There are lots of SW posts which I love reading but was finding it difficult to remember where to post my weigh in and menus for the day.

Hope no one minds me doing this......Smile

I am Calzone and I am 5ft 6'. I joined SW last week and weighed in at 14st 3lbs.
I am doing Dry January and think I have been pretty good this week with my food choices.....

Food today

D....DH is doing Lebanese and promises it is SW friendly.Smile

So, if you want to do the same.....post and share, otherwise this will be my SW experience.SmileSmile

Shocking weekend for me.

After a draining weekend at work, I skipped the gym, had a takeaway Saturday night,a full English Saturday morning and snacked on chocolate and threw in a ham baguette. Not my finest hour (s).

I am back on track today though...

Breakfast: 1 x muller light yogurt and banana.
2 x cups of tea - I wasn't hungry at lunch.
Tea: Salmon, jacket spud and brocolli
Currently enjoying an options hot chocolate.

Exhaustion and being pre menstrual really are my downfall... back to the gym tomorrow.

Onward & upward.

FannyFanakapan · 22/06/2015 20:04

B: Mullerlight yoghurt, banana
L: a protein feast - Arla Skyr Sour Cherry Yogurt (1.5s), chicken tikka, a slice of ham and a slice of roast pork. Carnivore Grin.
D: Cottage pie, carrot, brocolli.
Sn: Strawberries.
Hex A in tea. No hex B.

The skyr yoghurts are nice, but I was surprised they weren't free - no fat, low sugar, high protein. Didn't check the syns before eating, but actually they were good.

FannyFanakapan · 22/06/2015 20:04

Calzone, how did you make your sauce?

calzone · 22/06/2015 20:52

The Infamous Cauliflower Sauce

1 cauliflower boiled in vegetable stock
Garlic fried in fry light
Drain cauliflower and save stock.
Place in jug and blitz with garlic, adding stock for consistency.
Season.

I added cooked chicken, cooked vegetables and macaroni.
25 g mozzarella

Baked in oven.

I weighed in today and put on 1.5 Sad

Very miffed. Had 8 100% weeks all
Within plan. It's not hormones, that's next week.

So I decided it was because I hadnt shaken my shit up and went and ate 49 syns of things I'd wanted and avoided for the 8 weeks.

There are 2 people in my class who eat off plan one day a week - sausage rolls, pork pies, chocolate - they've both lost 4 stone - they basically get right back on plan the morning after weigh in.

I enjoyed my pastrami sandwich (24 syns - wtf!), McDonald's fries (14 syns), Krispy Kreme doughnut (11 syns) and am back on plan Smile

Really hope the system shake works - what does anyone else think?

KittyOShea · 24/06/2015 21:18

Just weighed in. 3lb off Grin

May well fit with your idea Laurie- I was out for a big 3 course dinner during the week and had rather too much wine so thought I would have gained.

Maybe a crazy day works!

calzone · 24/06/2015 23:26

I think it does work sometimes Laurie.

Let's see. GrinGrin

2lbs off tonight. 30lbs in total. Very pleased.

Had a drama at sw tonight.
Just set everything up, helpers had been weighed. Leader opens the door and our biggest 12 stone loser walks in. Young guy. Lovely chap. Keeled over. Smashed his head on the floor. Blood everywhere. I was with paramedics most of the evening. ConfusedConfused

The sw leader asked if we were ok and relocated the members to the other side of the community centre.

Chappie was carted off to hospital after a long time with the paramedics. Deep cuts to his face. Shaken up.

Poor thing Shock

Had he not eaten before weigh in and fainted?

FannyFanakapan · 25/06/2015 10:25

Laurie I am convinced that a day off plan, with some restraint and some mindfulnesss, if sometimes beneficial to weight loss. I tell myself this every week..... Grin

Yesterday:
B: 2 boiled eggs, toast (heB)
L: leftover mince, on baked spud, with 2 light babybel grated over (2/3rd hexA)
D: hunter chicken (5 syns) with veg. Mullerlight.

Tea with milk for remaining HeA, plus 2 extra.

KittyOShea · 25/06/2015 11:33

That's awful calzone. Hope he is okay.

emwithme · 25/06/2015 14:18

I went back to SW today after four years off (and three off any kind of slimming plan - did WW for a while as got it "on prescription"). I lost 5 stone "back in the day" and had successfully kept 4 of it off for AGES. I have put on 2 stone in the past year or so, mainly because I've been lazy, not eating enough of the good stuff and too much bad stuff, gone back to sugar in my coffee etc.

I am a bit miffed that spirits are 1/2 a syn more than they used to be Grin but have done a mini-shop for today's dinner (salmon fillet, new potatoes, lots of veggies) and am about to meal plan for the week with SW in mind.

Now just to work out how many syns are in "proper" gravy!

calzone · 25/06/2015 18:47

He is fine now but got stitches!!

I think he doesn't eat much on weigh in day and it was warm here so a bit dehydrated?

OP posts:
KittyOShea · 25/06/2015 19:00

Poor guy Sad I do wait for dinner until after weigh in but that's taking it to a whole new level!!

FannyFanakapan · 25/06/2015 20:20

B: Toast (HeB) and boiled eggs
L: Salmon teriyake and stirfry, noodles
D: Pasta with bacon and sweetcorn, with Calzone's cauliflower garlic sauce - yum yum, good call!

calzone · 25/06/2015 23:43

Oh Fanny! Isn't it fab? SmileSmile Opens up a whole new world of white sauce dishes!

B.....banana
L.....jacket potato with beans, salad, ham
Fruit pot

D.....chicken (2) chips (6) mushy peas

Syns.....1 biscuit (3) 2 HEB bars

OP posts:
FannyFanakapan · 26/06/2015 19:30

lost 1lb, so now 3 stone lost since jan! Very happy, as I had nearly a week off plan.

Today:

B: Skyr yoghurt, (1.5s) bacon sandwich (heB)
L: Sushi (3.5s)
D: Paella. Im going to count it as 3 syns. Plus chicken with skin on, so another 9 syns I think. Glass of wine (6 s)

Around 25 syns today, but actually, I am OK with that.

KittyOShea · 26/06/2015 19:45

Wow 3 stone Fanny. That is amazing!

B: Overnight oats
L: Butternut squash and red pepper soup. Fruit.
D: chicken, ham and leek pie topped with rosti potatoes

Syns: 1 sugar, 3.5 latte, 3 hi fi bar

emwithme · 26/06/2015 20:37

Day 2 today:

B: F/F Greek Yoghurt, Summer Berries
L: Chicken breast (sliced), leaves, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, mushroom, f/f cottage cheese
D: Steak, jacket potato, corn on the cob, mushrooms & cherry tomatoes.
Supper: Weetabix and milk (just realised I haven't had HEA or B today)
Snacks: Banana, apple, pear

Syns: 4.5 latte, 3.5 butter on jacket/corn

Fanny how much Skyr do you get for 1.5 syns?

FannyFanakapan · 26/06/2015 20:58

emwithme, its just a small pot, 150g i think. But I quite like it, and I like having a yoghurt that is free from sweetners - this one is lower sugar, but at least natural. I looked up - the unflavoured yoghurt is free, so I might buy that next time. They are filling, as very high protein. Dont know if its just an advertising gimmick?

calzone · 26/06/2015 22:32

B.....overnight oats
Banana, tangerine, strawberries

L....sushi (3)
Strawberries

D....6 Heck sausages (3) sweet potato chips, mushy peas

Glass red wine (6)
