 · 05/02/2015 07:31

Mine is the same Scarlet. I feel really bloated as well but I,m putting that down to all the water I,m drinking. I'm hoping it will all shred soon!

Linzdreamz · 05/02/2015 12:44

ohhhH!!! I was just going to ask that anyone else struggling to loose weight? I started three weeks ago, religiously following the plan EE, but the scale is still where I started. Weighing at home with this scale and God knows why!! not increasing though.. weighing in on Mondays, I think I should do it on friday, thinking, if over indulgence during weekends are the culprit. what do you guys think? but considering three weeks, the scale should show some respsct to my hard work, dont you think?? Confused and Angry

Imscarlet · 05/02/2015 15:44

My weigh in is mid week. I don't know if it makes a huge amount of difference. I mean I am spending a small fortune on food, eating things that are fine, but not what I'd choose. I only drink on occasion and haven't had an occasion since I've started so not alcohol or anything. I do use syns for chocolate, I wonder would cutting that out make a difference?

annielostit · 05/02/2015 15:57

1-2lb is all that's recommended by health ppl. Oh to lose that every week. I'd be happy with the 3 month stone award. Slim by summer. I agree with fanny, its a long game.
If your doing it at home try weighing another day to see any change. I have found that doing it myself I'm deluding myself to what I'm actually eating. Try writing everything down and on the weekend. I had 2 quality Streets earlier, that's 4 syns not counted.
Scarlet, is your food before sw different to now, you sound like your fed up with eating sw way. Its got to be sustainable for you long term or its not going to fit your life.

Imscarlet · 05/02/2015 16:13

I suppose I was sucked in with all of these 3 stone off by summer success stories that were peddaled. I know an lb is an lb and I should be happy with that, but that is a months of sticking to the plan rigidly, I will have meals out and nights out and that will put a real kibosh on my loss. My 2 bugbears are that I'm an evening snacker and find that even after eating a huge SW dinner at 6pm, I am still starving 2 hours later. I miss cooking with butter and cream. I know neither are conducive to weight loss but from age frais is not a substitute. I know I can use syns and all that, but I feel I should be getting more for the effort I'm putting in.

CookieMonster101 · 06/02/2015 06:39

Well done everyone!

I need some moral support. Had a stressful week at work and sabotaged my own weight loss. I'm so good every day till I get home and then I start eating eating eating.

So I gained 3 lbs this week Blush Back on the plan today

fannyfanakapan · 06/02/2015 11:23

Lost 5lb on the "how much stress can any one parent deal with" plan. But I did not fall into a vat of wine and a slab of dairy milk, (yeay me!) I persevered with the plan when I was able to eat. This weight loss looks like reduction in fluid retention from last week and not eating for 2 days!

But it does mean that I passed my 1 stone mark quite comfortably. And I was slimmer of the week. A small chink of light in an otherwise dark week.

calzone · 07/02/2015 15:00

Well done Fanny! ThanksThanks

Doing well calzone bet you are pleased. I slipped yesterday and despite making syn free pizza, ended up having some of the normal and gb. Think it is a texture thing. Oh and had a cooked breakfast with wee one at a play area. 1 1/2 hash browns not loaf of syns but extra and had butter on the toast (2 slices)

Have picked (tiny bits) on some twiglets.

Today we are out at a friends so wine will be a pain. I may try for the first few to intersperse with some water but it will prob be rubbish.

hstar1995 · 07/02/2015 20:52

HollyBollyBooBoo · 08/02/2015 20:31

I've been super good all week and then just gone completely mental and had 2 crumpets with butter, 2 packets of crisps and some chocolate - gutted. Why am I so self destructive?

fannyfanakapan · 08/02/2015 21:24

Lovely walk out with the dog today for over an hour, so feel quite good about that.

No breakfast, as still no appetite

Lunch: pasta with 1/2 tub of low low (HEX) smoked salmon scraps and a little lemon zest

But dinner was a bust - 3 slices of pizza - im counting that as 20 syns. Plus a glass of wine - 4 syns.

Ive also had 3 or 4 cups of tea with milk (add another 2 syns).

hey ho, tomorrow is another day.

silky80 · 09/02/2015 08:12

Weigh in 10 St 9 3/4 so 1/2 Lb gain.

Flaw in the week, some pizza and gb on Friday eve.

Lots of wine sat eve.

I think I am going to weigh my self twice weekly to monitor it better.

Ho hum can I get to 10 St 7 in a week.
