There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today
B......fruit/tea with sk milk
L...2 bread, beans, 2 eggs
D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

Bitchpeas I think I managed 2 lots of exercise during my entire last pregnancy Grin

crystal85 · 14/01/2015 10:50

Calzone I know it's a little late but from what I can gather red and green are different days on a red day you would have meat and syn certain veg and on green days it's the other way around so bit like the extra easy SP days but image one day is S and other day is P.
To much hard work to remember what I can and can not eat each day.
Maybe someone who's doing it can come and tell us xx

annielostit · 14/01/2015 11:11

Hi crystal, EE is extra easy - free meat vegetables, fruit, pasta, grains etc plus 1 a& 1 b choice + syns.
SP is any food marked S -speed or P- protein marked in the new book. Plus fruit. Pasta rice potatoes & grains aren't sp.
The idea is you fill your plate with protein & healthy carbs and fill on that.
Lots of foods that were speed foods aren't now if you've got old style books.
Does that help?

calzone · 14/01/2015 16:56

Have got my head round this now. Tis sooooo simple.

Smile

For me.....

Sk milk
2 x brown bread (Nimble)
Everything else is free!

(Not cakes, sweets, etc. Tis a fat free, low sugar diet.)

Weigh in tonight.

Plan was fine as everything is free.

Am eating loads but feeling healthy and full.

I know not to go near the biscuits as one leads to 10 for me. Same with chocolate.

Low fat yog, fizzy water, good meals, no fat or oil. SmileSmile

EnglishGirlApproximately · 16/01/2015 09:04

Hi annie - I've got the extra easy express, the all in one and the fakeaways recipe books, the syns directory from last year and the book that tells you all about the free foods, healthy extras etc. Think i might need an updated one as it seems to have changed this year but I'm losing following the old plan so not sure whether to bother? How different is the new stuff?

annielostit · 16/01/2015 10:53

There's not much difference, they only promoting ee & sp now.
The sp is like a success express day without the potato or pasta choice and only 1 a.
If your losing its no problem.
I'm sure most of us here have a diet book backlog. I got more sw & ww plans than the consultants.Grin

SheHasAWildHeart · 16/01/2015 12:27

I'm not paying for membership either. I managed to buy some new SW books from The Works online at a discounted price, so might be worth a look.

MonstrousPippin · 16/01/2015 12:45

Amazing weightloss in your first week calzone !

I'm in my second week of Slimming World. Started at 15st 6lbs and had first weigh in on Monday this week. Lost 3.5lbs which I'm very happy with. Still going strong and next weigh in on Monday night.

The only time I went wrong this week was at a working lunch where catered sandwiches on granary bread were provided. I kind of had to have them as they were the only option but I didn't take many and had free food the rest of the day.

Today was the first day I was tempted to go back to an old habit of picking up a pain aux raisin from Caffe Nero when I was too late to have breakfast at home. I managed to walk past and instead had apple, banana and grapes at work for breakfast.

Lunch: Jacket potato with baked beans and cucumber. This week I'd made my own lunch until today and there's not a lot of options in the canteen that fit in!

SheHasAWildHeart · 16/01/2015 12:53

Breakfast: Weetabix (HE) with milk (HE)
Snacks: Cucumber, tomato, banana, apple
Lunch: Tomato soup
Dinner: Might be going out for a meal, but am hoping to order sensibly esp as I've had two cups of tea because I felt a migraine coming on! Not had many syns this week so I can add them to those two cups.

I've lived off fruit, veg and soup for two weeks, am looking for to making a SW friendly lasagne at the weekend though. Will freeze portion for lunch. And I did some abs exercises and have started using the stairs to our fifth floor office rather than the lift. It all adds up lol.

Linzdreamz · 16/01/2015 14:50

Shall I join you please? Time to shift some pounds after ds2. I have books from when i did it for 4weeks in 2012. Planning to do without going to groups and weigh in at homes on fridays. Thinking of starting SW on 19th Monday, on EE plan. Meal planning in progress ??. Thats hw i came across this thread.

Imscarlet · 16/01/2015 14:58

I lost 3lbs on my first weigh in this week. I'm following the extra easy plan, making dinners from the recipes available online, soup or leftovers for lunch etc. I reckon I'm down probably another lb since weds. I'm having chocolate and synning it. I like it as a plan as I am not hungry and the recipes are very tasty and I don't have to cook something different for the rest of the family. I'm happy with a slow and steady weight loss. 9lbs is an amazing loss, well done!!

clare8allthepies · 16/01/2015 19:04

Well after all my hard work this week I couldn't go to my meeting as my 4 year old has a horrible sickness bug Sad
By my bathroom scales I have lost about 3 pounds though.
Today yogurt and fruit for breakfast, turkey rashers beans and scrambled egg for lunch and chilli and rice for dinner. Just realised I've had no healthy extras today, will maybe have a snack later on.
After an awful couple of days though am very tempted to dive into the wine, it's just the thought that I might be up all night clearing up sick that's stopping me!

calzone · 16/01/2015 20:47

SmileSmile
Thanks everyone.

B....2 weetabix and fruit platter
Banana
L....chicken and bacon salad
Snack.....Mug shot
D...veg soup and beef stirfry with noodles
Melon

  • sk milk

Am loving this way of eating.

im afraid I am a backslider - found it must have been very hot in my living room last night as my wine just evaporated, and then I found chocolate had appeared in my mouth.

I made up for it with a 5 mile walk thismorning, back on plan with a big brunch of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast, with 2 mugs of tea!

calzone · 17/01/2015 12:30

I need some free convenience food ideas......

Is Ainsley's couscous free? Smile
